Hello there. Due to certain... 'concerns'... regarding my previous attempt at an RP, I have to say that I, unfortunately, failed; there weren't enough players interested in it, and I thought the interactions (or lack thereof) would be a bad thing.

So, instead... here I bring you all a new, deeper game, involving a darker and moodier setting. I hope you all do enjoy it, and, well... if not, then let's just hope it ends. Character profiles go on the other post.

REMAINING
Dawn of a New Hope

Memories from a Forgotten Past
-=-
Ah… how long has it been? Decades? Centuries?

Time does not factor here, I believe. Still, there is some sort of certainty in what has happened… at least, that, I can trust into, even if I can’t remember it.

Too long ago, back when mankind was still inferior, before any creature can possibly trace its story, even the strongest of the Legendaries itself, there was a small flame burning inside them; a ‘gift’ granted by Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi, that would allow them to become stronger… much more powerful than mere Pokémon. It was not a known ability, however; Celebi had planned this.

The flame was her revenge, in its own way… for she, who could see all and know all, had found out about the treatment she and many others would receive in the future… and, in an act of partial despair, felt this was worthless to fight against. If she was to be hated by all, then be it! She would not be the only one they would hate, however!

Thus, she plotted…

It is said by some that this was when the first traces of her evil appeared. While a biased judgement, I can afford no clear judgement of my own.

As the flame burned inside the human body, their capacity for change began developing as well… and so did their capacity for domination. Mankind, slowly, but certainly, began to overcome odds that the others had difficulty in overcoming themselves… their intellects and imagination surpassing even those of the Legendaries themselves.

The Legendaries, however, seemed to care little for this change; in fact, some were glad that the human were growing stronger, as this meant they were, indeed, the race meant to rule this world.

As mankind had grown apart from its origins, it shortly began to consider itself something different… a race of beings created by the Legendaries, in forms superior to even them, and demanded to see their so-called ‘creators’.

The first visits were maybe not as amiable, but as mankind was still not as powerful as in current times, they had no choice but to still worship their creators. As a reward, their Servants, the Twelve, were offered as allies; a sign of this new alliance… which, unfortunately was fated to doom itself.

For the Legendaries felt lust, and the children of man were attractive to their eyes; taking upon human guises, they began heading to the human settlements, during times of peace, and bred with the women, not truly caring whether they were young or old; after the first touch, the reproductive instinct just activated on them, and they had to fill them with their seed… but, perhaps due to the peculiar attitude of humans, they also began choosing certain females for their ‘families’, fathering more children with them than any other choices.

The Masters were not pleased, once they found out.

It was not hard to do so; the children of the Servants had powers similar to their fathers, capable of flight, run faster than the winds, or simply capable of destroying anything upon touching them.

Mankind, becoming more ambitious, found in these creatures limitless power and energy… a power they could control, and use to destroy their enemies.

The Pokémon found in them abominations, that ought to be destroyed, before anything could happen to themselves… and thus, the alliance that had united man and Pokémon, once before, had been its own undoing.

The Purges began. A bloody massacre, which killed countless amounts of creatures, obliterating the ‘hellspawn’ from the face of Earth, and destroyed much of the belief the humans once had for the Legendaries.

However… Celebi had learned more about the children of the Servants than the others had bothered to. She knew that, while they were certainly dangerous to the Legendaries, they were actively wild cards… most of them had chosen to not bother with serving the duties of man only because they were the society they lived in, as part of the knowledge of their Legendary father had passed down to them. And several of them had their own grudges against mankind, due to the manner they had been treated, not living in the cities who would give them support.

Lacking faith in their own specie who was supposed to support them, and despising the Legendaries for killing them… were those not proper attributes for perfect pawns, who would do anything for the one who helped them?

Indeed, that was Celebi’s plan. By executing a devious ritual at the beginning of the war, she was capable of ‘keeping’ their souls, and later forced them into continuously resurrecting, every generation or so. Protected from most dooms, they would be her agents, for when her plans became fruitful…

She created a new word for them, ‘Nephalin’, meaning ‘They who remain’, and began to focus on her plans to bring forth the destruction of her hated foes… Ho-Oh, the Eldest, who despised everything that threatened his rule as the most powerful creature… Mew, the *****, who, despite her best efforts, was the one to tame the heart of the Legendary of Darkness herself… Jirachi, the Fate, who became fearful and obsessive, despising anything that, in his mind, did not equal ‘purity’… Deoxys, the Hypocrite, who schemed behind the scenes, just like her… but only to try and advance a petty agenda that fit more a mindless creature than anything else… and those bastards from the other dimension, who were continuously plotting into merging all worlds into one… which would, ultimately, kill even her!

Still… her plans were fallible, as well. That was known to her, time after time, as she felt the bitter taste of defeat. Even though she could manipulate time to her will, and was the embodiment of Death itself, she had no way to ensure her plans would work as well as she expected, not being able to manipulate Fate like the bastard.

Still, her plans would eventually work out, she knew it… and her luckiest chance came, once she found the Nephalin of Suicune’s oldest child. Unlike the others, Kine Vrizald was not much like his father… and while he had a sense of justice and right and wrong, these normally only returned when he became an adult.

Her best pawn, she decided, and made preparations.

First, she reinforced his spirit tracker, an enchantment she had put in every Nephalin soul so she would be able to detect them easily, and set it so she’d be drawn to it once he was born once more.

Then, during his next life, she prepared his next body so he’d be born in a rich family, owning a company, and being raised by the right people.

Of course, little of that mattered to her; the important step was the next one. For about all of his childhood, she manipulated his mind, and forced the memories to come to him much earlier than he would normally have them, almost after his birth. They were also selected so that he would have an excessive dislike for about all Legendaries, except for herself, who would be his one true ally.

This manipulation was not the only one she did in these years, however; she also prepared his forces well, so they would stop any who may attempt to stop her. She was responsible for the coming of the ten who would eventually lead the Nimari, a terrorist group composed only exclusively by Pokémon, preaching the truth of their cause… but, in reality, being nothing more than killers who just wanted to rid the world of humans and those who would follow them.

And, even if her primary plan failed, she still was working in the shadows, manipulating as many Nephalins as she could to hate Ho-Oh and be willing to fulfill a powerful ritual, that would sacrifice the Eldest and bring forth either an age where she would be among the most loved of all creatures, or one where she would rule over all.

And, if everything failed, she believed she still would have the pleasure of seeing the world die, safe in her own realm, and being loved by those souls she spared from the eternal torment they’d be subjected to.

However, things did not go her way at all. One of the Nephalins, Artea Sander, had managed to completely and utterly ruin her plans, both by killing every single Nephalin she had manipulated, and by NOT killing the stupid phoenix as she wanted, but instead, giving it still a chance to return, as the ritual completely failed!

Worst of all, this was all brought upon by a mistake those idiots had done! They had allowed that humans take some of Groudon and Kyogre’s genetic material, and thus they were able to replicate the bastards’ in human form… only worse, since now they were viral as well!

She imagined Deoxys must have been pleased, back when he found out. Well, she did not know how he reacted later, when the two revived bastards were killed… by that Nephalin. Well, it had been their fault for stealing the human’s object of affection and lying to him, in that case.

Since that time, not much happened. The Legendaries still waited for Ho-Oh to return, as his essence was not truly gone… but it was nowhere as well. The humans had begun the arduous process of bringing back their former glory, both on their civilization and their manner of training Pokémon, and slowly, more and more Pokémon were becoming ‘Awake’, becoming more than mere mindless animals.

Still… Fate has never been kind to these creatures, and no matter how one tries, a person’s fate is inescapable…

The Plot
It has been two thousand years, since the last great adventure in the Pokémon world. In the Thirty-First Century, the Nephalins were brought back from the dead once more, only to be manipulated by Celebi, who wanted to use them and their fate-defying capacities to complete an ancient ritual, one that would be capable of taking the Essence of a Legendary and putting it inside one’s body. Using the Nephalin that was the most consumed by its hatred towards Ho-Oh, Ytalo Seiran, she created a whole set of servants for him to use, known as the Nimari: ten regular Pokémon, who were experimented upon and became Awakened from that process, and from that grew to hate mankind. Ytalo, being closer to his Pokémon inheritance than the other Nephalins, was thought to be their savior, and they formed a terrorist group sponsored by his foundation.

Deoxys, who had plotted for the deaths of Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza, long ago, had decided to intervene in her plans, by arranging the creations of new ‘Titans’, infecting human beings with their DNA, so that they’d become berserk and distract everyone from his true objective… sacrificing Ho-Oh so that he’d be able to create a whole race of himself, and finally be able to fulfill his true objective. With Lance as the bearer of Rayquaza’s blood, the balance seemed perfect, and the Legendaries would have had no reasons to doubt him. Meanwhile, creations such as the ‘Abominations’ were made, monstrous fusions of various Pokémon, in order to harvest darkness and chaos for his own soul.

And finally, Jirachi, the last traitorous Legendary, let his darkness consume him, and sent the Servants to go off and kill their children, after setting situations where their powers would be awakened. As he doubted their capacity, however, he also commanded various assassins from Dark Vortex to do the job for him, paying a heavy price for this task. His own reasoning for it was so that he would be the one to finish the ritual, and absorb Ho-Oh’s Essence; as a Legendary, he was the perfect embodiment for Essences, and with Ho-Oh’s power, he certainly would become the true Fate, commanding all that exists. The cause of this darkness came from his own power; he dared to look into Fate itself, and his mind was consumed by a burning, potent desire of making it come true.

The plans were perfect. Each one of them, if separate, would have worked. Even together, it was not as bad, for each one of them could have succeeded, if only the other two failed. It was supposed to work.

But it didn’t.

Ernest Yudai, the Eldest of the Nephalins, the First Son of Articuno, and one of the few who Celebi did not manage to corrupt during her various attempts, was a friend of the Gym Leader of Olivine City, who was a member of the ‘Holy Family’, whose blood would have been perfect for the rituals… and, when Kyogre kidnapped her, this only led to him chasing after her, decided to bring her back to her homeland at all costs. No matter what forces the Legendaries sent, it was all for naught, for he and the companions he brought prevailed over them all… and even Articuno himself, finally tired of his eternal torture, aided him on his quest, unlocking his soul abilities.

To make things worse, their plans were even turned back against them. The Nimari, as they realized Ytalo was not their savior, decided to destroy mankind by themselves, only to be stopped brutally. The leader of the assassins Jirachi had, taking the name ‘Kiyuki’, tried to conquer Ernest by means of lust, in order to make him not another stack on her list, but her eternal lover, betraying their order. The scientist in charge of the Abominations tried to use them to control Deoxys, realizing their inefficacy, and eventually was turned into one of his own creations.

And yet, even as the time was running out, and the ritual was close to completion, Ernest managed to not only stop Ytalo completely, but he also reversed the ritual’s effects, so that, instead of receiving the entirety of the Essence into himself, the Essence was instead expelled into the world itself, so that it’d continue to sustain itself until Ho-Oh’s revival would finally begin, centuries later. With the Nephalins dead, the dark Legendaries defeated, their plans destroyed, and even the attempt at an invasion by a ghost of an evil stopped, peace ought to have returned to the world… but it seems history has a horrible habit of repeating itself, if left unchecked.

And now… the clock is slowly approaching twelve o’clock, restarting a dark process. In the isolated land of Sinnoh, a Shadow Outbreak occurred, as mass amounts of Shadow Pokémon suddenly appeared. The balance seems steady, for now, but it is frail and weakening as time passes; all these strange Shadow Pokémon, who do not seem consumed in their darkness, but even worshipping it… they have started to attack any who comes too close, and the crescent amount of incidents is becoming a bad thing.

In Kanto, a strange church has been erected; the ‘Church of Deolysk’, which calls for a coming apocalypse, and how people must bond deeper with their Pokémon, if they want to survive this horrible situation. Situated in the ruins of the old Radio Tower, many say that the spirits of the dead are finally appeased, giving it the indication that this disaster is sure to come… but some say that this ‘church’ is no better than what it warns about.

In Hoenn, replacing the financially broken Devon Corp, a new industry emerged. Situated in the capital, the ‘Sapiate Factory’, as the building is called, has taken the edge on the creation, development, and enhancement of all human facilities and items, as well as Pokémon items. One thing that has been unnerving Pokémon owners across the country, however, is the fact that their Pokémon have become more aggressive, after buying one or several of their items… but they guarantee that there are no problems in the use of their equipment; in fact, the Pokémon must simply need one of their new, patented medicines for Pokémon control.

And finally, once more, the Nephalins are returning… but the two thousand years of truce have been broken; they are, once more, in danger… but the danger does not come only from other people, but from themselves, as well.

The year is 5782. Welcome to Nihiron.

The Rules

1%) Due to temporal concerns, you can’t be any character from the canon. HOWEVER, you may use one of them as an inspiration, and even be a descendant. There are a few considerations for that, though… don’t forget those.

2%) All ideas, questions, and such must go through my thorough inspection, before being used.

3%) ALL characters must have full sign-ups, including the ones that aren’t important. Chances are they will be.

4%) You can have up to six Pokémon at the start of the game. These numbers are variable, and you must also respect the class’ characteristics.

5%) Every Pokémon starts with a maximum of four moves. These can be of ANY type the Pokémon can learn, but make sure to explain where they were learnt somewhere (PM or post). Also, be wary that moves may work a bit differently, given how it's in my vision.

6%) For Pokémon, age works differently. After about a year after birth, the Pokémon is deemed mature (in general, the following Pokémon automatically evolve upon coming of age, although not necessarily). By comparison, said Pokémon would be at the human age of 5, although it would be technically as intelligent as a preteen or teen. The first quarter of life is akin to childhood, the second and third quarters are akin to adulthood, and the last quarter of life is when the Pokémon will be technically too old.

7%) There are NO random encounters; all trainers you meet have been created especially for this task, and you won’t have to battle anyone you don’t want to battle. This leads to the point below.

8%) If you want to have ANY Pokémon in your team besides the ones you start with, make up a list containing all the ones you want to find in your path. Arrangements will be made later for each match. Be aware of one thing, however: the list is UNCHANGEABLE. You forgot to list something? You lost the chance.

9%) Given how different characters have different bios, special points will have to be discussed for future plot activity.

10%) NO Legendaries are allowed, mostly due to plot reasons, but also because I want to stop you people from being über-idjits. As a side note, Lucario and Riolu aren’t allowed either.

11%) Listen to me, and don’t bug me.

Instructions:

1%) Class refers to the roles of Trainer, Coordinator, Breeder, Nurse, Officer, Ranger, Thief, and Hunter. Each class, outlined on the section below this one, has their ups and downs, and I’d appreciate it if people tried to use various ones.
2%) Status refers to whether the character is a Regular human or an Hybrid.
3%) Specialty refers to the best thing the character can do, either inside or outside battle. It can be ‘bungee-jumping from high up’, ‘Pokémon study’, or ‘wearing fancy clothes’. Bear in mind, the Specialty should be something that MATTERS and that will be used in the game.
4%) Appearance and Clothing are separate. The first one refers to the physical appearance, without clothing (meaning that we’re supposed to picture a ‘doll’ character). Here is where description of hair, eye, and skin color, as well as characteristics related to the physical body lie. The second one refers to the primary outfit the character will be wearing for he most part of the story, but outfit changes can happen. If the character has multiple ‘primary’ outfits (for example, a Nurse having medical garb), list each separately.
5%) Starting Location is where you want your character to start at. You may start at Kanto, Johto, or Hoenn.
6%) Nephalin character applicants must request the role by PM.

Information List
HUMAN - CLASS

Trainer: A human who chose to train Pokémon and make use of them for battling purposes. Considering they are intent in winning battles, they can use most battle items to their full potential. Their Pokémon are best trained to use their attacks in the most damaging way possible, leaving little space for finesse.

Coordinator: A human who chose to train Pokémon not for battle, but for Contests. Their knowledge of Berries and the products made with them is extensive and they can make the best ones with ease. Their Pokémon are trained to be graceful and do their moves with style, instead of the more brute strength Trainers use.

Breeder: A human who chose to raise Pokémon, instead of training them for battle. They are experts in making use of Vitamins and other items that involve a Pokémon’s raising, and even seem to know things such as ‘Values’. Their Pokémon are usually trained not for battle, but for upheaval in the five Contest factors, something they do better than even the Coordinators.

Nurse: A human who chose to help others, rather than fight them, and thus entered a Nurse Academy. They are the best to make use of healing items, and usually carry equipment for human or Pokémon healing. Their Pokémon tend to have healing skills, and usually aren’t meant for battling. The term ‘Nurse’ is used due to the rather high amount of female members of this Class. Males are usually called ‘Doctors’, however, a termination also used by various females.

Officer: A human who chose to side with the law, joining a Police Academy. They are the only ones who are legally allowed the use of weapons, although only those over 21 may use firearms – younger Officers use electric batons, instead. As well as following the law, they are allowed to enforce it over others, but abuse of authority is frowned upon.

Ranger: A human who chose to side with nature as their law, joining a Ranger Academy. Unlike the other classes, they prefer to not ‘catch’ Pokémon, instead using their special gear to make the Pokémon friendlier and obey a single command. Due to this, their Pokémon are free to go away, once their duty is done, although one of them – entitled a ‘partner’ – may not leave.

Thief: A human who has nothing left in life, and thus must now steal to survive; alternatively, one of the minor members of a criminal gang, who does minor jobs for them. Unafraid of fighting dirty and disobeying the laws if needed, they do their best to complete any given mission. Their Pokémon have no trouble attacking fellow humans, if needed.

Hunter: A human who makes his/her profit from Pokémon capturing. They are trap specialists and are also great at surviving in the wilderness, living in a frail harmony with nature. Their Pokémon are mostly trained to fight until exhaustion, not giving up, and they are also more resistant than the average Pokémon.

HUMAN - STATUS

Regular: Your run-of-the-mill human. Has absolutely no special characteristics whatsoever, although he MAY be related to a main character. Last names for characters that are officially without those must be requested.

Hybrid: A special kind of human, this character has a Pokémon father and a human mother. BE AWARE THAT BREEDING MUST BE RELATIVELY POSSIBLE FOR THIS CHARACTER TO WORK. These characters have minor Pokémon abilities based on their specie, which must be denoted, as well as be more affected by natural instincts than humans.

Nephalin: A Nephalin is one of the few children of the Legendaries, having as a father one (and only one) of Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, or Rayquaza. Details are supplied upon choosing. THIS CHARACTER MUST BE REQUESTED BEFORE YOU WRITE THE PROFILE!!!

POKéMON - STATUS

Regular: A typical Awakened Pokémon. Basically, these Pokémon are self-aware. Preferably, you’ll want a Pokémon that’s capable of fighting on its own instead of just using others to fight for him. In case the Pokémon was captured, this is changed; the Pokémon is not Awakened, but rather, it simply has no different status when compared to others.

Hybrid: A special kind of Pokémon, this character has a human father and a Pokémon mother. BE AWARE THAT BREEDING MUST BE RELATIVELY POSSIBLE FOR THIS CHARACTER TO WORK. These characters have different heights, when compared to regular Pokémon (either too tall or too small), and their abilities are weaker when compared to other Pokémon. They also look significantly humanoid, even when not... at all.

Shadow: A Pokémon that had its heart sealed by the darkness. These Pokémon are divided into two groups: the first one had theirs forcefully closed, and are excessively prone to violence and bouts of anger, while the second group willingly sealed theirs, becoming cold and ruthless. While both have an excess of negative energies, the former have been consumed by them, while the latter control them instead.

Pure: Excessively religious Pokémon, these Pokémon offered their souls in exchange for power to the Legendaries… and the Legendaries, in kind, gave them full elemental control. However… these Pokémon have a problem; their personalities were corrupted by the Pokémon and element they chose, and thus, they suffer from personality dysfunctions related to their choice.

I like the idea of hybrid. I actually wrote an Ash's Father fic on Pokegym where Ash's father is actually a Pikachu who was turned to a human. Not really the same, but.. anyway, there are a few questions I have. Since Lucario is not a Legendary, heck, Riolu is actually proof of that, why is it banned? Also, in the pokemon form, you do not explain what Specialty means. And finally, what is the age standard for both kinds of hybrids?

Daedalus
05-11-2007, 12:19 AM
Lucario and Riolu are not allowed, as said, due to plot reasons. It is like the fact that Sinnoh Pokémon are not commonly found outside of Sinnoh, nor are their evolution items found there either. Is it canon? No. Is it like that because of the plot? Yes.

Anyway, the main reason I didn't put anything about the Pokémon version of Specialty is because there is no real difference between the Human and Pokémon versions. Both of them are something the character does best.

Finally, Hybrids have the same initial age rating as the specie they are: so, a Charmander with a human father will age about as much as a regular Charmander does, while a human with a Charizard father will age about as much as a regular human does. However, the first one is bound to die earlier, while the second one will take a lot more time to exit 'full maturity', and so it'll take longer to die (so, it'll likely be 150 years old or so, when it's too old to continue living).

((Ahaha! Done!))

Name: Kyle Faran

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Class: Breeder

Status: Nephalin (Rayquaza)

Personality: Kyle is reserved and could be summed up as a 'mildly interested observer.' He usually does not interfere in human events, but, being a relatively 'young' Nephalin, he is subject to impulsivity at times. He savors life, and since his awakening enjoys alcohol a bit more that most people his age. But, since he's resistant to it, that's okay.

Specialty: He is skilled with herbs, having a nearly unnatural ability to use them to best effect- both for healing, and for less... pure reasons.

Appearance: Tall and lanky, with short blond hair and startling green eyes. He weighs about 110 pounds, and is about 5'8". Since he tans easily, his skin is a nicely sun-bronzed color.

Clothing: His favorite outfit is a black t-shirt with tan cargo shorts when traveling. As a Breeder, he sometimes also wears the signature green apron, but as he thinks it looks bad on him he doesn’t often.

History: Kyle was born on Mossdeep Island, in the Hoenn Region. His family owned a large stretch of land at the edge of the island, where many Pokemon come to play. As a young boy, he watched them play and grew to be interested in Pokemon Breeding. He established a makeshift daycare business to raise money at twelve. At fourteen, his memories from past lives began to awaken, stirring him to leave home to discover who he truly was. He left Mossdeep with a few of his favorite Pokemon, and began to travel the five Regions. He takes pride in having visited every region, including Sinnoh.

Starting Location: International Ferryport, Lilycove City, Hoenn

History: Sol started as an Eevee egg abandoned by its parents in the meadow behind Kyle's house. Kyle kept it and hatched it, training it to be a companion and battler. Eventually, since he trained it during the day, he evolved into an Espeon. Since then, he has proven to be a smart and tactically skilled battler.

I apologize, but it still isn't good enough.

1-He shouldn't know what he is without talking to someone; most Nephalins spend their whole lives without knowing that, despite their memories. Go with something like 'he went on a soul-searching journey' or something else, that would fit. It's just... one year isn't enough, regardless.
2-Specialty should be something he does, that involves him LEARNING it. His immunity to poisons is natural; it doesn't count. Find something else, please.

Oh, sorry. I was just a bit confused as to what all that involved. I'm pretty sure now, though. Thanks...

And I'm really sorry if I offended your literacy tastes. I do try, but I'm just not all that experienced with this type of roleplay.

I see. It is better enough, but... well, the one part I don't get is whether you mean the one that happened in Orre in the very old past (this is, like, four thousand years after canon) or a new one that isn't this one (which, obviously, you can't have been at). But anyway, you're close enough, just explain this point.

Well, I figured that 4000 years would erase all records of the original Shadow Outbreak, so I was referring to a new one that was seen as 'the first' in the time that it occured.

Final update: give your Pokémon good personalities; that's too small. At least make it four sentences or longer. As for the 'Starting Location', for them, it's unneeded. Additionally, um... give them different moves; why does the Espeon know Psychic already, and the Swellow (who should be a Taillow, right now) knows so many high-level moves? This is a very well-thought-out RP. You seem like you've spent a while on this, and it turned out great. I'm not sure if I'll be joining or not, simply because I'm already in about ten o_o;

BTW, Uxie, you double-posted. Try to avoid that.

Well, I'll try...

Name: Aly Parker

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Class: Trainer

Status: Regular

Personality: Aly is more of the laid back, quiet type. She doesn't speak much, unless she feels that she must, or that something really needs to be said. Because of this, she has gained sort of a loner appearence, but this doesn't bother her much. She loves to meet new people and/or make new friends, but she usually prefers for them to speak to her first before conversating.

Underneath her mask of shyness though, Aly is a friendly, loyal, fun-loving girl. This isn't shown much, but if you can get her out of her shell, she's a really fun person to be around.

Specialty: Aly, over the years of her training, has become quite skilled with mechanical objects. She isn't so good with extremely large devices, but small and medium she can manage. She is also somewhat skilled with technology, such as computers and things like that. (Sorry, I can't really think of anything...)

Appearence: Aly is somewhat short for her age, but otherwise has a normal bodily build. Her skin is a light peach color; she doesn't get out much, with hardly any blemishes, let alone a couple of freckles here and there.

Dark chocolate brown hair falls down a little below her shoulders, maintaining a fairly straight style, with a bit of a wave to it. Her eyes are a bright emerald green, and always seem to stand out against the dark color of her hair. It has been noticed quite a few times that they seem to get a sort of 'glow' to them when Aly is feeling a strong feeling, such as anger or happiness.

Clothing: Aly is usually seen wearing a green shirt with a small, black heart imprinted on the front. The sleeves of it, which come down to her wrists, are striped, the colors being green and black.

Accompanying this is a pair of black jeans, parts of them being slightly worn and possibly torn. (Ha, that rhymed! =D ^^) Her feet are covered with white (of course) socks under a pair of black tennis shoes with white laces.

History: Aly grew up in Littleroot Town, Hoenn. Just like most people there, she lived in a small, cozy little house, and had pretty much everything she needed. But, despite this, she always felt something was missing...

Aly always took interest in watching Pokemon battles, both on TV and in person. She just couldn't seem to get over the excitement of the events. As a child, she even used to pretend to have her own battles with invisible opponents and Pokemon (xD). Being an only child, she usually had to do things like this, to cope with the familiar feeling of loneliness(sp?).

When she turned ten, Aly decided to set out on her own Pokemon journey, going to retrieve her first Pokemon from the town's Professor, Professor Birch.

After recieving a group good-bye from her parents and a few friends (mostly her parents'), she finally set off on her journey.

Now, Aly has traveled through most of the regions, but still hasn't been able to go to Sinnoh. With this new problem arising, it doesn't look like she will. Oh well, this should be an adventure as well...

Starting Location: Petalburg City, Hoenn

~*Pokemon~*

Name: Flame

Age: 6 1/2

Gender: Female

Specie: Blaziken

Status: Regular

Personality: Flame, despite her appearence, is a calm, sweet-natured Pokemon. She loves to battle, but doesn't really care whether or not she is the victor. Being Aly's first Pokemon, she is fairly close to her trainer, and would do nearly anything to keep her from harm, and vise versa.

Appearence: A typical, everyday Blaziken, with the red and cream colored fur. Her piercing blue eyes usually strike fear into anyone who looks dead into them, but like mentioned before, this is a kind, gentle-hearted Pokemon.

History: As mentioned before, Flame was Aly's first Pokemon, recieved from Prof. Birch as a Torchic. The two have shared many battles with each other over the years, as well as developed a strong, unbreakable bond. (Like Ash and his Pikachu) She hates being put into a Pokeball, but is usually kept there anyway; with everything that's been going on lately, Aly doesn't really want to risk anything.

Starting Location: At Aly's side

-=Move List=-
Peck ()
Sky Uppercut
Flamethrower
Double Kick

Name: Sparky (I know, not much originality there...)

Age: 6

Gender: Male

Status: Regular

Specie: Pikachu

Personality: Sparky is the 'hit 'em hard, knock 'em dead' type of Pokemon. He absolutely loves to battle, and will fight until he is sure the enemy is down and out. As would be expected, he never backs down from a challenge, and will sometimes insult a trainer or his/her Pokemon just to strike up the challenge for a battle.

Appearence: A typical Pikachu, but with a few minor changes. Its cheeks, which would normally be round, have a sort of oval shape to them, and the tips of its ears are not black, but brown. The stripes on its back are black rather than brown. Other than these few things, Sparky is a normal, everyday Pikachu.

History: Aly's first caught Pokemon, having been found wandering around in the Viridian Forest of Kanto. As had been explained, it had been deserted by its trainer, because it had been too 'weak' for them at the time. Aly, being the kindhearted girl she is, happily took it in, and the two have been unseperable since. Their relationship has its flaws, but other than that, they're like long-time best friends. (Which they actually are)

Starting Location: Inside of a Pokemon on Aly's belt

-=Move List=-
Volt Tackle
Iron Tail
Thunderbolt
Quick Attack

Name: Sun

Age: 5

Gender: female

Specie: Espeon

Status: Regular

Personality: Sun is more of the laid back type. She likes to battle, but will only do so most of the time if she must. She, like Flame, is a sweet, kindhearted Pokemon, along with a little friendly touch to her. She loves to meet new trainers and Pokemon and is a little hyperactive, which usually gets her into trouble.

Appearence: A normal Espeon, except her fur is a little more on the pink side than purple. She is brushed whenever there is a chance, and tries her best to keep herself clean.

History: Aly's second caught Pokemon, found near Ecruteak City in Johto. She was more rambuncious(sp?) then, but Aly still managed to befriend and catch her. Sun isn't as close to Aly as Sparky and Flame are, but she's close enough.

Starting Location: In a Pokeball on Aly's belt

-=Move List=-
Tackle
Psybeam
Quick Attack
Night Shade (tell me if that isn't possible)

Angelfire: Very good. However... not perfect yet. Allow me to list the problems...

1-The 'thief specialization' doesn't fit the class (Trainer). Yes, she *can* be good with fiddling with doorknobs and such, but not in this way. Having her, say, be good with dealing with basic mechanical devices such as doorknobs.

2-Your Pokémon are WAY TOO YOUNG. I can understand the Pikachu, but pay attention to your history. If she left at the age of ten with a Torchic, and now is fifteen, it should be, at the very least, six years old. Same goes for the Espeon; since it evolves based on HAPPINESS, it should take a while more. And something I don't get: why does everyone keep putting extremely young Pokémon as valid? Jeez...

3-For the movelists... for Flame, take out the strongest Fighting move. If that's not Blaze Kick, I recommend you remove Fire Blast, as well, and put a weaker version (Flamethrower, for instance, or simply Ember). For Sparky, take out Thunder; Thunderbolt would suffice. Finally, because of Psybeam, Psychic should probably be removed for now.

uxie: I guess I should do a whole, complete, total analysis, this time; it seems to me it's what I haven't been doing. Guess I'm a bit too lenient... onto the movesets: Falcos should be older, like, say, over four years. Remove Aerial Ace and Whirlwind and put weaker versions (Tackle and Gust). Sol (besides needing a better name, in my opinion, but it's your choice, really) doesn't need Psychic; Bite is already strong enough and Psybeam is the weaker Psychic.

Also, I *would* encourage one of you to have at least a different Eeveelution, if it must be in this game. Hope this was enough of a help.

– From the Ruins of Alph.

-=Pokémon=-

Name: Ex Lightheart

Age: 5

Gender: Female

Specie: Pichu

Status: Regular - Trainerless

Personality: Very excentric and slightly arrogant, Ex tend to be very noisy and noticeable. As a general rule, Ex absolutely hate being anyone's subordinate and like to take her own initiatives, which make her the common trainer's perfect nightmare. Seemingly impossible to tire, Ex constantly seek out adventure and excitement of all kinds.

Despite her form, Ex is an adult and thus, feel the need to breed... but since she's surprisingly easily seduced and constantly open to males, it's hard to tell whenever she's in heat or not. Due to the traumatic event that led to her physical state, Ex demand that her current partner love her... which automatically doom her to frustration as Awakened Pokemon aren't exactely common and her form is an instant turn-off for most sane Pokemon.

When in a combat situation, Ex's personality seems to change totally ; fighting is serious business for her with lots of honor involved... although she become ten times as bossy, too. Ex absolutely loathe those who try to put her down whenever it might be because she's a Pokemon or because she is stuck in her specie's child form. One last point is her abnormally high level of intelligence ; although Ex is nowhere near a human... her intelligence seems to be growing...

Specialty: Hand dexterity (Ex is surprisingly able with her hands. She can fight very effectively without moves as long as she have something to smack her foes with and she can be taught to use most items relatively easily)

Appearance: Ex looks like your average female Pichu except for a few points... notably, Ex like to wear blue goggles on top of her head as well as a small blue scarf around her neck. She also seems a bit too mature for a Pichu... and well, she is ; stunted growth prevented evolution to Pikachu form upon reaching adulthood. Due to this, she is slightly taller than the average Pichu but not as tall as a Pikachu.

History: An unique specimen of a Pichu. This particuliar mouse was born in the forests of Johto in a seemingly ordinary Pikachu pack. Ex was a relatively normal if not a bit excentric Pichu until one night where her pack's adults gathered to try and absorb electricity from a thunderstorm, on top of the forest's highest hill. Ex went against the adults' wishes and followed them to the hill, where she hid out of sight. After the adults left, Ex sneaked past them and alone, awaited the next thunderbolt... and well, if she wanted to absorb electricity, she was served.

Ex survived being zapped by a thunderbolt this night... but many says that it fried a good part of her neurons. Although she was indeed punished for such a risky act, what worried the adults later on was not her physical state as she seemed to recover well... but her attitude. Ex begun to act in ways that were quite unusual... for in truth, this near-death experience plunged Ex into deep thought and allowed the child to reach a state of Awakening even though she was still very young.

It wasn't long until the newly-Awakened Pokemon, bothered by her boring pack, would decide to head off. Although she needed the security and love of parents, as the child she was, fact was... mindless regular Pokemon couldn't give her the emotional peace she longed for. Her pack didn't try to stop her ; her abnormal attitude and awkward questions would have guaranteed her to be banned later on if she hadn't left anyway.

Ex managed to survive on her own, even if barely at first, by getting out of the forest and heading into a nearby human town, where she lived among the street Pokemon. In the city, she continued to grow up among the semi-wild Pokemon of the city and the kind and cruel humans alike.

Exposed to both the cruelties and wonders of street Pokemon and humans, Ex's personality was modelled after the paradoxal nature of her existence. Traumatic events and exceptional experiences alike contributed to her strange personality.

... and finally, upon reaching the age of 5, now a full adult (despite her stunted body growth, the result of a nasty traumatic event) full of her life experiences, Ex found herself longing to travel. Many times did she hear of humans going on journeys... many times did she hear of the world's other locations... and now, she long to see it all, to learn all, to experience all.

Far from being satisfied from all that she had experienced, her life experiences compelled her to live life at its fullest. After all, as a Pichu, her lifespan reached to only twenty years or so and she is more than determined to put her mark on history within this short amount of time!

Thundershock (Weak melee electric attack. As with most eletric Pokemon, Ex has basic skills with electricity and can shock targets.)
Fling (Power Throw ; require item. In order to survive in the streets, Ex had to compensate for her weaker than normal Pichu frame... and did so through items. She can hurl items with surprising accuracy at foes.)
Fake Out (First Strike attack ; first turn only, strike first, cause flinching. As a Pichu, prolonged confrontations usually aren't a good thing for Ex... so she learnt to strike first, disbalancing her foe thus allowing her to gain an early advantage over foes.)
Volt Tackle (Extremely powerful melee electric attack ; damage user as well. This move is usually forgotten when a Pichu reach adulthood, becoming a Pikachu. Ex did not forget about this move and although it is a self-damaging one, it is also an edge that she cannot ignore as it give her a chance against stronger opponents.)

Attention, people, attention...

Given how the minimum amount of people needed (two) is ready and that I have confirmation that the other person will not be able to finish his sign-up, the RP will initiate soon. All I request is that any sign-ups of interested people be done soon and that those who already signed-up send me the other Pokémon they want in their party. Many thanks in any case.
