1.) What is the difference between burn and poison other thatn the fact poison does damage out of combat?

2.) What is the damage difference hail and sandstorm (both damage wise and add to attack power wise)?

1.Burn= Less damage, lowers attack.
Poison= More damage, can be badly poisoned.

2. Sandstorm= Doesnt affect ground, might increase ground power.
Hail= Doesnt affect ice, increases ice power.

How many threads have you started? Start using the sticky.

Just to add:

Burn lowers both attack and defense.

Sandstorm doesn't effect ground, rock, or steel types.

And ya dude, use the sticky threads.

Really? I thought that burn did more damage, oh well. So does being badly poisoned mean more damage?

You can only be badly poisoned from the move toxic and you take increasing amounts of damage each turn that you're poisoned.

well my golduck isn't affected by sandstorm and hes water/psycic type!!!

That's because it must have Nine cloud, which nullifies weather's effects

I can't believe that out of everyone here, **coughLucavicough** you all failed to mention that steel types aren't affected by poison. Shame, shame, shame...

And Sandstorm doesn't affect pokemon with Sand Veil, which is why Cacturne can manage to not get hit in a Sandstorm while being Grass/Dark.

Sandstorm dosnt do damage to Ground, Rock or Steel types, and increases rock types special defense by 50% now I believe.

Its why many people now consider TTar to be an uber.

How come just rock type Sp. defense by 50%?
Why not Steel or Ground?

and How you know?
It should been told by now and in Pokemon Guides and serebii.net

Burn - Damage and Atk Reduced(halved?)

Poison - Damage in and out of Battle
Badly Poisoned - Increasing Damage in battle; Damage out of battle

Sandstorm - Damage to all non-steel/rock/ground pokemon unless they have Sand Veil, Cloud Nine, Airlock or Magic Guard(Clefable); Increases Rock type SDef by 50%

Hail - Damage to all non-ice unless they have Snow Cloak; Blizzard 100% accuracy.
