I was looking on the net and stumbled across this show from my childhood. It was basically a game show where kids competed to win video games. Then the winner ran through this mall course and picked up as many games as they could and stuck them to their vests. It was a riot. I remember watching this as a kid and thinking, 'Man, I'd love to be on that show'. And what's funny is that I probably own more games now than there were in that entire mall.

But the real draw of it was the host, Johnny Arcade. Without a doubt, one of the funniest, goofiest, cheesiest video game show hosts of the 80s. Anyway, here's some of his more memorable moments from the show. Fans of classic NES games will get a laugh out of this.

Warning: These clips are totally random and feature the legendary Johnny Arcade at his goofiest. Believe me, he is an absolute nut job of a video game show host. But that's what made the show so great.

That was the second season of 'Video Power', which I love.

The first season was lame, though. Johnny Arcade would do a brief video game review (sometimes acting as a character related to the game), then sit back as the program shows a cartoon featuring characters from Acclaim video games (Acclaim produced the show's first season). Johnny Arcade then would give a video game tip or two and maybe another video game review (again dressed up and acting as somebody related to the game).

Yeah, the second season was definitely the best one. The first season was ok in the Johnny Arcade department, but they had those animated Power Team shorts that looked like they were ripped off Captain N.
