Okay, here's the plot, please give me feedback. Also, I did not copy the anything from Lonsie's Digimon RP, this has been in the works for months now. I will also accept reservations here if anyone is interested.
Video Games. For a few decades, they've been one of the things that fill the boring aspects of our lifes, as well as free times when we really have nothing good to do. We compare scores, play together, or online, and the games themselves vary. There have been many different types of consols, different companies, and all those gaming accessories. For the gaming enthusiats, there's nothing sweeter. Or is there? For the past decade, a new company called Cybertech has been working in secret, bulding and designing. A a few months ago, they finished it. The world's most advanced virtual reality system in the form of the V-Pod. The V-Pod is a large pod device equipped with comfortable seating (leather padded), a low energy cost, and the best feature of all. A system designed to scan your mind and create an exact copy of yourself in game, perfectly customizable and changeable of course, but it provides the perfect frame. After all, after years of having the same template for video game characters, or just pre-given characters, it's nice to be able to have your own character made in your image. The device is a sleek pod that is actually equipped to be in your own home, and can even hook up to your television so other people can watch you play. You can log out at anytime, and you will respawn wherever you were in the game at the moment you looged out. As for the game itself, well...
Currently there is only one game available for the V-Pod, called The Zone. The Zone is a sort of a giant world, as well as the game that contains it, and is now well known for it's incredible graphics. You would honestly believe you were in an actual place in the real world. The object of the game itself is a simple one, just create your character and go out into the world. You can do quests from other players and NPCs, battle monsters, customize your weaponry and abilities using Gold, the currency of The Zone, and most importantly, fight and destroy other players. Every enemy you defeat earns you experience, and the more experience you earn the higher your level becomes. The higher your level, the more powerful you are, the more stats you can increase, and the more spells, weapons, and armors you can use. There are also several different classes you can be, and each class has a different base stat. What class you choose also determines your weapon. Your class will basically determine just about everything about your character.
The V-Pod has been out for quite some time, but very few people have been able to buy it because it's so incredibly expensive. Only very rich people have been able to purchase the V-Pod itself, and if the game wasn't built in, then no one would even be able to use it. This is disconceting for the owners of Cybertech, as they are losing money fast. They have decided that in order to boost promotion of the Pod, they would both decrease the price, and give ten kids the opportunity to play it for free. These children were all selected in a contest held one month ago, where all of them sent in entry forms, and ten have been selected and have recieved a letter from Cybertech telling them that they have won. They would recieve their V-Pods the next day via delivery truck. Do you want to be one of those ten?
Comments? Please? If I post a puppy with sad eyes too will that make people reply? I just want to know I'm special!
