Ok, so I installed FF a few days ago, and it worked fine. I decided to get creative and get themes for it! I downloaded one, loaded it, and when I restarted FF, it wouldn't work! It showed an error:

Error loading Browser window: XBL Binding not available or something to that effect. So I went to Mozilla's help file, found the error, and deleted the chrome thing in hopes of changing my skin. But no! Skin didn't change, and after 3 uninstall/install (including deleting the actual FF folder), I couldn't load FF! So I got Mozilla instead, and noticed that even after I unistall and reinstalled the program, the skin settings stayed the same!

That means I need to change the skin for my FF, but I have no idea how to do that without opening Firefox itself!

Anyone help? :)

Okay. Wow, looks like you've gotten yourself into so much...crap. lol

Seriously, I think you're gonna have to go into the system commands to do it. Maybe the installing package for the skin has an uninstaller?

FF skins are automatically installed in a dialogue file, when you're browsing, so normally you'd need to open the browser to change it T_T

but meh, Mozilla's working so far.

I know. I changed it myself when I placed a skin on my IE. What i'm saying is you'll need to find that directory and delete those new lines the installer added.

Gah... I suggest not calling everything 'noobish'... it doesn't look good on your part... makes you seem ignorant... if that is the correct term...

I've been debating wheter or not to rplace IE with M FF... but I am just too used to using IE... it is difficult for me to change... so I am having issues decideing XD I like how IE has 'favotites' feature... but I don't think FF has that... but book marks instead... bah... so confused XD

Not to be rude or anything, but your method seems to be too much work. And worst of all, MSN has nothing to do with firefox, so how would it fix Firefox? ._. Even if that fixed firefox, how did that help gunbound? O_o

Anyhow, I fixed it awhile ago, but I forgot to say so, lol.

Well, basically, I opened up Regedit (Run -> Regedit), searched for firefox entries, deleted those. Then I went to start -> Find -> Firefox, and deleted all the entries there, and that meant I reset the skin preferences to the default skin, and thus Firefox worked again, as long as I don't switch back to that skin.

So yeah, simple answer, guessed I answered my own question.

Also, Matthew: Bookmarks = Favorites, Ctrl+D works for both, and everything else. FF, unless you have SP2 for XP, has the popup blocker feature over IE, but overall is a lot more anti-bad things than IE is. Also, IMHO the skins and things are funkier which is good, but that's personal preference.

If you can make art like you do, I doubt you'd have trouble with reading bookmarks over favorites. But if you do, I'm sure you can config that in the about:config page when you load up your FF (type in About:config and it'd take you to the huge ass config page)

Anyhow, I like the extensions that you can install on FF (Hehe, I have Firesomething installed, so instead of saying Mozilla firefox at the end of the title bar, it says Mozilla ___ ___, with 1 noun and then 1 animal, such as the Junglesparrow, the ThunderOriole, etc. (It's random)

yeah. :X

Heh... I am now converted :P I changed a few days ago, and FF is far superior than IE is... :silly: lol. I actually like the bookmarks :P
