A New Evil Team in Emerald?

Yeah, we got Magma = Ruby, Aqua = Sapphire... what about for Emerald? Possibly a Grass Team? Or maybe just both Magma and Aqua? What are your thoughts?

I'm hoping for an all new Grass-associated team (Team Flora, lol).

Actually Zam, there is no "new team", and no attempt at catching Rayquaza is made.

NOTE: The following may spoil Emeralds plot for you, so do not read if you'd rather find out yourself.


At Mt. Pyre, both Orbs are gone, so you gain the Magma Coin (Which allows access to Team Magmas Base in Mt. Chimney). After Aqua steal the submarine, you raid Magmas base (And watch Maxie awaken Groudon, who had been sleeping in the volcano), before raiding Aquas base in Lilycove. You then follow Aqua to the Underwater Cavern and watch Archie awaken Kyogre, before heading to Sootopolis (Where you see Groudon and Kyogre battling). After that, you meet Wallace in the Cave of Origin, then go meet him at Sky Pillar (Which by the way, has no cracked tiles this first time), before heading up to awaken Rayquaza. Upon entering Sootopolis again (Be it by flying or diving), you'll be greeted with another Groudon/Kyogre battle scene, but this time round, Rayquaza appears making both G/K run. After that, you are free to head back to Sky Pillar and catch Rayquaza before the Elite 4 (Still at Lv70), but as you probably know, Groudon and Kyogre are not obtainable until after you've beaten the Elite 4.

I have played the game; Don't even bother trying to prove me wrong. :P

Emerald has nothing to do with Grass...maybe they should make a Team looking for Regis or the two Dragon birds latios and Latias or even Ryaquaza (who isnt grass by the way xD) but no grass...TT...you just want to dominate the world with grass and your Team Floar >:O back off

Besides, Serebii/net has all the info on Emerald that you'd ever need (Concerning story-line, new areas, etc).

Actually, it doesn't need a lock. Moderators don't lock threads just because the base question has been answered. It's left open for opinions.

First of all... if they ever created a team like that, why on earth would Roxy (Roxanne I'm assumning), a person who has no association to grass or electric types, be the leader of the aforementioned-affiliated organization? pfffffft..... :rolleyes:

Yes... that works, but it doesn't fight the scheme exactly... notice how Team Aqua's leader is Archie and Team Magma's leader is Maxie... so if they were to create, for example, a Team Flora, they would have to use a name like Fergie ... see the trend?

The reason there's no new team is because Emerald isn't a new game. Sure, it's "new", but it's still a part of the same generation as Ruby/Sapphire. It's a special edition, really, how Yellow was for Red and Blue. If you think about it, there was no new team in Yellow that wasn't in R/B, nor was there a new team in Crystal that wasn't in G/S...Personally, I first expected Team Rocket to make a comeback in Emerald (3 versions, 3 teams; they were a logical choice), but seeing as they resurfaced in FR/LG, it only makes sense that Magma/Aqua are in this R/S expansion.

As for what a potential fourth team might be called, it's tough to say, though Flora makes sense. The only fault in that reasoning, however, is that Ray's a Dragon/Flying type; not even remotely Grass-looking.

Red = Magma/Groudon/Fire (and Ground)
Blue = Aqua/Kyogre/Water
Green ≠ Flora/Rayquaza/Plant

This requires further speculation.
