First of all, go Here (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/sprites.html), And go to the very bottom of the page. Click on pokemon yellow version and click a sprite of your choosing. Right click the picture and do "Save as". Save it as anything, but save it as a GIF. Now Open it with paint and open any other picture with paint. Copy and Paste the other picture into the old sprite, and Instant Devoamp!

If you save that sprite from yellow,red,blue etc.,you copy a newer sprite onto paint with the saved sprite,then you can only use the colors of the old version.
I think thats what he's trying to say.
