D/P is so close to coming out get D/P unless you have enough money for FR/LG/R/S/E. It won't matter if you didn't play the other games because D/P has a whole introductory thing so you'll be fine.

LG/ FR are good as they teach you everything as a beginner..

You should buy D/P since they're the newest ones. You'll be up-to-date and then you can get all of the old games!~

Maybe you should wait till (and if) the prices of D/P go down a bit. So you could get them cheaper.

Just want to say you picked a sweet name. The answer to your question is simple. Yes, you should buy D/P even if you haven't played or owned the previous games. In D/P, there is only a small amount of pokemon you can't catch (the starters and legandaries from the previous games), and other than that, you can pretty much get the rest of the pokemon. With D/P, you will notice a big difference from FireRed, LeafGreen, Saph, ect, since moves will change due to its new gaming machanics. Also, D/P will be almost as much money as Emerald is now. If you want a head start in getting some pokemon, go for it and buy one of hte other games. Personally, I already own all the games, yeah a real pokemon nerd I am:tongue: but that's ok. Me and the are already planning are new team set with D/P to take it on the online play which again is another advantage of owning D/P and also D/P is suppost to be a huge game, like I have over 100 hours without even trying. Well, I've probably said to much already and want me to stop so take some of my advice if you want:tongue: Peace out man:cool:

Well I'd suggest getting Emerald because you can get both Groudon and Kyogre

If you already played the old Red/Blue/Yellow versions there isn't really much difference in LG and FR except for getting Mewtwo and the birds and stuff and then trading them to D/P Also you could catch a few Jhoto pokemon in LG and FR after you beat the game

But I'd suggest playing LG and FR to get the legendaries of Kanto to trade them over to Emerald and once you beat that trade the Emerald and kanto Lagendaries and stuff over to D/P

But if you played r/b/y already just get Emerald then D/P

Of course it doesn't particularly matter wich because they always explain everything at the beggining of the games with the regions proffeser guy anyway.

I'm getting Diamond because It's the new Blue/Silver/Sapphire and Sapphire sold better and Kyogre worked better in the E4. + I like Dialga better, I dunno why.

All I can tell you is but D/P and Emrald(thats what im doing and I already have Fire Red). In Merald you can get both legends and most of the event pokemon with action replay, unlike the other games.

I'm now thinking that I'll buy DIAMOND OR PEARL and then I buy either FR/LG or EMERALD. What do you think, are Emerald legendaries and starters better than FR/LG legendaries and starters?... I'm planing on a team team with the new ones and the ones from previous regions..

Up to you really. I think Emerald has much more features than FRLG. Battle Frontier offers lots of replay value. Plus, there're all sorts of things like a time system, berry planting, two kinds of bikes, blah blah. FRLG may be newer, but it was largely a remake of RBY and therefore didn't have many features, other than Sevii Islands, which can be crossed in a very short time.

You should get every game, when you get Diamond or Pearl, you can put any of the GBA games in the DS' GBA Game Slot and find Pokemon from the GBA games on Diamond and Pearl.
