Shiney's are just normal Pokemon but they're different colours than usual.
When you send them out in battle they sort of sparkle.

I don't think they are any stronger than a non-shiney of the same species, but somewhere I heard that they are slightly stronger......are they?

Yeah, so they're basically really rare versions of your normal Pokemon.
I think there's even a chance of getting shiney starters and legendaries.

I want a shiney Sableye...........

Oh, and they're located anywhere that the other normal species is found. So Its all up to chance really.
I haven't seen a single shiney on Ruby/Sapphire/FireRed/LeafGreen but I have seen many on Silver/Gold, NOT including red Gyarados, that is NOT a REAL shiney

Well I'll give you an example.
If you were looking for a shiney Sableye, you would look anywhere Sableye is located, like granite cave, Sky pillar, or Victory road (Sapphire only!). But Shineys are VERY rare, I repeat, VERY!

How did you get your Blaziken picture small enough to put as your avatar?
I tryed to put a Sableye as my avatar but it says its too big.
Did you edit it somehow, or get it off another site other than PE2K?

oh, ermm you just go on google and the click images and then type in say sableeye pokemon and a series of pictures come up of sableeyes, some might not be him so look closly!! lolz, ermm just luk at the bottom of the pic and it will tell you how small it is for e.g. 100x100 pixels, that the maximum you can have!!! hope i helped!!!! :biggrin: :biggrin:

shineys are so rare that there is one in 20 millionth chance of encountering one! I wouldnt think twice if i used my masterball on one!

My advice to you, Jaffa, is to NOT look for them.
If your ARE looking for a shiney theres probably a less chance of it appearing.
Just continue with the game and forget about the shineys, and if one just appears in the grass when your traveling, well, your in luck!

I'd never use my masterball on a shiney. I'd save mine for Latias/Latios.
On previous Sapphire files I used my masterball on Kyogre, NOT a good idea!

When you encounter a shiney just try to catch it like you would any other wild Pokemon, it's not like they'll flee or anything.

Heres how to get a shiny e-z! Save before you battle a legendary Pokemon like Rayquaza, then battle him. If he's green not black, turn your game off and try again. Also do that same thing for the person that gives you a Pokemon or one you trade for.

well believe it or not i just got a shiney machop on FR (its silver!). But i didnt use my masterball! i couldnt bilevi it when i saw it! lol :cool:
