According to Misty's Japanese voice actress, Mayumi Iizuka, Misty will return later in the Diamond and Pearl series. It is unknown whether it will be a return to the main cast or just a guest appearance.

LEt's not get your hopes up. When I watched Justice League, Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor Smallville) who did Flash's voice ALSO voiced villains so maybe this actress MIGHT be voicing perhaps a contest entrant or somebody to battle Satoshi (ASH) and company. Or maybe she challenges Hikari(Dawn) to a battle. Maybe it's a Misty appearance but let's not get overly excited.

That bolded word alone makes me highly skeptical about this. It probably referred to Kasumi's VA voicing the trivia portion of the show, seeing as she has no purpose to travel with Satoshi-tachi.

The Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia that anyone can edit. The key word is "anyone". One person might mean well, while someone else just wants to be a jerk/stupidhead/etcetcetc so they stick false stuff in there. Didn't you hear what someone did to the article about the sixth Harry Potter book? It happens. I've seen worse, too. But back on topic.

I'd like to see Misty come back, personally. We've seen Brock's (quite humorous) entrance; I look forward to seeing hers.

I don't mind saying I don't like a character, but it sounds a little vicious to say that about a girl gender you might not like in Misty. Granted she had the 'Daisy Duke' look in that attire, but she was good. I almost think maybe there was an error in the first season to have Misty on the journey with Ash, but I don't think the gaming industry thought of putting girls in the game until somebody probably spoke up about it. When the RSE came along, then they got May, and now with DP, they got Dawn.

Any appearance of 'Misty' to me is about as similar to Charlie's Angels, where Jill Monroe made 'minor' appearances, or Richie Cunningham on Happy Days 'coming' back from the army, it's just an appearance from a former castmate. Maybe May might be making an appearance to take on Dawn.

Japan is like on week 32 to my best recollection of the Pokemon DP season.

WIKIPEDIA's the key word. Never trust anything you see there, until you confirm it from an official source. They're only right a little over half the time. See, what happens alot of times, especially when a new Anime or season comes out is people go onto sites like IMDB and Wikipedia, and add things that they would either WANT to happen, or random things just as a hoax. So don't necessarily believe what you read there, especially if it isn't anywhere else.

Anyway, if it happens, I'm sure it'll just be for some sort of special or mini-movie. It probably won't be permanent. The writers aren't that smart.

Nah, Sega's proven that philosophy doesn't work. Instead of constantly introducing new characters, you should take the time to develop the ones you already have.

As for Dawn, I don't mind her. But like everyone else, she'll be outta there by the time her character really starts developing.

You obviously haven't watched the later episodes, since you're judging them by their looks. Go back to 1997 where your mindset is at.

I don't know why posters hate the characters when they haven't even seen them. All they seem to see is Pokemon is about Ash, Misty, and Brock, the Wonder Years so to speak. Well, cast changes come about in all shows. Hoenn was advertised about May traveling, but of course, TV doesn't quite follow the game format. Hikari/Dawn is also advertised, but she's entering contests. And there's nothing wrong with Dawn's outfit.:happy:

I think her backround part in Johto was showing how she was happier than in Kanto, where she's always frustrated. She was nicer and calmer. Still I agree, she got really boring, but you cant deny that Misty could tie up some loose ends.

I also like the idea, the writers are so stupid Pokemon has so much more potential then what the writters are doing for it. The only really interssting character is Ash They just let Brock fade into the shadows and why they dont do more with his caracter is beyond me. Well, getting in contact with the writers probably wouldn't do much more than possibly generate a friendly 'Thank You' letter in return.

The ones you really want to contact are the higher ups at Game Freak and even Nintendo. They're the ones in charge of Pokemon, and they would be the ones you'd want to talk with. They have far more influence over Pokemon than the writing staff.

Sure, the writers are free to come up with new plots for each episode. But Nintendo and Game Freak are the ones that introduce the new characters. They create the games, which in turn mold the overall world that the writing staff has access to. And since the Anime is based on such games, if the molded world were to change, the writing staff would have no choice, other than to change with it.

If you want a clear example of this, take the atlas you see in Pokemon The Movie 2000 and compare it to the current Nintendo Pokemon atlas. They had to change it, because new Regions were added.

Actually misty is only supposed to be in cerillian till her sisters get back from there trip. So its likely that she could come back...but not till later.

(marketing anyone) misty was built from the ground up as a gym leader who was stuck in the show to promote it, then overtime she created her own personality. (something may and dawn don'e have.) she even has a complex relationship with the main character, complex enough that unlike may and dawn, actually had a song about how she loves ash. if anyone has a reason to come back to the show its her, not only because of ash and brock. (but because they need a way to show off the 4th gen pokemon togekiss and misty's the only trainer who has a togetic.)

I don't care how the females are developed. May and Dawn are good characters regardless of their usage. I'll admit I wish they battled more instead of going to contests. I am hopeful when Team Galactic eventually comes, Ash and Dawn are the ones teaming up to deal with them. I think the problem is they don't quite follow the game and say Ash does gym battles and Dawn does contests, whereas your game character can do both.

BTW, did Spinarak eat the boy character that was on DP? I haven't seen him at all!:crackup:

what you say is true. except i didnt go to wikipedia. since it doesnt always tell the whole story of things or is changed, i try to look at other sites for details. However, Misty's actress did say that since Pokemon should be going for a very long time she would still be doing that. So i doubt that if she returns it's going to be just a seasonal thing, and I predict that after ash gets his 5th or 6th badge, she'll return. By the way, I'm new here so if someone could tell me how to post my own threads instead of replies that'd be very appreciated. Pokemon Forever! :pray::dance::thpoke_156:
