What the heck is a read recept?!?

I assume it's just something to let the sender know if the person they sent it to has read it yet.

It's for sending a message along with a receipt, so that when the person reads it, the person can decide to send back the receipt letting you know he/she read the message. You can decide to not to send a receipt by clicking cancel when that comes up (the message will still send). Lisewise, if you send a receipt, the person may decline to send back a receipt when he/she read it.

In your User CP, and then Track Messages, that's where you can see what messages are confirmed with a receipt and what messages aren't confirmed with a receipt.

I changed the settings now though, you still would have to click whether you want to know if the person read the private message or not by using the receipt (could be very useful), but now, the reader automatically sends back the receipt so you know that the person you sent it to has read it. I figured it's a pretty pointless feature if the person you send it to can cancel to send the receipt. And you won't know if the person read it or just canceled it (if you know they canceled it, then you would know they read it, lol).

It's just one more click, I don't think it's that much of a trouble.

I think its pretty pointless to especialy if you have the "Alert me when i got a PM" thing on. BTW Thanks :biggrin:
