use the prt scr button and then paste it in Paint or any other image program, and then remove the background by filling it with white. then post it in a smaller canvas.

Also, Firefox users can go to Tools -> Page Info. Then go to the media tab and all of the pictures are listed there in a nice, easy to download form.

Lol, Emerald the ROM, or the actual game? XD

anyway, I think that's still stealing... did you have permission? just because you're a member doesn't mean you have the right to give away stuff... that didn't sound right =P

but... come to think of it... when we're posting pics... aren't we sorta stealing as well? =P

open the page with the picture in it, refresh several time if needed. then, tools > internet options > settings > view files. look for the pic you want, click, save. done. would be best to clear temporary internet files first, so it makes your job easier.

.

It's not stealing; there not his to begin with. Sprites are the property of Nintendo. When they're out on the internet, it's perfectly moral and legal to post/share them, so long as you don't claim to own them (or prohibit others from using them *cough Serebii cough*

As long as you're not going to put them on your site and whatever, you're just wanting to edit sprites or put them on your banner, in IE you can just go to File Menu > Save As. The sprites will be in the folder that is saved with the page. ^_^

You can put the sprites on your site if you want; sprites are public domain, and Serebii has NO RIGHTS TO THEM.

yeah no website except nintendo  owns the sprites, if serebii did own them wouldn't you get done for making a banner with pokemon on them.

Exactly. Any pokémon art, including game sprites, are public domain and may be used by anyone, so long as you don't:

-make money off of them

-claim them as your own

-withhold them from others, which is only legal on things that are your property (like disabling right-clicking on a pokémon site, witholding innumerable Nintendo images

yeah like Alakazam said above you won't get in trouble unless you (read above)

True...

Heh.... they disable right click to prevent people from linking to the images and stealing their bandwith and typed information.... reasonable reasons :silly:
