The Downfall of an Otherworldly Beast

Prologue:
Giratina grew frantic. It paced around a giant spear pillar, most likely carved out of a giant stone, with a legend etched on it. It fluttered it's wing's in dismay. It had not seen, nor heard of anyone, or anything being able to even reach the lake that it's cave settled near by. After all, it lived in a secluded cave, protected by a lake and a very frustratingly hard maze, full of very strong Pokemon that made some of the elite of trainers challenge themselves. But, when it had sensed disturbances near it's surroundings, it knew it not be safe for long. More light than ever was shining in the damp, dark rooms of TurnBack Cave, and some Pokemon seemed agitated. Not much happened, for now. The ancient, distraught beast had to choose it's most important, and maybe final judgment of it's life: To see who had come near it's dwelling, or to retreat to the far ends of the cave, hoping that who was ever out there would either give up or never try. Giratina quietly sprang up into the air, forming a swirling cloud of dust, as it used the small amounts of light to maneuver it's body through the air safely, weaving between rocks and such.

Not too long after Giratina had started to move deep into the cave, a loud rumble was heard. Soon, a very large machine with drills all over burst into the cave, and then dozens of people came out with loads of equipment. Soon after this mysterious group intruded into Giratina's cave, a large, bluish light could be seen, almost like a giant spark, and then, a very loud, ear-piercing, otherworldly screech that could frighten even the greatest of Legendaries could be heard for thousands of feet around the area, reaching the poor residents living in the nearby hotel that wasn't too far off. After words, a loud crash had been heard, and at the exact moment after that, everyone, every single person's mind was filled with the same image at the same time: A old, maybe even ancient cemetery, old and worn. The scene was covered in a deep mist, making the faintest outlines of things. And, right in the middle of everything, was a large figure, large with massive wings, and six legs. It let out a small roar, which might have even sound like something, and slowly disappeared by a swallowing darkness, covering it from the bottom up until it was gone.

At first, everything seemed calm. But, when a calm comes, so does a storm. Soon, terrible winds soon blew across Sinnoh, which seemed to come from every direction. People would seem very hot, then insanely chilly. As much as the residents of Sinnoh didn't want to accept it, reality was slowly falling apart. Reports came from all over the world, speaking of terrible storms of wind, terrible rages of water. Pokemon were slowly dying off from the extreme weather changes. Pokemon lucky enough to be in a safe area, be it a PokeBall or secluded area were safe, but others were not. Some Pokemon, like Ice Pokemon, couldn't handle the weather's insane mood swings, and slowly died off. The same was for unfortunate Grass Pokemon who weren't used to the very cold weather. Frail Pokemon like Budew's and Cherubi's population dropped great amounts.

But, worst was yet to come: First, the moon shone dimmer than normal, and so did the stars, then, and a lot more scarier, things started fazing, be it, albeit fuzzy, carbon copies of things appearing next to them, or just fading in and out. Soon enough, most of Sinnoh, and probably the whole entire world, watched in horror as the moon slowly turned a light red, covering the earth in a terrifying red color.

Plot:

People who live closet to Spring Path, where supposedly the Pokemon lived are investigating the scene, as well as people looking to legends to see if they said anything about Giratina. They also tried the cave where Giratina lived. Unfortunately, all they ever found was one small piece of a legend in the cave, carved into a giant spear pillar:

"Fear the Rush, as it comes
things will never be the same without it,
The one named Giratina, if ever lost,
the only way to fi--"

After that point, it stopped. With out the rest of the Legend, all hope was lost. Things looked grim, until one foreign stranger told of a tale about a great and mighty flute, called the Azure Flute, that, when played at the Spear Pillar, would open up a magical staircase that would lead to the greatest Pokemon of all, and all the answers. But, first, to get there, one item, and one item only would let Dialga and Palkia let you pass: The Otherworldly Cloth, only found in the deep reaches of Turnback Cave, the exact place where Giratina was.

But, the only problem was that no has seen the Azure Flute in a century, maybe even more, and legends speak nothing of it. So, all hope was lost again, unless. . .

Relation to Giratina/Giratina's Problem: Lives in Veilstone, so heard it's cry, plus has researched a lot about it, so feels a slight connection.

Description: Ven has naturally black hair with one red strip and one white strip of hair on his right. He wears a normal Grey T-shirt with a pocket on it. Over that he has a black sweater that, around where his heart is, has a white strip, red, then white again. He normally wears it sleeve up, unless it's cold. When he does, he reveals those awesome finger-less gloves that are awesome (Did I say they're awesome?). He dons dark blue shorts, even though he lived in Snowpoint for a while. For shoes, he wears black sneakers lined with with white thread to keep it together.

Personality: Ven is quite different from other people. He always looks at things in other ways. When in deep thought, he'll just plop down and start thinking. Even though his nature would seem otherwise, he can get quite reckless, which leads him into tight situations. He is very caring for all things of living, be it nature, or Pokemon. If he ever needs to, Ven would willingly throw himself into any situation as a Ranger to protect others from anyone or anything else.


History: Ven was born and grew up in Veilstone. Ever since he was a little boy, Ven has been interested in everything he's now a master at, be it sketching Pokemon or even cooking. When he turned ten, he headed off to Sandjem to receive his starter Pokemon, which was a Piplup. After four years of traveling, Ven has seen all of Sinnoh, as well as seen the Legendary Pokemon Mesprit, and was lucky enough to get a picture of it. Eventually, everything led up to now.

Other: Real name is James, but only responds to Ven.

Name: Empoleon

Classification: Emperor Pokemon

Gender: Male

Age: Empoleon is about four years, four Months, and nine days old.

Nature: Modest

Ability: Torrent (Ups water moves in a pinch)

Appearance: Empoleon resembles both the Royal Penguin and the Emperor Penguin, but more so the latter. It has metallic edges on its wings and three claws underneath. The appearance of its body gives the impression that it is wearing a tuxedo. On its head, Empoleon has three distinct horns resembling a trident, a symbol associated with the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. The length of the three horns extending from the beak symbolize an Empoleon's strength; generally, the longer the horns are, the stronger the Pokemon is. The tips of its wings are so strong that it is said they can destroy entire slabs of drift ice.


Personality: Empoleon is very loyal to Ven, and always follows him around; Empoleon stays out of his PokeBall. Empoleon is very hard to describe. He is very persistent, and has large willpower. Empoleon would walk through the most harsh blizzards, swim through the most treacherous seas, and cross the most blazing deserts if that was his objectives. Empoleon is very skilled in battle, and is a strong force to be reckoned with.

History: Empoleon as been Ven's partner for years now. Ever since he was a Piplup, his Willpower exceeded even that of Swellow's in the Hoenn region, and his loyal-ness was all the same. Empoleon is the whole reason why Ven has gotten this far. He owes everything to his great partner, and Ven treats Empoleon with utmost respect.

Other Information: Prefers to always stay out of his PokeBall.

Name: Lucario

Nickname: Nimble

Classification: Aura Pokemon

Gender: Male

Age: Around the same time as Empoleon.

Nature: Calm

Ability: Inner Focus

Personality: Nimble is a very humble Pokemon, and would not fight without cause. Nimble is normal found studying things like myths and physical combative skills, such as training while in the high trees, etc.. While he intelligent, he can be very reckless when trying to learn new things. He wouldn't be surprised if he got injured studying things like ruins and the sort. In his spare time, Nimble practices his own art of combat, similar to that of an Infernape indeed.

History: Nimble has no memory as a Riolu what so ever. As far back as he can remember, he has always been a Lucario. When he was a little Lucario, maybe a decade or so ago,, he studied under his old Sensei, who was an Infernape. Long since his death, Nimble is either looking out for knowledge, be it adventuring, or less extreme things like studying books, or practicing his art of battle, as said before. Nimble will always heed under his master's word, never to use violence unless a last resort. After a long time, and being under Ven's wing, Kucario's only form of violence is his terrible cooking ^^. Nimble loves what he does, but he knows he just might need to put everything he knows to the test.

Other Information: Nimble uses an secret technique known to Infernapes and few others, which involves attacking with all limbs. His yellow fur is darker than most of his kind, and chest horm is broken, leaving only half of it, small cracks trailing downwards.

Relation to Giratina/ Giratina's Problem: Has heard many things about Giratina through freinds and would like to learn a lot more about it.

Description: Scotty is always wearing a black armband on his left rist with a sign on it which resembles the true meaning of pokemon, His hair is dark brown with blonde and white tips in it, He wears a white and blue T-Shirt and over that he wears a white sweater with two black stripes on either side, He also wears green and white trousers with some sporty White trainers.

Personality: Scotty is always full of confidence and cares for his pokemon deeply, If he's not around his freinds he'll be training or spending time with his pokemon who he thinks the world of, He can get very competative and likes to battle it out with the best.

History: Scotty always liked growing up in Mauville city, whilst he grew up there he learned a lot from the gym leader there Wattson a master of electric type pokemon, Wattson was the person who gave scotty his first pokemon a Scyther which had never been used up until it was placed in the hands of scotty, He also loves to explore new places and catch new pokemon for his never-ending adventures.

Personality: Scizor has a great scence of balance and can scence when and where it should lead too, It will always obey its commands given by much appreciated trainer Scotty and will most definately go through almost anything to accomplish its tasks, It also thinks strategy wise and uses its speed to conquer its opponents.

History: Scizor was Scottys first ever pokemon and still is Scotty's best and has worked hard over the years, Scotty treats Scizor with great respect and appreciates what Scizor has ever done for him, So Scotty and Scizor will have even more journeys to come.

Other Information: Never in pokeball has always stood aside Scotty from the start.

History: He was met as a Shiny Growlithe who was stuck up a tree after being chased by a pack of Persian, He had a hurt leg so Scotty rushed him to the pokemon centre and both of them decided they should travel together.

History: Grew up from a small energetic Luxio, Scotty met him just after a rivalry battle he had just won, As his rival was about to catch the Luxio it clenched to Scotty's leg pleading for him to catch the little Luxio instead, So he fought off his rival and then caught Luxio, and after time it got very strong and evolved into a very powerful pokemon.

Relation to Giratina/Giratina's Problem: She has a strong connection to Dragon pokemon, and half her pokemon felt Girantina when the incedent happened, therefore she plans on doing something about it.

Personality: She is very caring, but usually has an up beat attitude, and always looks forward. Even in the face of danger she has a good attitude. she is not a princess, close to a tomboy, but not quite. She seems like she doesn't take anything seriously, but thats far the opposite. Her pokemon days started when she hatched Ashe, her Charmeleon out of her egg. Ever since then, she's been into pokemon. Other than that, she enjoys music alot. Having a minor incident that changed the color of all her pokemon only made her more happy to own them.

History: Her father was a retired scientist, and due to an accident in the lab, turned all of Rikku's pokemon a different color permanently. This didn't bother her though, she only loved them more. Traveling around all the time, its said she lives everywhere, yet nowhere at the same time. She rarely returns home, always wanting to explore, but does, as what she says, 'takes a holiday'. she's interested in music and techincal engineering. There isn't anything she can't fix. She reconfigured her own PokeTech so she could listen to music with ear phones on it all by herself.

Personality: Stubborn, strong willed, protective, loyal, trustworthy, very respectful, but will not tolerate mistreated people or pokemon. She, like Rikku, and much of her other pokemon enjoy music. She can easily take down a water pokemon like a hot knofe through butter. Do not underestimate her, or you'll regret it. It is at anytime she will evolve into a Charizard, but she knows the time will come.
History: Being Rikku's first pokemon, and best friend, she has much potential, and strength, even against water pokemon. When she is sent out against a water pokemon, over confidence usually takes over her opponent, and she comes out the victor everytime.

History: Found as a Dratini after a year of Pokemon school, she was harrased by a group of Gyrados, which with the help of Aura and Ashe in a double battle, were beaten in a fast paced fight.

Personality: Auri has a positive attitude and always looks on the bright side of things, no metter how bleak they look. She often tries too hard, or more than needed, but she is a loveable pokemon and is very friendly towards others. When she gets angry, her determination flares and rises above any other trait of hers.
History: Auri was found while trying to teach Aura to Surf. Auri hazily bumped into Rikku while flying. They became fast friends and it was Auri's idea to join Rikku. She had become the star of Contests when Rikku participates in them. She proved herself battle wise when a sore loser of a trainer challenged the two of them to a battle. Auri came out on top after getting an extrenely insulting comment that Auri was a 'pretty bird' and nothing more.

Personality: Bandit is very stubborn and doesn't seem to really care about anything that doesn't concern him. He's deadly fast, and always acts like the tough one of the group. Underneath all that, he really does care for others. Everytime music is played, it seems like he's blocking it out by sleeping, but he's really listening to it.
History: He was a trouble maker along with Dialgo, as a theiving duo who tried to steal valuable items from Rikku, but thanks to Auri, got caught and fought back for. After crossing paths again later, Bandit and Dialgo were being beaten upon by an angry trainer. Rikku welcomed them into there team after defeating the abusive trainer earlier on.

Personality: Tearess is opinionated, and likes to relax. Besides that, she loves to dance, and encorporate dance into her fighting style, often frustrating her opponents with complex movements and attacks. She always practices something, often seen as a bad habit.
History: Found stuck under a rock as a Trapinch, and has a very grateful attitude toward Rikku. She trains with Ashe alot to improve her fire type attacks and see's Ashe as master of them. She doesn't get along with Dialgo all that well, but they're co=operative combatants in a double battle.

Personality: Dialgo is much like Bandit, except for his temper. Even though it drives his strength, it leaves error for lashing out accidently towards others. He has some care for others, but sometimes likes to show off and over estimate himself.
History: After joining Rikku, Dialgo received his name, only one letter change from Dialga. After awhile, a bunch of trainers came after Dialgo, wanting what he had stolen in the past back. These just turned out to be revengeful people who wanted to punish Dialgo. After a some odd good amount of battles, he evolved a week later into a Garchomp.

Other Information: All of Rikku's pokemon wear bandana's because they often explore without the watch over their trainer. This is to know that they already belong to someone, and they don't get accidentally stolen. Ashe always stay out of her pokeball, unless she's totally worn out from a battle.

Personality: Immelia is a very talkative youth, though somewhat pessimistic. Despite the way she dresses, she doesn't mind getting a bit dirty (such as, even when she's wearing her dress, she would love to jump into a lake). She's more of a Pokemon person, being less shy around them and telling her most precious secrets to them. In fact, she has many, many, MANY Pokemon, which show how her love of Pokemon have grown since her childhood.
History: Immelia Verde was born and raised in Snowpoint City. Because of how cold it was, she decided that her starter Pokemon was to be a fire type. A Charmander, to be exact. So, when her tenth birthday finally came, she picked a Charmander at the lab and named him a quite ironic name; Bubble. Ever since then, Immelia had been travelling with her ever growing starter, training, catching many different kinds of Pokemon. Her dream career was always to be a Pokemon Proffessor.

Personality: Bubble is annoyed quite easily, especially when it comes to his name. He has a short temper, and the flames upon his tail have flared up so much that they have turned a blue color, and are much hotter than they should be. The only living beings that he wouldn't get extremely angry at would be any Legendary who leaves humans (and him) alone, Immelia's Rattata Nibbler, and Immelia herself.
History: Bubble was once a nice little Charmander, always optimistic and peppy.. right until Immy named him. People and Pokemon taunted him because of his name. Bubble never blame Immelia; she was a child then, and a cute Pokemon needed a cute name, right? No, he blamed everyone else, which is why he never really gets along with anybody.

Personality: Ginger (along with Emmy) is unusually calm, and can be quite clueless. She can sometimes think too much, which can put her in a slight distressive state, though she can get a hold on herself a little bit later. Also, both her and Emmy love the television, and they can be quite mesmerized by it.
History: Both Ginger and Emmy were found together in the blizzard south of Snowpoint by Immelia Verde and Bubble. The twins were being attacked by an Abomasnow and a couple of Snover, due to the two sisters being a little bit too talkative and annoying the wild Pokemon. Bubble had released a jet of flames at the wild tree-like Pokemon, and when they had made their leave, Immelia had offered the Froslass Sisters a place in her team. They accepted, promising themselves not to be so talkative again.

Personality: Que is excited easily, clever, bookish, and slightly vain. He is also a mischievious little guy, playing petty pranks on both Ginger and Emmy most of the time. He wouldn't dare play a prank on Bubble, who would make him melt in a heartbeat.. and not in the good way.
History: Que was Immelia's second Pokemon. Before he met the youth, Que lived in a garden behind a huge mansion as a shiny Eevee. The man who owned the mansion extremely creeped Que out, so Que escaped, though barely due to some trouble with some Castform. As he ran through the bush, he tumbled into an old man's leg. The old man, though surprised by the furry creature, liked the Eevee. He kindly caught Que, bringing him home and giving the Eevee to his daughter, Immelia. She was ecstatic, and quickly went out to train the Eevee. Soon Que had evolved into a Glaceon and one of the most loved Pokemon in the Verde family... though he can be somewhat irritating.

Classification: Tiny Turtle Pokemon

Age: 2 years
Nature: Jolly

Personality: A very happy Pokemon, indeed. Check loves making friends, hearing jokes, playing games with others, and is overall a very sociable Pokemon. She loves sweets, fluffy things, and pink... which is why she has dyed anything fluffy on her pink to make it look like cotton candy.
History: Check was once owned as a Squirtle by a maniacal Team Aqua member, who treated her like trash. Usually she didn't do anything, however, because she refused. Eventually he abandoned her and was adopted and trained by Immelia, who let her do whatever she want, and then evolved. Due to this dramatic change, Check became overwhelmed with happiness and now has a permanent smile stuck on her face.

Classification: Rat Pokemon

Age: 1 month
Nature: Bashful
Ability: Run Away

Personality: Nibbler is a shy little Rattata who hates close contact with anyone besides Immeh. He considers her his mom, because she was there when he was born. Nibbler is also okay with Bubble, though he hates it when Bubble blows out fire. Nibbler also likes to gnaw on things, mostly his little plush Buneary that Immelia had given him.
History: When Nibbler was born, he was surrounded by large Pokemon. The Pokemon had scared him, so he ran to the safest looking place possible; Immelia's jean jacket. He never left the jacket for most of the day until Immy said that it was okay for him to come out. He only came out for a second, for when he saw Bubble, he jumped right back in. Large Pokemon still scare him to this very day, besides Bubble.
Other Information: Is afraid of his Pokeball, therefore stays out of it.

Relation to Giratina/Giratina's Problem: Has actually visited Giratina... Bonded with it, and has a strange (and rather odd) connection with Ghost Pokemon...

Personality: Very cold, and witty... When she wants to be.

History: Drift is not known by many... Except those that she helps. Noone even knows her real name. They call her 'Drift', as she drifts in and out of scenery. She was born in Snowpoint city, hence her rather cold and silent personality... As a child, she bonded with her first Pokemon ever - Seishin, an Absol, who was a gift from her Grandfather. Later, at the age of 14, while traveling the Sinnoh region, she came across a hurt Riolu, guarded by an evil organization grunt. She defeated the grunt in battle, and saved the young Riolu, whom she named Kouken. A day later, it evolved into Lucario. At the age of 15, she came to TurnBack Cave, where she met and bonded with Giratina. She's always had uncanny connection with Ghost Pokemon since birth. At 16, she challenged the Elite 4 of Sinnoh with her trusty 2 Pokemon alone and won. Offered the slot to stay at the League and be Champion, she refused and said that she had to help others in need. Even though she helps others, she does it unannounced and rather quickly. Sources say she rides in on her Absol and helps in matters of seconds, looks at the victim and nods her head as if to say 'The job is done - it's okay now', hops back onto her Absol with Lucario alongside, and rides off.

Ability: Pressure
History: Seishin's history is mostly unknown. All that is known that he is 85 years of age (accroding to Drift's Grandfather, and confirmed by the group translator, Lucario.) Seishin was born looking like normal Absols, but age has affects on him, and he soon turned gray. He was in a great battle, Kouken has said. The battle apparently was the battle of the Ghosts, as Seishin (through Kouken) describes it... This has yet to be understood...
Personality: Rather silent and cold. Sometimes lets out the signature Absol cry, but mostly stares dreamily at the stars and sky. Sometimes, when Drift, Kouken, and Seishin are all sitting at their camp around the fire, Seishin's eyes will glow white, and he will just stare into the sky. This worries Drift, and she reaches into her medicines pocket in her bag. But Kouken stops her, telling her that this is simply Absol using his Psychic abilities to view his past (to put it simply) like a film.

Age: Unkown (young in age, clearly not as old as Seishin) Owned for 2 years.
Ability: Steadfast
History: Kouken was clearly born like no other Riolu. Having the colors of a Panda, he was always on the run from evil organization grunts and poachers, wanting him for research or his hide. One day, a grunt caught him and tried to shock him with a mind controlled Raichu. Just then, Drift came into the picture, and used Seishin in battle agaisnt the evil Raichu. Drift and Seishin were victorious. While the Raichu and grunt ran off, Drift picked up the Riolu in her arms and healed it. Ever since then, Kouken and Drift have never been apart.
Personality: Kouken is pretty quiet, but rather spontaneous and quirky. He has the abilities of Alakazam and Ralts combined - He can read the thoughts of humans and Pokemon, and he can sense the exact feelings of a living being. He also speaks human speech, and usually stays up looking at the stars with Drift, telling stories and talking about random things. He teases Seishin often, but Seishin shuts him up with a quick swipe with his 'horn.' This makes the (sort of) silly Kouken back off... for awhile, that is.
