A few weeks ago for the CONCACAF semi finals there was a game between Pachuca and Houston Dynamo.

The first game in Houston:
H. Dynamo 2 - 0 Pachuca

The second game in Pachuca:
Pachuca 5 - 2 H. Dynamo

Aggregate:
H. Dynamo 4 - 5 Pachuca

If the Away Goal Rule existed in this tournament, would Houston have won?

This is soccer stuff so if you don't then don't bother thinking.

That would mean that:

Houston: 2 + 2*2 + 4 = 2 + 4 + 4 = 10.
Pachuca: 0 + 5 + 5 * 2 = 5 + 10 = 15.

Pachuca would've won even with that rule, since they've won 2 out of the 3 matches.

No aggregate scores have to be level before away goals come into play.

The 3rd score is not a game. It is the sum of the goals of the first and second games.

Ok, Pooka answered my question...I guess. The scores have to be level. That sucks.

Oh XD
I wondered how the score could get 4-5.

Anyhoot,

Houston: 2 + 2*2 = 6.
Pachuca: 0 + 5 = 5.

Agg. game:
Houston 6 - Pachuca 5.

So then Houston would've won.

Sorry but I'm 100% sure that:
aggregate scores have to be level before away goals come into play.
