I think I might know the determination of my Pokemon being male or female:

If I take 300 steps and get an egg, the Pokemon is female.
If I take 900 steps, get an egg, the Pokemon is male.

Is that about right?

Like I have said before. They need to make a game with a new region. But that after you beat it you can go to every other region and even catch the legendaries in all the other regions. Imagine being able to go back to Johto and Kanto and catching Lugia, Ho-oh, Mewtwo, all of them.
