Recently I went to a Electronics Boutique in Australia and took one of there Magazines (there free of course) and then I flicked to the back of the magazine to check for Release dates, and guess what i found. That the Australian realease date of D/P is in June. And i just was like *beep* that we have to wait 2 extra months for this game. So to you Aussies who try to find the game at a games store in Australia at the 22nd of April, it won't be there.

It was fake, EB told me that date was just guessed. Do not believe any dates you see till www.nintendo.com.au put up the official dates.

I pre-ordered Diamond from EB Games here in Australia but I imported the US Pearl.

You do realize it's not a big deal, right? It's always the same, around the world. Japan gets the games first, then the US, and the other countries come soon after.

And June isn't 2 months after April 22nd. It's a month, a week, and a few days. Unless it's June 22nd, but anyway.

I have 2 friends who live in Australia, but it's not that big of a deal. It's not like waiting over half a year to get it here in the US. =P

And the magazines are usually correct, but not always. I think it will be around summer.

Starmie's right. EB games have only guessed the date. Nothing is official until Nintendo Australia have released it on their site.

I recently found out that Pokemon Gold and Silver were released in Australia the day after they were released in the US. I wonder why they can't just do that for all the games.

Singapore seems to be getting it around the same time as US. I hope it's the same day, but I suspect stock will come out next month. There's a high chance I mightn't be able to preorder. Look at the time left!

Looks like EB games estimated pretty well this time. The games now have an official Aussie release date of June 21st. You can read Nintendo's announcement here: http://www.nintendo.com.au/nintendo/news/index.php

:O The UK sites said 1st of June. But I guess 20 days won't make much difference, they are usually released around the same date aren't they?

I think the Australian release is usually a bit before Europe/UK, which is why I was expecting the date to be earlier than what it is.

For example, Emerald was released in Australia in June and then in Europe in October. Usually the Aus release is around 1 month away from the US release, but this time it's 2. =/

D:

D:

Why does it have to come out after my birthday? That means I have to pay for it myself:sad:

anyway, at least I know when its out. But the people in America who got it when it came out will probably have super-powerful pokemon by then D:

That means I'll have to do some serious Pokemoning (lol, not a word)

Actually, I am wondering.

Are there any differences between the US versions and the ones you get in Australia? Afterall, we all read English right?

So why? Sorry, I am 'noob' in this. Lol.

I'm quite sure the games are exactly the same, especially considering DS games are universal or whatever that word is. That's why I can't understand why it would take that long for them to release it, unless they're altering the games somehow (can't see that happening) or they're doing it deliberatly so that the release happens just before school holidays here or something. Who knows.

Hmm... don't read so much into his reply... it may be his way of sympathising.

The games are really expensive in Australia eh? In Singapore games are sold at around $60, and our currency is lower. Not mocking or anything, just making an observation. I still haven't gotten DP. I feel it's really depressing when the DP board is so active two days into the release and I can't reply to those since I'm not getting DP yet!

Good to see someone who shares my anger, but still, America is a lot bigger on Pokemon, oh, it is out specifically the 21st of June. Oh and about the cost, to convert American currency to the Ozzies, multiply American currency by 4/3.
