I'm still trying to beat my Ruby game, and I am stuck on Drake. I cannot seem to get past him. My pokemon party is:
Sceptile
Swellow
Hariyama
Muk
Crawdaunt
Flygon
I can get all the way to Salamence, and then I'm finished after he uses one of his moves. Help please!

Hmm...
Muk should be able to use Ice Beam, as well as Crawdaunt. If you have it, teach it to them...
Could you give movesets? I could help more if I knew your attacks.

Giga Drain, Leaf Blade AND Solar Beam on Sceptile O_O um, why?

I'm wondering the same thing....
Anyways, use Swellow first and take down a LEAST one poke.
Then when Swellow faints full out Crawdaunt. Pray for the best, and use Blizzard. It SHOULD OHKO everything. BTW, Swords Dance is pointless, it does'nt up S. ATK
Whip out Hariyama and Belly Drum, switch to Crawdunt, Hyper Potion, switch back, Vital Throw like a madman
If he goes down, use Muk and Sludge Bomb like crazy.
At this point his eyes should be X's and a flashing neon sign will read: OVERKILL
Well, I wish you the best of luck!!

You shouldnt have much of a problem, I beat the entire Elite 4 with Swampert and Aggron.
Also, teach Ice Beam to Crawdaunt INSTEAD of Blizzard, Its less likely to hit, but will still OHKO the dragons.

Well, I absolutely hate letting my Pokemon faint. I believe it is the trainer's fault if the Pokemon faint, and I hate it. Bleh, what should I replace on Sceptile to make him more effective?

Marill, just leave this to Paperfairy. It's strange...I start over my Sapphire game once I get eight badges...I have never challenged the Elite Four before...=x

I've had my Ruby since the day it debuted, and this is my first time to ever challenge the E4. Heh, glad to know I'm not alone.

Could you tell us there levels?

o_o I feel special....
People are saying "leave it to Paperfairy!"
:D
Anyways, about the fainting thing, sometimes you have to if you plan to win.
Levels don't matter, I've been the E4 with Late 30s Early 40s. It depends on the skill. Anyways, if you saved in front of Drake, use my plan. If not...
Ice Beam>Blizzard
Toxic>Solarbeam
Try something to that effect. Get some vitamins to put in Crawdaunt's S. Def.

Okay, how are you gonna defeat steven with those pokemon marill.

Okay, I have successfully defeated Drake! I took him down thanks to my Crawdaunt, and now, unfortunately, I'm stuck on Steven.
My Pokémon's Levels:
Sceptile @ 51
Swellow @ 50
Hariyama @ 49
Muk @ 48
Crawdaunt @ 47
Flygon @ 45
Yes, I know that they are low, however, I was just ready to beat my game so I could start on Leaf Green. It doesn't matter if I use Gameshark or not (since I do have a Gameshark), to help me beat them, but can anyone give me tips on defeating Steven?

You should've had a fire Pokemon. :susp: Use water against Aggron and Claydol. Use fighting against Armaldo (watch out for Arial Ace) and Cradily.
You could also use Crunch against Caydol (Crunch is good against psychic) but it won't work on Metagross.

I know I should have. However, I put Fire Blast on my Flygon, in hopes that it can take down Skarmory. What fighting moves should I put on my Hariyama? Focus Punch? And what moves should I place on Crawdaunt?
BlazikenInferno

Fire is the best chance for defeating Skarmory and especially Metagross.
Focus Punch wouldn't work well because you'd keep losing your focus. But maybe Brick Break?
Crawdaunt needs water moves, Surf is recomended.

Well, thanks for the advice! I appreciate it! I think I'm going to erase my Surf on Hariyama, add Brick Break, erase Ice Beam on Crawdaunt, and add Surf.

If you switch after using Belly Drum you will lose all your stat boosts.

I did it! I defeated Steven! I used Earthquake on my Flygon, who held Soft Sand. I had forgotten I had it with me. That was the turning point in the game, since he knocked out Metagross for me. It was a thrill! I'm now moving on to Leaf Green.

Leaf Green is so awesome! Anyway, yes, it is Chad, Duke. And to tell you the truth, I love battling Legendaries, rather than capturing them. Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this way, but I believe if they are truley legendaries, they shouldn't be caught. Likewise, you then are making your own Pokémon legendaries in your own eyes, when they defeat a Legendary.
