Egg question

First off I'm sorry if this was answered in the FAQ, but I couldn't find it. Either way my question is kind of a scenario.

I have a male Blaziken and I'm wanting to breed a new one so I can teach it Reversal. I need a female so I can breed it with Slaking, so I caught a Ditto to breed with the Blaziken I have. But my egg happened to be male and so did my second one, so I was wondering is the gender random or is it always going to be male between my Blaziken and Ditto because Blaziken is a male?

No. The baby pokemon's gender is completely random. Just keep going, you'll get a female one eventually.

Thank you. I just didn't want to have boxes full of male Torchic's before I potentially found out it wouldn't work.

You may not know this but all starter Pokemon so far have a 87.5% chance of being male. Which means that if you hatch 8 eggs, only one is gonna be female. Hope this helped.

Well the chance of getting a female is 12.5% but that doesn't neccesarily mean that you'll get a female if you hatch 8 eggs. In a batch of 8 eggs you could get 0 females (seems to happen a lot with me :susp:) or it is possible to get 8 females. It's all up to chance. Take some time and you'll get it soon enough.

You could hatch 30 and not one could be Female or your first five could all be female, it's all luck.
