on pokemon-TCG.com, with thier rewiew on FRLG, they talk about Charizard ex. They say that burn down can knock out any pokemon in one it. They also say that the only way to avoid it is with a damage-reducing attack side-effect, whitch thus far has not appeared. That gives me an idea. Will, perhaps, in future expansions, there be an attack that reduces opponent's damage next turn? Please post your thoughts here.

There are cards that reduce damage...pokemon-tcg.com isn't the best at reviewing cards...Charizard EX sucks. The non-holo Dragon Salamence reduces opponents damage by 10 I believe, HL Cloyster by 20. Pinsir from the same set -20 from basic pokemon, and Dragons Shedinja prevents damage from all evolved pokemon altogether.

Bottom line, don't get/trust your info from a site that is trying to promote their product. Saying Charizard EX is that powerful will only make kids want to buy it who don't know any better.

Yes, I know that. However, if you look at Charizard EX, it EXCLUDES

PokePowers
PokeBodies
Weakness
Resistance

So those don't count.

Sure. You can find it somewhere near the bottom of this list. Click on it and it will give all info. (http://www.pokemon-tcg.com/p_cards/card_sets/set_8.jsp)

If it wasn't for the not having to be affected by Poké-Powers and Poké-Bodies, this card would not be that bad. But then again, there's that discarding all 5 Fire Energies. Maybe fliping a coin in order to discard them might help. The only useful attack is Slash, 3 Energies of any Type for 50 isn't all that bad.

But with his Poké-Body, all Energy attached to Charizard count as Fire... so that is one hell of a pwnage card... sorta like the Basic Charizard back in the day.

I wonder what you do if one of the energys is double colourless?

It would count as double fire (well 2 fire energies)

So, when you discard energys, is it 1 or 2 energys?
