fire red transfer problem

do i need the national dex in my fire red game in order to transfer pokemon to pearl?

You shouldn't need it. Just as long as you have at least 7 pokemon on your game you should be able to transfer. :3

i know why it wasn't working, i'd deleted my save file, it was a new game though so doesn't matter

Lol alright, remember the minimum amount of pokemon you have to have on your game for you to transfer is 7! :3

Yes you do need the national dex to transfer pokemon.
