I think a lot of the problems (e.g. games freezing and deleting and things) are caused by people activating two codes at the same time, which should never be done. I have used gameshark on my games many times to alter which pokémon i encounter in the wild to train easier and i haven't experienced any problems at all. I think its completely safe.

ok what they forgot to put with the code above mine is that there is a code for getting certain type of pokemon to appear with this code and it's
this so don't forget to add this to that code 83007cf60000 thats missingno don't really bother that code you can't capture him but if you alter the last three numbers of the code from 1 to 200 and also a01 to f01.But, if your like me and you want the best pokemon start from 99 to 90 and then 200 to 191 you'll have to have on the shiny code to do this!

Go for the reliable codes that are tested... I think some websites have GS/AR codes. But I am against using it... think of the consequences...

Um, I used Action Replay to capture Jurichi and others, but old Pokemon don't show on my Pokedex, like Bulbasaur, or Chikorite, etc.

You likely need the national dex. In R/S you get it by trading with another game that has it. In FR/LG/E you need to beat the E4 to get it, but in FR/LG you also need 60 different species. Also I have an AR code for emerald that temporarily turns your trainer into a sudowoodo(walking) and MEW(running).

I'll post the code either tomarrow, or some time this weekend. And Deoxys and Mew can only be traded to FR/LG/E if they were caught on birth island(Deoxys, FR/LG/E) or faraway island(Mew, E). And the Pikachu and Absol thing... likly a glitch try catching a wild one or breeding.

Nothing from this cheat is permenente. Some things I have found happen with it are; the first pokemon of your team is glitchy looking, the hand in the boxes become pokemon/eggs, the G in game freaks missing, the first type in the pokemon summery is oddly colored, the first move is untyped, but as soon as you turn the code off, everything returns to normal.

Yes...:biggrin: I love that code...I have shiny Mew and shiny Celebi and LOTS more...even eggs that hatch from the day care will be shiny!:surp: (I do that on accident sometimes while I'm breeding...:tongue3:)

You can do the always shiny Pokemon encounter code and choose a specific Pokemon on the Pokemon modifier, or catch a wild one, but when I was distributed the download on the GameShark forums, they told me that I was NEVER allowed to redistribute these codes--only the mods could. It used to have a glitch that changed your ID number (the one that I used), but now it's fixed and perfectly safe.

n00b Here when it comes to Gameshark and such. I have played all versions except D/P however but just never used a GS or AR. Curious about something, I bought a GSSP the other day and nothing i do is working. I have an Advanced, not and Advance SP tho. is this my problem? i was told that a GSSP would work for a regular Advance...was i given incorrect information?

and if i was given incorrect info, what kind of GS or AR do i need for a Gameboy Advance?

I have a Gameshark SP, and it works fine when I use it with my regular Gameboy Advance (and my SP and my DS, for that matter...). Make sure you're using the correct MASTER CODE, which is automatically activated when you try to use a code...it should be the code at the top of the list for your game.

I notice this thread doesn't seem to get replied to all that often, but I have a question.

I'm playing Pokemon emerald on my, psp, using Gpsp. I dunno if we're allowed to talk about that or not, but meh.
