I need a grass type guy on my team and I would appreciate any suggestions. I dont know why, but somehow, I keep thinking that sceptile would be good. Eh, I'm probably wrong, but could someone tell me who a good addition would be please?

If you dont have a turtwig or its evos, Id say your Sceptile.

Torterra would be great but I would go with Roserade if Torterra isn't an option.

Tropius, Venusaur, Sceptile, or Cherrim, maybe?

Yeah..Roserade has higher Sp defense than Torterra.

I'd tradeyou a treeko.
OT, Sceptile pwns with leaf storm. It OHKO'd my garchomp.
I'd have to say Exeggutor. Due to its awesome Special Attack! ;D Not to mention its trait! Doubles its speed when sunnyday is in effect! xD! Its awesome!

Exeggcutor is good, but I'd still say that Roserade or Sceptile's your best bet. (preferably Roserade)

I'm kinda surprised that no one has even proposed Leafeon. Not as good as some I guess....

Leafeon was the first one I thought of, too, but I've always been partial to Eevees.

I'm actually trying to pick which Grass type to put on my team, too. I'm stuck between Venasaur, Meganium, and Torterra. Those are my top three.

For grass types:
Leafeon - Physical Sweeper
Sceptile - Annoyer / Special Sweeper
Ludicolo - Tank / Annoyer
Roserade - Special Sweeper
Torterra - Tank / Physical Sweeper
It depends on what you're looking for in your grass type.

I don't know if this helps a lot, but I want them to focus on high Sp. Attk/Attack/HP. It doesn't need to have both versions of attack high, though. I can decide what moves to teach it later.

Leafeon's not only a physical sweeper, but also a tank.

What's Leafeon's best stat?

Attack.
Honestly, Sceptile sucks in D/P. It lost its entire movepool in D/P. All the moves it used are Physical, and its way to Fragile to use Swords Dance, thought i might be able to pull it off against a tank. It cant use Choice Band Either. It got outclassed by Roserade, and Tangrowth, in tearms of special sweeping. The only thing that it can still do, is Sub-Seed. Sort of like Typhlosion.
Tangrowth, Ludicolo, Lefeon, Torterra, Roserade, Breloom, and Exeggutor are all much better choices.

Torterra, took down a Dialga with one hit!
If that is not an option, perhaps you could go with Sceptile?

First of all, I don't recommend mixed sweepers. There's no point of them with the Atk/SAtk split in D/P.
Anyway, for a grass type with high Hp, Tangrowth can have 404 Hp max, and Torterra and Exeggutor can both have 394 Hp max.

Whats the best moveset for Leafeon?
I think this will be mine for Leafeon,
- SunnyDay
- Grasswhistle
- Last resort (Normal type, but High power damage plus leafeon's Atk stat is High)
- Leaf Blade (Of course, Attack and High critical ratio and STAB)
