The Genesis probe has crash landed in the Utah desert. Highly trained pilots were sent to capture the capsule but didn't.

It's mission was to collect some solar ray thing and come down to Earth.

There isn't one, this is more of a disscusion.

Well that was a great thing to waste money on, but if they can fix it and do what they where saposed to do. Maybe it'll be worth it.

man, i forgot about the probe and never knew the outcome. they missed? dang. they practiced and caught the pretent probe everytime. i guess the pressure got to the pilots. well, this is sad to see money lost like that. the data collected would have aided science and outer space for many years to come. such a shame it didn't work.

Obviously, the reason the parachutes didn't work was because the probe had been floating around the sun for 3 years, They ought to know that some of the instruments would wear down.
especially after doing nothing for 1096 days and then jolting through the Earth's atmosphere.
