EV training advice-- How fast is fast enough?

The loon making a Pichu team is back. I'm still breeding for the best IVS in my Pichus... right now one of my best guys looks like this:

IV/EV
HP: 23/250
ATK: 3/0
DEF: 20/100
SPD: 29/110
S.ATK: 27/40
S.DEF: 30/10

FINAL STATS @ LVL 100
HP Atk Def Spd Spec Atk Spec Def
235 88 80 181 112 107

Is this distribution okay? Also, is a speed of 181 faster than most? I am planning to fight a 'quaza and swampert with this Pichu so he needs to be -fast-. Any advice is welcome. Thank you!

Wow, nice IVs. Hahah... madness. I would say it is quite fast, but most Speed-Pokemon would outspeed it, obviously. But, Swampert is definitely much slower. Not sure about Rayquaza.

Well if your doing lv. 100's then your Pichu might loose to a rock type. A Golem's max speed at lv. 100 is 188...... 7 points faster than your Pichu. Sorry but I don't think that a Pichu can get fast enough for what you want.

Again, sorry. If you want faster speed you may have to *shudder* evolve Pichu!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, I didn't clarify, this was generated using a calculator, so I haven't actually fixed these EVs.

I was hoping for higher IVs... but after breeding 30 Pichu I'm loosing hope for anything higher than an average of 23...

ANYWAY. So should I plop in more Speed EVs to make sure I can outspeed most opponents? I guess I'm asking what is the cut off line from moderately fast to SUPER fast. Is it 200?

No, at lv. 100 at 200 speed is really bad. I think that the cut off is in the 250-275.

As far as IVs are, should I just settle for what I have or continue breeding? I know Pichu can never be super good but I'm just having fun. Think this is good enough? Thanks again everyone!
