I´ve been searching for Bagon for sometime, but I can´t find it in meteor falls nor in adjacent routes.

You can find it only in meteor falls above the waterfall in a small room. (It took me 2 hours to find it so don't worry ;) )

Righty then, in order to get Bagon there are a couple of things you are gonna' need first:
A Pokémon with Surf...
... and a Pokémon with Waterfall.
Enter Meteor Falls and Surf up to the waterfall in the back of the main cavern, use Waterfall to climb up it, and into the next room.
In the next room, you should find some stairs leading to the next area, go to them!
In this room, just follow the path round to the upper set of stairs, the lower ones will just take you back to the previous room.
In this room you will be able to fight a couple of trainers, the first battle is a double-battle, so it's optional:
Old Couple John & Jay
Medicham - level 40
Hariyama - level 40
Reward: 3200 credits
Then, as you advance up the small flight of stairs, you'll have to fight another trainer:
Dragon Tamer Nicolas
Altaria - level 38
Altaria - level 38
Reward: 1324 credits
Once he has been defeated, you need to hop down the little mudslide below, but MAKE SURE YOU STICK TO THE LEFT SIDE, otherwise you'll end up being taken back to the start again.
Once at the bottom, you should see some stairs to your left, go to them.
In this next room, walk towards the water, and use Surf to head towards the top of the room, where there is a doorway, go through it.
You should now be in a small room consisting of two small pieces of land and some water in between them.
At the top of this room is TM02 - Dragon Claw, and if you walk around on either of the patches of land, wild Bagons will appear with an encounter rate of about 25% or so.
Their levels range from about 25 to 40 or so, so for a decent Salamence it's recommended that you breed for a level 5 Bagon.
Bagons may also carry a Dragon Scale on a rare occasion. If you capture one holding it or use Thief or Covet to steal it, you can use it to evolve a Seadra by making it hold the item and then trading it to a friend, this will yield Kingdra.
Hope I helped!

Now for the next headache, to catch LATIOS... :dazed:

I forgot how to catch latios/latias! *kicks self*

I can do this as well, so here goes!
Once you have defeated the Elite Four for the first time, and after the credits have finished, if you load your file up again, you will be in your bedroom, and the TV will be flashing.
The TV will mention that there is a mysterious Pokémon that has been spotted flying around Hoenn. If you are playing on Ruby, it will be a blue Pokémon, Latios; while Sapphire players will hear of a red Pokémon, Latias.
Once you have watched this program, the Pokémon will appear randomly around Hoenn. It could be in grass, or it could be in the water, but it won't be in caves or dungeons or anything like that.
Every time you move to another area or route, so will the Pokémon, and every time you use Fly, it will teleport to a random spot on the map.
If you are lucky enough to encounter it, it will run away immediately, but then you'll have it on your PokéDex, so you can then track its position on the map by using the area function.
Here is a method to capture your Pokémon for the game, which is guaranteed to work, but it may take a while to pull off depending on your luck:
Firstly, get a Pokémon whose level is between around 30 to 39, no higher, no lower.
Then, buy a crapload of Max Repels, and fly to Lilycove City.
Run on over to Route 121, which is west of Lilycove, and approach the first patch of grass you see.
Make sure that the level 30 to 39 Pokémon is at the top of your roster, and use a Max Repel.
Now, run around in the grass until the repel wears off, and if you don't encounter your Pokémon, fly back to Lilycove, and repeat the process again.
Please note that it is important that you FLY TO LILYCOVE EACH TIME, because otherwise the Pokémon will just move to an adjacent location, rather than teleport to a random one.
Once encountered, it will be level 40, and will have the following moves depending on which version you are on:
Ruby - Latios, level 40
- Protect
- Refresh
- Luster Purge
- Psychic
Sapphire - Latias, level 40
- Water Sport
- Refresh
- Mist Ball
- Psychic
It is recommended that you use your Master Ball at this time, because they're a pain in the ass to encounter, so it's best to get them on your first try.
---
There ya' have it, ^_^
Well catching Latios isn't that hard, but it's LONG!
Options:
Travel all the routes and look on your pokedex to see if Latios appeared.
Keep switching the same routes until it says Latios is near on your pokedex.
If Latios ISN'T on your Pokedex:
You will have no other choice but to travel ALL of Hoenn until it is found.
Tips:
Latios is usually on Hoenn's east water routes. (I believe I found mine right next to the water next to the guy who collects and trades shards for stones. All I did was come in, out and then checked pokedex for Latios and repeated until it was on the area. Then a sprung into action with my Master Ball)
Use a Masterball because Latios and Latias love to flee.
If you want to see ONLY Lati@s then have a lvl. 39 pokemon first on your party and keep using repels so that only Lati@s reveals itself.
Boo, I was beaten.

I´m gonna kick myself for using the master ball on rayquaza...
Oh well, I´ll try to catch using Wobuffett´s shadow tag and lots of ultra ball´s.

10-11-2004, 07:09 PM
lol, just as long as you can somehow get Wobbuffet to not kill it in the process, ya' gotta' be careful with that thar Mirror Coat.
And it's okay Duke, maybe next time, lol.

10-11-2004, 07:12 PM
My Latios is weak already, the problem is that only with ultra balls he escapes. Must try with timer balls too.
Manjoume Jun
10-11-2004, 07:14 PM
That's a good idea then, if it's already weak, just stall with Wobbuffet using, I dunno'... Safeguard or something.
You could try Destiny Bond but just make sure that you keep its HP high, you don't wanna' top it off in the process, lol.
But yeah, then just bombard it with Timer Balls.
Or you could find someone with about 20 Latios and then use Repeat Balls, XD.

10-11-2004, 07:31 PM
That´s the fun part about the game, there are plenty of ways to get a pokemon.
Looks like the timer balls are my only chance, and using safeguard.
Thanks again for the help.

Incidentally, what is the prize for winning the loto ticket? :eh:
Manjoume Jun
10-11-2004, 08:04 PM
Matching all 5 numbers gets you a Master Ball...
Matching 1 or 2 doesn't count though...
3 or 4 give prizes, a PP Up or an EXP. Share, I can't remember which is which though...
I think 3 is the PP Up and 4 is the EXP. Share, but it could be the other way around, I'm confused, :P

Thanks for this help.
And continuing my enlightment, who to catch a horsea? :eh:
Manjoume Jun
10-11-2004, 08:12 PM
Who? I think you may mean "where", lol.
Well, try using your Super Rod on Route 132 (the route directly west of Pacifidlog Town), and Horsea should appear there fairly frequently from levels of about 25 to 35.
They also carry Dragon Scales on rare occasions.

It took me forever to get a Dragon Scale for my Seadra. But once I got it I saw the power of Kingdra!
You guys probably won't believe me but I tell you this is true:
I caught Latios in my Ruby Version by simply throwing an Ultra Ball at it. I did this because I wasn't ready for any plan like you posted. I kid you not, that is how I got Latios!

Once again you are correct, i was thinking something else, but it was "where" to find it.
Now to try and catch it.
Caught Latios with only a ultra ball??? Oh, the envy...

Makes you green with envy.
I caught 13 Horsea before I finally got one with Dragon Scale. Minus the times I tried to get one from Bagon.

This Latios is gonna get it...
Now with 50 ultra and timer balls... ahahahahahah
BTW, I´ve caught horsea. Thanks DragonMasterDan

Heh, how about a couple of my past amazing experiences (both good and bad).
The good:
A very long time ago, on my Red version, I caught Zapdos in 1 PokéBall without doing anything to it, literally.
Wild ZAPDOS appeared!
DANIEL sent out VENUSAUR!
DANIEL used POKé BALL!
Alright! ZAPDOS was caught!
I was stunned at this, but I swear down on my life that it happened.
The bad:
On my Sapphire version, I needed a Moon Stone to evolve my Skitty, so I went into Meteor Falls to claim one from a wild Lunatone, using my level 28 Doduo with Thief.
7 straight hours of gameplay later and I finally stole one, the level 28 Doduo at the time was a level 63 Dodrio.
I evolved the Skitty, and decided to fight any battles on the way out with Delcatty. Next fight was another Lunatone, so I used Covet just for fun, and ended up stealing ANOTHER Moon Stone.
This was INCREDIBLY annoying, but still kinda' funny when you think about it, XD.
*sigh* I dunno'...
filgod
10-11-2004, 10:56 PM
That just proves that life is unfair.
7 hours to get a moon stone when one doesn´t have any and 1 minute to get a second one????????????
Damn, I would be VERY pissed...

Now that you mention it, what´s the pokemon #171, where to catch it? :eh:
Manjoume Jun
10-11-2004, 11:15 PM
Going by the HoennDex, that would be Snorunt, and they can be found fairly commonly at the very bottom floor of the Shoal Cave (in the room where it's all icy).
If you need directions then lemme' know and I'll provide 'em.
filgod
10-11-2004, 11:19 PM
If it´s not too much trouble I would appreciate.
Manjoume Jun
10-11-2004, 11:26 PM
Alrighty then, well, as you will know, Shoal Cave is located to the north of Mossdeep City, and it has two phases which it can be in, and these are high tide and low tide.
During high tide, the cave is flooded with water, and so not much exploration can be done, including gaining access to the room where Snorunt is caught.
During low tide however the cave is completely void of water, and so you may therefore do some more exploration, along with gaining yourself access to the icy room at the very bottom of the cave, so let's start from the entrance room with the old man, shall we.
But I'm afraid I'm going to have to edit this post with the exact directions in a few minutes, because it is high tide on my Sapphire version at the moment, and my strategy guide only covers the high tide maps (D'OH)...
So I feel kinda' useless at the moment, lol.
Unless you wanna' wander around in there randomly while I dig around for another source of directions.
filgod
10-11-2004, 11:29 PM
I´m in the same problem in my ruby version, it´s high tide.
So it´s ok for me to wait.
Manjoume Jun
10-11-2004, 11:33 PM
lol, okies then, if you still have trouble finding it by the time mine changes back to low tide then I'll direct you to the room.
filgod
10-11-2004, 11:41 PM
Fine by me. If only someone in the game said how much time to low or high tide...
I´ll just have to wait. :sleepy:
A little cheat here, When you select an ultra ball, IT HAS TO BE AN ULTRA BALL, as soon as it appears on the screen hold down either down and B or Up and b, forget which.
And when it opens, let go of Down/Up and keep holding down B.
Should work.
Finch
10-12-2004, 06:02 PM
It seems to improve chances slightly but hey that might just be dumb luck...
Manjoume Jun
10-12-2004, 06:22 PM
Heh, this kinda' thing seems to pop up a lot.
I usually just hold down A as soon as the ball shuts, which seems to give me a little luck, seeing as how on most of the occasions where I haven't done so (even on something really early on), it's never stayed in, lol.
But if I'm in a desperate situation, or I'm trying to capture a legendary, I just hold Up and B as soon as I select the ball, and then also hold down A as soon as it shuts, just for a little extra luck.
But I don't think they are ACTUALLY supposed to work or anything, but they seem to be lucky for me, :P
filgod
10-12-2004, 07:19 PM
With all this lucky tricks around, I´ll try and get some luck too.

Credits goes to Dan too.

It's okay, everyone slips up once in a while.
And good for you on the Snorunt front, heh, now to get the git up to level 42, lol.
filgod
10-12-2004, 09:04 PM
Level 42 you say...
Damn, still missing 15 levels. A couple of hours and i´ll have it, i hope.
Still, somebody in the game should give a reward for catching Lati@s, they are harder to catch than Rayquaza, at least without the master ball, i think.
