1. Lengendary mon Story catching competition

Basically a competition in which you write a story for a certain Legendary Pokemon that you want to obtain. The Legends will be broken down into three categories. Tier 1=100k, tier2= 120k, tier3=140k. I think this competition will provide for many amusing stories, and will offer a challenge for all experienced writers. It would be held in September-October, and this competition, with the Colab Competition, and Large Story Competitions would become a set of quarterly-annual story writing competitions. Prizes would be: 1st: The Legend that they wrote for. 2nd: 5k, 3rd: 2.5k. All other writers will get 1k, because writing 100k story is a grueling task. All voters will obtain 1.5k as well. Anyone can vote, and all stories will be annonomous. Nobody can vote for themselves.

Tiers:

1: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Raikou, Suicune, Entei, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Azelf, Uxie, MEspirit, Phione

2: Celebi, Latios, Latias, Jirachi, Cresselia, Regigigas, Manaphy, Shaymin

3: Mewtwo, Mew, Ho-oh, Lugia, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Darkai, Arceus

2. A Weekly Raffle

Not for a large mon, or anything, but for a small item in the Mart. it would cost 1.5k each month, to enter for the next four times. Winners would be drawn on the 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. People would have three days to clam their item, before the next one is drawn. Sign ups for each month would be from the 29th of the previous month, and end on the 3rd of the following month.

3. More Auctions

Auctions are a large part of the URPG. I beleive that they should be held more often. Instead of once, whenever a holiday rolls around, but maybe every two weeks?

Well, thats all from me.

I think you should atleast offer a little more money considering you have to offer atleast 100K. :/

Maybe Legend +15k to winner, 10k+Basic to second place, and 5k+TM to third?

I still kinda think that it offers a lot to keep a legendary temporarily.

1.) Sorry not going to happen, you might if lucky get 1 or 2 entries but that's about all I would think.

2.) A raffle might not be a bad idea, maybe a once a month raffle with each person putting in $ 500 for the chance of a evolution/hold item might attract a few people.

3.) as for the auctions that won't be a problem, been a little busy but more auctions will come down the road so don't worry.

1) What's the point of writting a 140K story, if it has got the same quality of a 50k story? Length does not mean more quality. So if you want a contest for quality, length shouldn't matter, even if you capture a Legendary Pokémon in an epic-like plot. Plus, you already may win 2 legendary Pokémon by outbidding others in the writting story competition (2 per year).
2) Just another way of getting stuff without much effort.
3) See ST's post.

Keep the ideas coming though.

#1 and #3 are obvious.

#2 can be tweaked to what we had when fair was still doing the pe2k newsletter. Just pick a Pokémon of the week and give money out for it.

1 might work... Quality, however, is not the same as quantity, and I don't think everyone should vote- Not when it involves legends! Maybe just the lead/head graders, or perhaps all the graders... But I believe it should be people who grade stories, not just anyone, if legends are involved.

2 sounds like a freebie. Once a WEEK, are you kidding? Maybe once every 2 months or so might work, at the MOST often, with ONE drawing, not 4... Once a week is another way for lazy people to get free stuff without doing any work. People who want stuff should buy or write for it.

Auctions I definitely agree with. We could use a couple more. Not every two weeks, but more frequently would be good.

In the Summer/Winter competitions the writers could vote...

The Probability of someone winning, is pretty low, so its not really a freebie.

You have to give people time to bid.

Yes, they can... But that's a competition that a lot of people enter. If we add more and more competitions...
Besides, on top of that, this competition would require very long stories. Most people admit they don't even read the SHORT ones before voting, so what are the odds that they won't pick random ones or vote for friends, for your competition?

Someone's getting a freebie every week with your method. If someone gets something for free, it is a freebie.

Yes, you should. I'm saying they should be less frequent than every 2 weeks, not more frequent.

Oh, you said more frequently in the first post.

And the item isn't that big. You'll eventually end up paying for it, if you keep entering.

No, if a contest like that got approved and tried everybody would be able to vote.
