Best bet in catching Chansey on Red's Safari?

I can't get one Safari ball to lock around it, and it keeps running. If I feed it the bait, ball won't lock. If I throw a rock at it to upset it, it either runs off or again, ball won't lock around it. Has anybody been able to capture a Chansey in the Safari Zone?

Just keep trying... Chansey is up there on the tier list so of course it is gonna be difficult to capture...

How come in the Safari Zone in Blue, Chansey can avoid a Safari Ball?

All the Pokemon in the Safari Zone can avoid a ball, but mostly just the rare ones do, ex: Kangaskan, Chansy, Tauros

I normally have the same problem with Chansey, but sadly, there isn't much else to do.

What I did, was to alternate between Safari Ball, then throw a rock, then another Safari Ball, and another rock, and so on...

It doesn't normally lock until after the second rock, but luckily, it'll normally stay in without you having to throw too many.

Just keep at it, and you'll get there eventually!!

Heh... I take my chance and just keep throwing the S.Balls until I get a catch... usually works, but sometimes not... lol.
