Currently, I'm using a swampert in my team, however, I want to use a water pokemon with better stats. I'm thinking Milotic seems to be a pretty good choice. Do any of you guys use any of these pokemon? Which do you think is a better choice?

Yeah i used both of em as i was experimenting a team of waters. To me, Milotic has about 350 SP. DEF although mine had 324 XD. I am not the expert on stats and Ivs/ evs or whatever... Ask somebody like Meaty / Leman or any body with a knowledge of competitive play.

Either one is an excellent choice. Both are considered 'Bulky Waters' but Milotic is better suited for tanking while Swampert is more on the offensive side.
Milotic is a real pain to take down. Having the move Recover, monster Special Defence, and the trait Marvel Scale which doubles your Defence when afflicted with a status problem makes this a top-tier tank. It can learn Hypnosis which makes it very difficult to counter. Overall it's a great tank.
Swampert is also a pretty great pokemon. As I said before, it is more of an offensive threat than Milotic. Its typing of Water / Ground shuts down any Electric counter including the most commonly used way to induce paralysis. Only real threat to Swampert is Grass moves (actually Swampert is one of the main reasons why many Pokemon pack HP Grass). There are lots of variations of this (Cursepert and Mixpert for example) which make it difficult to predict. He can counter many OU pokemon such as Tyranitar or Metagross easily. Swampert is also capable of taking a pretty good beating with its 90/90 defensive stats and its 100 base HP. Very strong pokemon overall.
So between the two it's your choice. Either way you go, you can't really go wrong.

well that depends on what kind of poke u want, if u want a physical poke, choose Swampert, n if u want a more special poke, choose Milotic.
like Ness said, they r both great pokes, but i'd choose Milotic

Though I would choose Milotic based on stats in R/S/E, Swampert is better overall. Better movepool and resistance to Electric, but you're limited by it's stats: Average Sp. Atk and excellent Attack.
With Waterfall being physical in D/P, Swampert will have another STAB move right next to Earthquake.

Milotic is a lot cooler looking, and as we all know, looks are what matters. ^_~
But what everyone said is right. I guess it'd depend on your team (e.x. if you already have a good attacker and need a good tank, or vice versa)

personaly i like swampert more because he is good for switching into Magnetons or other non-uber Electrics because most of the time im using my Skarmory to spike and ill roar and get a Mageton etc and then ill switch to my swampert and take it down(all except raikou. hes been my only problem)

They are both evenly great but I prefer Swampy, more unpredictable, can take Blisseys down and can switch in on T-wave, still gets decent water power so can take Skarm too, meaning that SkarmBliss doesn't hurt it, plus, I get attached to starters.

They are both completely different, serving different purposes. Swampert in RSE does better with moves like EQ rather than Water moves, and Milotic is more of a tank than an attacker. What does your team need?
On cool factor, I'd choose Milotic. Hahah.

Actually they aren't entirely different. Both Pokemon have both excellent sponging and attacking capabilities. Difference is that Milotic leans more towards the tanking side while Swampert leans more towards the offensive side. Not to mention that Swampert mainly uses physical attacks using that excellent 110 base Attack while Milotic makes uses special attacks which run off its 100 base Sp.Attack.

The Milotic with the "typical" moveset rocks so hard.
~ Hypnosis
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam
~ Recover
This thing has never failed me in Emerald. She's the only reason why I was able to beat the Elite Four at low levels and most of the Frontier Brains. She's a beast if you play her right. :)
Swampert is just as cool, but Milo has always been just a bit better for me due to her amazing tanking skills.

See, that's what I'm going for on my D/P moveset, only I might remove Recover for Draon Pulse... Undecided yet.
My Milotic in Emerald has Attract on it, because I got one with a near perfect Sp. Atk (327, and max is 328) so I didn't feel like getting another one. Plus, it has good overall IVs. And Attract actually helps more than it hurts.

I like Mirror Coat over Hypnosis for Surprise factor.

Yay, I have a reputation of having knowledge of competetive.
I think that Swampy is better because of its type combonation, and there are better special Walls out their, but Milotic is a grat Status absorber.I also dont like Milotic, cause Ive never caught a Feebas.

I like swampert a bit more. He can take a hit, and can throw it back nicely. He's easier to get. He laerns a great variety. And he'll worth his weight in gold once DP is released, if it has a good moveset, I bet. Because he's impossible to get otherwise in DP.

My Milotic has these moves: Surf, Ice Beam, Toxic and Rest. It works better for me that way. Swampert isn't bad either; it can QuakeBeam, and only Shedinja and Surskit can resist the combo.

Milotic has high special stats but I personally like Swampert better. He can take damage without dying and has a good attack stat to make use of his ground side. His special isn't that bad if you have the right nature and he's a lot easier to get.

Personally, I would choose Milotic. It has better overall stats, and a better moveset. For example, Milotic learns Water Pulse naturally (a move I've always liked for intermediate battling, for some reason xD), while Swampert needs a TM. Also, it learns Hydro Pump at level 40, which Swampert can't learn at all.
I'd go with Milotic.
