Well as some have seen i've been lingering around here looking at stuff, because, you guessed it, I'm back into the Pokemon TCG! I was just woundering if there had been any addistions and what i should start with. (Last set i played with was Ruby and Sapphire EX)

The new set (FireRed/LeafGreen) is a good place to catch up - a lot of good cards to try to build decks off of. Hidden Legends also has a good bunch of cards, as does EX Dragon and Sandstorm. You could avoid Team Aqua/Magma - a lot of team specific cards. Best Trainers are probably in Dragon, HL, and FRLG.

You should try and get as much FR/LG cards as you can. The ending of the next Modified Format will most likely be FR/LG. The good Trainers you need to get are from this list:
TV Reporter (Dragons) 2 in each Dragons Theme Decks
Steven's Advice (Hidden Legends) 2 in each Hidden Legends Theme Decks
Prof. Oak's Research (FR/LG) FR/LG Booster packs
Rare Candy (Sandstorm) Sandstorm Booster packs
Briney's Compassion (Dragons) Dragons Booster packs
Celio's Network (FR/LG) 2 in each FR/LG Theme Decks
VS Seeker (FR/LG) FR/LG Booster packs
Thats all I can think of right now, these are the best and most used Trainers in the current Modified Format. Nintendo needs more new people to join the game and hopefully you have fun playing the Pokemon TCG. :)

Didn't anyone learn anything from Worlds? Team Magma WON Worlds. So I think Japan proved to everyone, that Team specific cards aren't crap. They can be worked. Quite well actually.
