I got a 3.4. Alot of people don't expect me to get good grades, since I always where a hoodie and get into trouble. But I'm not, I get good grades.

I'm currently in Year 7, and moving up into Year 8 in September, but my average scores for most tests are anything between 5.5 and 7.0.

Ever think of hanging out with a different crowd:ermm:

I get anywhere from a 3.7 to 4.0 in the grading periods, but I usually end up with a high 3.9 at the end.

Lol, stereotypes. <_< Just saying.I hate stereotypes, I don't hang out ith the wrong people, we know how to get good grades, but know how not to be a nerd about it. Esspicially my Social Studies teacher saying "We need Ditch Diggers in this world" to me and a few of my friends, basicly saying will amount to nothing, well on the last day of school we showed him our GPA's. I think he almost fell out of his chair. >_>

I don't suppose you live in Pittsburgh do you? Because there was a very similar situation with a few guys in my grade with our Social Studies/Geography/History teacher.

wow someone saved this

well a 4.0 is a form of gpa(grade point average) when you get all A's, like me, your report card says what you got in all your classes, then at the bottom it says 4.0, 3.8, 2.7 and so on

if you have a.p (advanced placement) classes your gpa can be higher then 4.0

Sixto

When I graduated high school it was about 3.8. After I finished college, it was about 3.5ish.

A LOT of what you get in your class grades depends on who is teaching the class. I honestly think I'm better than a 3.1, but then again, I've had plenty of college professors that were outright awful and couldn't teach a fair class if their life depended on it. If I were to cross out all of the grades I got from professors that were near-fascists, I'd probably have a 3.5 or 3.6. All it takes is one or two D's and your GPA plummets.

Also... your major is important too. I could have just cruised by with a major in Communications, but I challenged myself to major in Business instead... and even dual major it later on instead of blowing all of those extra credits on easy electives that could have easily been GPA growth food.

So honestly... GPA does matter, but only in a supplemental sense.

You know, I'm still contemplating on how there is potential that I could have had a much easier time going into med school given that I took an easier program. Then again, Honours in med gen/microbio has a good ring to it.

Transferring to a Uni soon myself, I can only hope I'm prepared, I'd go out of my mind if my GPA dropped.

@ Neo; yea I loved math until I got a certain teacher... we'll just say the class cheered when we got to do class evaluations at the end of the term.

BTW that grade destroyed my GPA, it's insane how hard you have to work to get it back in the same range.

No kidding.

I flunked a math class last year, so now my GPA is... a 3.1 or something? It's ridiculous how much one class can kill your GPA. Fortunately, it convinced me to change my major, which was something I probably was not smart enough for anyway.

Hmmm... On my report card, it says that my GPA is 75 - then again, I live in New Zealand, and I'm pretty sure that it's out of 100 (A percentage, I think) so it actually isn't that good. This is mainly because I didn't work too hard last year, so my New year's resolution is to study harder.

PS: Oh, and on that note, It might be a bit late to say so, but HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

My GPA is, and has always been, a 4.0. Not trying to brag or anything, I'm just blessed with super-intellect. Once though, in 3rd grade, I got a B. I was really ticked off, but it's funny lokking back on it. Fear my brain!
