What are the best moves to use for Swampert when battling the Elite Four? My Swampert knows these moves:

Surf - 24/24
Strength - 24/24
Earthquake - 16/16
Endeavor - 5/5

My Swampert is level 74.
Its HP is 256/256.

They look fine to me. My guide says its best to have Water and Ground on your team, so having surf and earthquake is good. Also if the rest of you team is around the same LV as your Swampert and you have lotsa recovery items with you, I'd have to say go for the E4 now! The champs highest poke is at LV 58 so you'd have almost no probs beating him.

I think there is no such thing as the best move set. Its all IYO, what are your other Pokemon like? If you have to many of the same moves jest as the same type Pokemon your not going to do so well (like having 4 Pokemon with Bite when 2 is really as many as you need). It also depends on what type of strategy you use, "do mean thing to your opponent-confuse/sleep/poison" or "Pump your self-swords dance/focus energy/endure" or (like me) "Beat the pants off em!-earthquake/crunch/fire blast". The only real thing I can say is I'd like my Swampert to know at LV100: surf, earthquake, muddy water, take down (my usual, "only use HMs").

Dont have strength if you can help it.
If there is a better Basic/Power move thats like strength, such as double-edge, then teach him that over strength.

the only good travelling move (or HM) to have in your party is surf, but exeptions can be made for fly.
