Latios + Latias

Im at the point in the game where ive defeated elite four, caught Rayquaza e.t.c But having some problems finding my Latias. I know that it Randomizes when you FLY but can anyone recommend any places to catch it. Or a good spot. THNKS

the only easy way to catch it is use super or max repel, and make sure the front pokemon to be a wobbefet, and under Lv 40 or your repel won't work.

Using Repels to find Latios/as is not a good idea, since there's a high chance of encountering them in a battle if they're on the screen anyway.

Also, NEVER use Fly when searching for Latios/as, as it will make them "teleport" to a random new area.

Alright, here's my method for finding Latios/Latias (I believe it's the easiest way, though it does take a while):

STEP 1: Make sure you have a Wynaut or a Wobbufett on your team, a bunch of Hyper or Max Potions, and at least 50 Ultra Balls.

STEP 2: Go to one of the land routes or somewhere in the sea southeast of Mossdeep City. It doesn't matter too much where you go, as long as its not a town (Latios/as don't ever go to the towns)

STEP 3: Save your game.

STEP 4: Walk/Surf around in the grass/water, and fight about 4-5 battles. Run from any battles where you don't find Latios/Latias.

NOTE: You don't need to fight any more battles then 4-5 because of the appearance rate of Latios/as. If he/she doesn't appear after 4-5 battles, he's not in that area, and you're just wasting your time.

STEP 5: Soft reset or turn off and then on your GBA.

STEP 6: Load your save file and repeat steps 4, 5, and 6 until you find Latios/as.

NOTE 2: If you have seen Latios/as, than this process can be made a bit easier. When you load your game, open up your pokédex, and scroll down to Latios/as. Go to "area" to check if its in the same area as you. If it is, than search for it...if not, reset and try again.

NOTE 3: Although this is the quickest method of finding Latios/as, it still coulsd take a while. It took me hours to find Latios for me.

Rayquaza the Great, it must have been coincidence. Latios and Latias don't appear on any routes more often than others.

Actually, I prefer the method in the GameFaqs FAQ. Search Route 121, and if Lati@s isnt there, then fly to Lilycove. After that, go back onto Route 121 and search again. Repeat as much as neccessary.

Repels can be used to save time from running, though I don't suggest it; I found a Shiny Wingull during the Latios search (Which happened to last about 2-3 hours at most). Not saying you'll find a Shiny, but due to the many Mons you'll encounter, there might be a possibility of getting a Shiny or Pokerus.

I used the same method in Sapphire too, but with Repels. Only reasonm being I wanted Latias to trade to Ruby (To get all 200 Mons, which I now have). Believe I found it quicker than Latios.

Uh... The chances of catching Pokerus are higher than finding a Shiny (About 1 in 8000 or so I believe). Unfortunately, there are 386 Shinies, and only 1 Pokerus, so that makes it a little tougher...

I see...I has been under the impression that finding the pokerus was just as difficult as finding a shiny, plus I've never before heard of anyone finding the pokerus, though people find shinys now and again.

Well, there are many who have found the Pokerus virus. Who knows... You might find it, but switch off your cartridge without realising you had it (Such as the way you suggested to hunt Lati@s). I think everyone resets their game without thinking about Pokerus... I bet many have lost it through sheer bad luck. I could do with it soon though, seeing as I want to breed, and EV raise, a Scyther...

Speaking of Pokerus, i got it the first time i started up my sapphire game. Unfortunatly me being a newbie to the game at that point restarted because i was unhappy with my mudkip :( So i lost pokerus :sad:

i got pokerus when i was facing a zigzagoon, i thought it was something bad when nurse joy told me i had it, but i looked in a walkthrough and it said it raises your stats more. (i've have NEVER used gameshark OR action replay)

note:to find if you have pokerus go to the pokemon centre often, and get healed by nurse joy tells you IF you have it.

Maybe that's why I can't find any good shinies... I've had pokerus in every one of my games since silver! I honestly didn't think it was that hard to get, although I pretty religiously save off several of my mons in (was stadium(s), now) pokemon box who are infected.

I do that just so I can keep the infection rolling once I find it. If they are in a box (either on Bill/Lannette's pc or in pokemon box) they will not heal. I infect about 20 weedles/caterpies/wurmples and keep them in a box by themselves. Just pull one out of the fridge and keep it in your party until the rest are infected, then put it back in storage.

I keep the extras because eventually the infection-agent you're using will get well -- but it takes a looong time if you only bring it out often enough to infect your party.

i remember one thing..in the Summer my cousin couldnt beat the elite four..so i gladly took his Sapphire game with me(actally it was mine but now his) i defeated all the elite four it was easy..their a piece of pie except for the champion my heart was pounding,anyways after i defeated Steven i got all excited and the next day i caught Latias for him and i wanted it badly he was goign to start a new file anyways so i traded my Raichu for his Latia snd i got all excited XD i foudn her on 110 i foudn Latios when i wa sgiving up finding him and he came O_O...i caught him at 118 i got a better chance of finding him on route 118 but it was weird how he came when i gave up looking for him..a second after i gave up he came.
