All right, now as I was saying... let the Roleplay BEGIN!

-------------------

The bright light streamed through the new hole in the tent, skating across the boy's eyes, which was weird, because this tent was pretty strong. The only thing that could rip Cole Reiken's tent would be if something picked it up with something heavy inside. He opened up the flap in the front of the tent to find the reason why, and got his answer. Somebody had gotten annoyed with the fact that he wasn't first in line, and had picked up his tent and moved about halfway down. Now, about a hundred people were in front of him. And what could possibly have a line of about two hundred people? The launch of possibly the greatest game in history. Real Fiction. The video game that would revolutionize gaming as everyone knew it. And no one would ever know Cole's part in it. A shame really. But, he would have enough fame on his hands once he became the greatest video game designer ever. So, Cole folded up his tent, reached into his large hiking backpack, and pulled out a folding chair on wheels. Next came a bowl, a box of cereal, and some milk from a cooler. Cole was perfectly prepared. after, all, he had been camping out there since Friday, and it was Memorial Day Monday now. So, it was a matter of "camp out all weekend, get the game, play legitimately for one day, and then convince Mom to let him drop out of school. Or just go to school and play it afterwards. Either one would work.

OOC: Shweet, the startness! But shouldn't this be in the Other Roleplay section? =O

IC:

Misaki yawned as she rubbed her left eye, tapping her foot continously as she waited in line. A small, cat-like smile was planted on her lips, knowing she didn't have to wait in line for too long. She just needed to wait for someone to pass by.

"And now... the cutest, most awesomest thief in the universe, the Neko Thief, Misaki Abaruke! Everyone watch as she demonstrates her awesome thievery skills!"

She sighed, knowing the store was closed, so she wouldn't be able to demonstrate said skills. She happily tapped her foot anyways, wondering how many times in a row would this be a successful steal.

"Hmm... twenty seven... nice... I am so awesome..."

She let out a quick "Nya", acting as if she had cat ears and she was scratching them with her paw, causing a few people behind her to stare.

---

Ryoichi wasn't too far behind Misaki, at least five or six people were between him and her. He already knew what she was planning on doing, which is why he kept his little friend with him. The black cat flicked her tail back and forth on top of a nearby ledge, letting out a cute "Nya" before hitting a flower pot with her tail, causing said pot to fall on someone's head.

"Can't you wait Rina? You'll be able to do all you want soon..."

"Nya!"

He rolled his eyes, tapping his foot tiredly. He had been there for quite some time, but, his sister needed constant protection, so he really had no other choice. He looked over the people infront of him, watching as Misaki did her usual "let-out-a-nya-then-scratch-your-ear" thing, meaning she was all set.

"Well... she's gonna do it alright... if only the damm doors opened already... you ready Rina?"

"Nya, nya!"

I opened my eyes in a dark room with a light blanket draped over me. I sighed and lazily got out of bed. Stepping over to the window, I moved the blanket that didn't let any light into my room and looked outside onto the street. It looked like a mob outside. The line up was immense as I scanned through it to find my uncle. He had been waiting out there in that line for three days to get this new game that he had been going on about for weeks on end. I put the blanket down and pulled a t-shirt on. I decided to go and wait in line with him, as I had nothing better to do anyway. I was just about to go out the door when I stopped, looking at my jacket. It was who knew how hot outside, but then again, my arm would make it worse than need be. I grabbed it off my chair, put it on along with a grey glove over my hand and took the nearest stairwell out of the apartment.

This craze over a game...its ridiculous. I thought. Well, it isn't stopping my uncle from getting it.

As I tried to make my way to my uncle, may people protested me moving forward ahead of everyone else. I ignored them, as I knew I wasn't cutting in line. After about ten minutes of looking, I found him trying eagerly to look over peoples heads to the front of the line. I stopped next to him, him in too much excitement to really be surprised I was there.

"I thought you were going to stay at home?" He asked. "Well, you changed your mind I guess."

I didn't answer, because I didn't need to. He soon started rambling quietly to himself of how 'hyped up' he'd been for this game, and a long list of the great advantages and techonogical breakthroughs and ecetera. I really didn't pay much attention to what he was saying. I heard it too many times I could recite it off the top of my head. I was too busy thinking of other things, as I always did.

OOC: Woops. I'll get a mod to move it. One thing though, to both of you, this is all happening in the same place. Real Fiction is only being sold at one new store in this one city, which has yet to be named. It's somewhere in America though, I can tell you that. Anyway, Gaby, a few more things.
1.The doors have yet to open.
2. Everyone has to get the game themself inside the store, for their own. I'll explain when I can.
3. A side note meant for all, one post in line each, then I'l get the doors open, excluding Poring, you get free reing over what you're initial post is. After that, the doors shall open and I'll elaborate a little more on certain stuff.
4. I'm not so big on a magical cat. An adorable little cat who happens to b very smart and also fairly lucky? Sure, why not? A cat capable of telepathy and conciously causing bad luck? No, don't think so. Sorry.

Nicholas Howre leaned against the wall, stretching and opening his eyes. He had never really fallen asleep- a side effect of the thirteen cups of coffee he had consumed last night. Perhaps this was lucky, because he noticed that several unconscious people in advantageous positions in line had been moved backwards. As it was, he was only third or fourth in line. Maybe it was worth it. He had been forced to arrive at seven o'clock at night last night in order to snag this place, and he had barely gotten there before a large group of other fans had shown up and gotten in line. Had he shown up five minutes later, he would have been twenty-sixth in line. He had counted- there wasn't much to do other than count while he waited.

He glanced at his watch- a new calculator watch. It informed him in clear, digital block numbers that opening time was approaching. Finally, he thought impatiently. Putting a hand in his pocket, he checked that his wallet was still there. It wouldn't do to lose it so close to achieving his goal.

OOC: All right, it's time to start... If I got something wrong about how the game is supposed to be set up or something, just tell me.

Locke was lying on his bed, wide awake. One last day of rest, he thought, and then I go back to school... He let out an audible sigh. Since Celes left for college, he didn't have anyone to talk to. While he was thinking about this, his door opened. "Locke! Wake up!" his father called. "I'm already awake," he said. Locke quickly got out of bed and asked him, "What is it? Shouldn't you and Mom be at work?" "Well, yes, we were about to leave," he answered, "But your mother and I been thinking. We know you've been sad since Celes left, and your grades were really good this day, so-" "So what?" Locke interrupted. "So we got you a little gift," his mother said, walking into the room. Oh, great. Another video game. "At work last week, our boss told us about a new online game that was being released today," his father said, "Kids all over the world have been anticipating it for years. People have probably been waiting in line for days!" I'm glad I'm not one of them, Locke thought to himself. "Our boss gave us a free copy of the game as a gift. You should be able to play it later today, since this was its release date," his mother said. Before they could explain anything more to him, his father told him they had to leave for work. "You're a smart kid, Locke. You can figure this out on your own." They gave him the box with the game in it, and left. "Bye Mom, bye Dad..." Locke said.

His parents left, and Locke closed his bedroom door. Another big waste of time, he thought, That's all this is. Out of boredom, he picked up the box on the floor. The title of the game was in large, fancy gold letters. He read it: Real Fiction.

My uncle rumaged through a cooler that he was living off of for the past few days. He had to go back to the store sometimes, so I would be called down to save his spot, or if he ran out of money, either ask for me to bring him some, or our own food from the fridge. He pulled out a water bottle.

"You want anything?"

I looked at him. "...Water and a Pepsi."

He threw me a water bottle, which almost slipped out of my hand from being doused in ice water, then the pepsi after. He shoved the cooler over and sat in his camp chair which an umbrella clipped to the back of it to hide from the blistering heat. I sat on the cooler, pouring water into my hand. Quickly, I put my hand on my head and ran whatever water reached it through my lair. It was really the only way I could prevent from overheating myself. I twisted the cap off the pop bottle and took only small sips of it. This was only to keep me awake until the doors would actually open.

If this takes any longer I'm going back to the apartment. I thought to myself.

Linzee leaned against the building, her eyes shutting every few moments before she snapped them open again. She hadn't slept the night before, but she had still gotten a place in the middle of the line. And this line wasn't just any line, it was the huge line waiting to get Real Fiction, the newest game, the game.

Linzee reached up and ran a hand through her hair, pushing her bangs out of her face absently. She didn't function well on lack of sleep after a while, and she hadn't slept good for over two weeks. She couldn't quite say why she wasn't sleeping like she used to, but she wasn't. And it was starting to seriously effect her.

But finally Real Fiction was coming out. She had been waiting forever, it seemed. She had read every article she could find on it multiple times, and she supposed she probably knew more about it than some of the people in this line. Not that she was bragging or anything, she just assumed it as a fact.

She sighed, and waited for the line to start moving.

"Oh Chester!! Isn't this so awesome!?" Max asked his dog Chester, which his Aunt had let come along to wait for the new video game Real Fiction to come out.
Max was replied by a cheerful "Yip!" from Chester.

Max had been in the line for about 4-5 days now. He was surprised his Aunt had let him. But she did know how much he wanted this game. He had been obsessing over it for months. He even tried hacking into the game mainframe but couldn't cause it had a firewall he couldn't get through.

Now the time was finally here. The time for the game. The release date. The time he had been waiting for was finally here and he couldn't wait another second.
"Come on. Come on. Move line, move" He said quietly to himself.
Chester had abandoned him to get some sleep in the tent. They had been up all night.

The line seemed longer than was imaginable. Anna couldn't believe there were that many people obsessed with Real Fiction. Granted, she was too, ever since she first heard about it...

A virtual reality game that actually put you in to a fantasy world like Runescape. You could do anything you wanted, customize your character however... The choices were endless. Anna was itching to get it, to download everything and finally play, after all these years...

To be truthful, she'd been there since midnight. Not as long as some people, but she was still happy with her spot. Fifteenth or so wasn't that long of a wait. The remains of a breakfast sandwich and hot tea were shoved roughly into a bag she kept in one hand, while she balanced a lengthy hardback in the other. It was a new book she'd borrowed from the library, called The Alchemyst. Good so far, but she almost couldn't stand to read it, she was getting so excited... Only a while longer and she would finally get her hands on Real Fiction. Even better, she had all day to play it.

Misaki glanced up, seeing a familiar black cat waving her tail back and forth. Misaki smiled at said cat, wanting to pick it up right now and pet it, yet, the cat was too high up to get. She looked over some people's heads, feeling happy she wasn't too far from the door anyways. Twenty, maybe twenty-second spot, at least she wasn't as unlucky as a few others. She let out a happy yawn, looking back at where the cat was. It was gone now. She went back to looking infront of her, eagerly tapping her foot.

"Come on... why can't you open already?"

She yawned, closing her eyes for a second, almost falling asleep. She quickly woke up, however, yawning yet again. She had totally forgotten she hadn't gotten any sleep. This would be the perfect time to have someone watch her spot for her. Yet, she didn't have anyone to do so. A slight memory of her brother went through her head, yet it was quickly shaken off with her usual, peppy smile.

"Guess I should have brought my tent..."

---

Ryoichi looked up at the ledge, watching Rina walk back towards him and jump down, landing on his shoulder. She purred as she rubbed her head against his head, letting out another "Nya".

"So... how's she doing Rina?"

Rina simply nodded and let out a purr, meaning that she was fine. Rina was a very smart cat, trained to give out certain signs depending on what she was asked. For example, if Ryoichi asked if someone was fine or something, if she purred, it would mean they're fine. If she let out a quiet "Nya", it meant they weren't.

"Good... now... we wait... how long 'till the store opens..."

Ryoichi checked his clock, about forty-five more minutes 'till the pushing began.

"Rina... suggestion... when the alarm sounds... jump back to the led-"

Before he could finish, Rina was already on the ledge, flicking her tail back and forth and sticking her tung out mockingly.

"Oh thanks a lot Rina!"

"Nya, nya, nya nya nya!"

Cole sat in his chair, waiting patiently for the lione to move again, when he remembered that his sister had been in line right behind him. That wasn't good. She was probably all the way back at the end of the line. Oh well. He would get the game first, but then haveto wait for her to finish up. Then he heard a *ding-ding* from the PA, followed by "Attention shoppers. The store is now opening. I realize that you are probably all excited..." The line quickly turned into a crowd, and then a mob bashing at the doors. "but the store is heavily guarded..." back into a crowd "and if you do not enter in an orderly fashion you will be forcibly escorted off of the premises." And back into a neat line. They were taking all precautions. Well, at least the line was moving quicly. In about five minutes the line had already dwindled down to about 50 from a hundred in front of Cole, and from 250 to 200 in total. Then Cole noticed something very interesting. A girl, with light brown hair dressed all in blue.
"Why that little..."

------------

Amelia hadn't been sent back down the line with Cole. Quite to the contrary, she had gotten up early and gotten everyone in line to pull his tent behind them until one nice old couple decided not to do it. He looked enough like the annoying little brat that it was a sweet enough victory. Really she was just sore that Nate got RF as a present while she had to get it herself. She would have been fine with it had it not been for the fact that she had been charged to get the game for him as well as for her, instead of him staying out there with her all weekend long. "To keep it a surprise" they said. Bleh. Nate knew full well that he was getting RF. In any case, now that the deed was done and she stood out in the very front of the line, it was a little annoying now because she would have to wait some more after the game was hers, since Cole would have to accompany her home. Stupid parents with their stupid paranoia of kdinappers. In any case, the doors opened, and Amelia's mouth dropped. She had known this was a store devoted to RF (the name of the store was Fictional Reality for crying out loud), but she had no idea. Not only was there the game, the console, the controller, and the free pie you apparently get just for buying the game, but there was also RF merchandise, coffe mugs, clothes, hats, toys. And it was more than a store. There was also an internet cafe to play the original version, with almost as good graphics and without the VR, released last year as a beta for the game, there was a small food court, an athletics center with which to excercise your body to give yourself an in-game boost, tactics manuals, even kung fu lessons so you could just punch your way through the game. It was incredible. She quickly grabbed a two copies of the game off of the tall pile on which they were stacked and ran up to the counter before some guy could steal them from her. She put the games on the counter, the clerk swiped them, congratulated her, she took the game, grabbed her slice of pie, and ran out of the store. She was stopped, however, by a tall burly man with glasses. Oh great, theft. No, that wasn't it. The man just showed her a form that she had to fill out. All it was was her name, age (you had to be at least 11 to play the game) E-Mail address (for your username and also to verify that you have the game and that it hadn't been stolen), address (so that if the game was stolen it could be replaced) and also a liability form. No idea what that was for, she had read that the game was completely and totally safe. The final step was to register the game to her E-Mail address so that if the game was stolen it would be deactivated so that it couldn't possibly work. Well, with that out of the way Amelia left the store and went to go sit on a bench really far away form the store (again, theft) to eat her pie.

OOC: *holds back Misaki from killing Eeveeking*

Misaki: WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT CAN'T BE STOLEN?! YOU LOUSY- *mouth gets covered up*

IC:

Misaki's eyes flung open when she heard the PA. As the line started to move, she squealed happily. She had completely forgotten her original plan to steal one, she needed to be fair at least this once, right? As the line moved closer and closer to the door, she practically squealed, overjoyed. When she came in, however, she came in as calm as when she was going to steal something. Then, she glanced at the racks and quickly grabbed one of the games, walking up towards the counter. When it was her turn, she handed the clerk the game. He swiped them. He congratulated him. She got her game. She grabbed her slice of pie. She ran towards the door like a maniac. Yet, she was stopped however, as a tall, burly man wearing glasses stood infront of her. She held onto her game for dear life, yet all she got was a paper. She needed to write her name, age, e-mail address, home address and a liability form. She grabbed a pen from her bag, quickly writing up everything.

"Name... Misaki Abaruke... age... fifteen... e-mail..."

After finally writing it all, she handed the paper to the man, smiling at him. In her mind, however, she went on and on how she wanted him to hurry up already. After all of that was out of the way, she bowed her head politely, walking out the store as calmly as when she came in. She took a deep breath, looking up at the sky before yelling at the top of her lungs.

"Endless days in home, here I come!"

She ran, full speed, towards her house, laughing happily, sometimes skipping instead of running.

---

Ryoichi sweatdropped as he saw his sister run as fast as she could towards her home. Coincidentally, the line had moved enough for him to come in. He simply yawned, walking in calmly. He really didn't make a fuss about it, quickly grabbing one of the games, walking towards the counter and handing the game to the clerk. He swiped it, congratulated him the same way as Misaki and handed him the game. He grabbed it, bowing his head in thanks, yet getting pushed by an eager kid. He rolled his eyes, walking towards the door without grabbing his pie. (>=O Evil!) He was stopped by the same man as Misaki, handing him a paper, just like Misaki's. He simply signed everything, yawning lazily as he walked out. He whistled, not too long later did Rina come running towards him, jumping on his shoulder.

"Well Rina... shall we?"

"Ny-a!"

He scratched Rina's ears, starting his walk towards his home. He took his usual shortcut. He looked as calm as ever, once again letting out a yawn, unlike most people who were squealing and yelling like maniacs. He passed by a girl sitting on a bench (that's you Eeveeking) and glanced at her. She looked calm, which made him smile a bit, while Rina just nodded at her, letting out a cute "Nya". At least SOMEONE other than him was still sane. He went back to looking infront of him, continuing his twenty minute walk home.

"If I know Misaki... she'll be addicted to that game for a long time..."

OOC: xD at the pie thing. I apologize if it wasn't meant to be funny, but it just sounded so random. This little blurb I'm going to write right now is going to be before the doors open, because I'm afraid I'll get some gameplay element wrong. Sorry if I'm not allowed things in the past, if I'm not, I'll just edit it.

Hmm... Just realized I won't be able to interact with everyone else's characters until Locke goes out to Fictional Reality, or he somehow meets one of them in-game...

--------------------

For a long time, Locke just sat around in his room. He occasionally looked at the box and the words on it. It didn't really tell him much, except that there was a game, console, and controller included. He didn't open it, because he was still convinced it was a waste of time. To try to ease his boredom, he went outside and tried to play basketball, which just made him more bored. Finally, after a lot of pacing around the house and doing nothing, he decided he would try to play the game. But, before he attempted to open the large box, he found a little red note at the bottom: This is an advance copy of Real Fiction. It is not playable until released to the public. Locke went on the computer and looked up the time that it was released. He glanced at his clock, and found it was at least another 45 minutes. You've got to be kidding me, he thought. Locke sighed and resumed doing nothing.

Linzee felt excitment wipe away her tiredness as the line started moving into the store. Of course, she was fairly far back in the line, but...She'd get there soon enough. She couldn't wait to get her hands on that game! She started imaging it once more, as she had been doing for weeks already. She already knew she wouldn't be a goody two-shoes in the game, that wouldn't be fun. That left a couple options, thief or...murderer. Both she shuddered from, but hey, it wasn't really going to be her. It was just going to be a virtual person she made up. Yeah, that's it. And it would really be bad, or a sin, or anything, because even if you got killed you just got sent back to the starting point, she had heard. She shook the thoughts off as she hurried into the store as the line came up.

Unlike the others, after she had grabbed the game and bought it, been congratulated, and got her pie, she observed other people around the place. A huge group was gathered around the tactic manuels, which Linzee understood. She had thought to go there, too, before she went home, but realized that would be difficult now. It was just too crowded. The whole game would be crowded, even though it was a whole world. The towns would most likely be jam-packed. But maybe not, the world was supposed to be big, great, magical...Everything she could hope for, and, hopefully, more.

She started out the doors after a few minutes of looking about, only to be stopped by a big man. And I mean really big. Not fat-big, but I-can-kill-you big. However, Linzee wasn't all that scared by him, miraclously. He handed her a form, which she filled out rapidly. She nodded a good-bye and raced off, merely to get away from the man. Then, she moved the game to under her arm, and ate her pie while walking home. Though anticipation and impatientness gnawed at her stomach, she forced herself to walk so she wouldn't look like a madperson.

"Oh! The line is moving!!!..... We're almost there!!" Max said Excitedly to Chester.
When they got inside Max got squished by all the people and couldn't get to any of the games!
Chester saw that Max was stuck and ran under peoples legs, dodging shoes and big feet and grabbed a game. Then he made it back to Max.
Max grabbed the game from Chester and they both made their way to the counter.
Max handed the clerk the game and the money for it.
The cloak rang up the game, congratulated him, and then said, "Hey can I see your dog?"
"Chester?" Max asked as he put him on the counter.
The clerk started to pet him and said, "Yea. I saw him get that game for you. He's a smart dog" The clerk said.
"Yea. He's a good dog." Max said.
The clerk looked behind Max at all the waiting people.
"Oh! Well it seems like we are holding up the line. So congratulations and here you go" the clerk said as he handed Max his pie and Chester a dog bone.
As they were walking out they were stopped by a big muscular man. Chester whimpered at the sight of him.
He handed Max a form and told him to fill it out. Chester found a pen on the floor and gave it to Max.
Max sped through the form and soon they were on their way out. Max gave the pie to Chester because he was too excited to eat.

After the remainder of people in front of him were gone, Cole unfolded his chair and put it back in his giant tent bag. Then he went inside and grabbed a copy of the game. It really was a cool place. He would be sure to return. After he got all of his stuff checked out, the forms filled, the pie taken, Cole left the store and headed for where he and Amelia had promised to meet. When he got there, he found Amelia sitting on the bench munching on some pie. He slapped her upside the head.
"I know it was you who had me sent own the line." He said angrily.
"Yeah, and what of it?" Came her retort. Then came about ten minutes of lecturing, with pie afterwards. But the lecture didn't stop there, just went on the move. At the point where they were pretty much at home and almost finished with pie, Cole ended it with
"And to top it f, I didn't even get any good pie because it was all eaten already. I had to take a slice of Key Lime, and you know I hate Key Lime! Everyone hates Key Lime, but that's all that was left."
"Cole, the only kind of pie they had was Key Lime. Didn't you notice the green pie I was eating?"
"Well, yeah, but I figured it was probably just moldy lemon meringue."
"Ew, that's gross. Cole, why are you always so gross?"
"Because I know it annoys you."
"Oh. Well that makes sense." It went on like that for about ten minutes until the were home. Once they were inside they quickly ran downstairs to where the TV was and began to hook up all of the equipment. It was a good thing they had multi-AV connectors. Nate came down at that moment and screamed, then jumped down and grabbed his copy of the game. "Oh my gosh! You actually got me RF for my birthday?I'm so surprised!"
"Shut it big mouth." Was the reply from both Amelia and Cole. They smiled at each other, and then got back to work in assembly. Nate joined in, and finally, they were all set. Three comfy chairs bought the moment they had heard wind of the game and fine tuned by Nate for perfection. Built in alarm clock hooked up to a motor that would forcibly pull them out of the game at dinner time, massaging action so they wouldn't be sore when getting up, cup holders, the works. There was even a special pad on each one for the controller. Cole and the twins sat down in their respective chairs, and began the experience of a lifetime.

... ... ... ... ... Nothing happened. Then they realized that they still had to verify their E-Mail accounts.

*ten minutes later*

"Stupid slow internet connection." Cole said. He and the twins sat down in their respective chairs, and began the experience of a lifetime.

-----------

Cole stood on a metal pad in pitch darkness.facing a copy of himself. The first thought that came to mind was "cool." Then, a woman's voice came into his head, the same one from the movie theater. Synthesized most likely. It said "Hello, and welcome to Real Fiction. I'm going to help you through this proccess to make it go as smoothly as possible. First, please select your gender. Do you want to be this gender, or the opposite gender?" Well, a debatable idea, but no thank you. Probably censored anyway. "I'm going to stick to being a guy please." Good. Next, please select your race." At that moment a wide screen stretched out in front of him, with multiple races across it. After flipping through them all, he finally setlled on Shade. Nice and simple, yet cool all the same. The image of him was replaced with a Shade copy. It was exactly the same, except sillouhetted, with yellow eyes. "Finally, create a mental picture of your new form in your head, staying within the limits of your race. Be forewarned, as this game is censored, and intelligent. Anything inapropriate will cause you to be forcibly removed from this game, and your account terminated." Well, there went that plan. Oh well. Why mess with perfection. Cole left himself as was. "Now, simply name your character." Hm... he was a Shade, so... how about Shade? No, too obvious. Well, he did love his little brother, so how about Nate. Boy that would get confusing if Nate picked his own name too.

Anna was reading her book again, and quickly became engrossed. She wasn't pulled back out into the real world until a PA system came on, announcing that the game was finally being released. She quickly noted the page she was on, tucked the book under one arm, and moved with the line.

People were freaking nuts. A few wackos lost their patience and ran for for the doors, only to be apprehended by a burly man she assumed was some kind of security guard and carried away. Anna finally reached the front, and was quick to grab her own copy. More were gone than she'd anticipated that there would be. For a moment, she wondered if if there would be enough, but shrugged it off. It wasn't her problem. At least, not until someone bumped into her on the way to the cashier. She was sent forcefully to the floor, everything she'd been holding scattered everywhere, including the game. By the time she got her bearings, whoever had bumped her, and her game, was gone. With a heavy sigh, she gathered her book and quickly deposited her bag of breakfast trash into a bin. Going back to the pile, she was glad to see that more copies had been supplied, and she grabbed another.

She was quick to get it scanned this time, avoiding all contact with anyone else, and grabbed her own slice of pie. She was happy to see it was Key Lime, one of her favorite flavors, and had little chance of containing peanuts, which she was deathly allergic to. She signed the waver and registration form and was quick to hurry home. She didn't want to miss a second of the time she had to play Real Fiction.

It took a little while to get set up, but it would be worth it. Now, with everything connected and her E-mail verified, she could finally play. She sat in a chair near the TV. Fairly comfortable, it would work for the time she intended to play. She put her hand on the controller and was instantly thrust into blackness.

---

Anna found herself standing on a metal pad of some kind. It was strange, and she brefly wondered where she was, until she remembered once more. All around was black, and facing her... Was herself. She jumped as a feminine voice addressed her.

"Hello, and welcome to Real Fiction," she said, almost monotonely. "I'm going to help you through this proccess to make it go as smoothly as possible. First, please select your gender. Do you want to be this gender, or the opposite gender?" Anna thought about the possibilities. Over all, being a girl wasn't altogether appealing. She was never fond of the stereotypical girl image, anyway, and she didn't want to be looked down upon. After all, who did she know that was getting the game? She had no problem with playing as a guy.

"Opposite gender, please," she finally replied. The image of herself before her seemed to morph. Her hair became shorter, her shoulders bigger, her chin more pronounced. Suddenly, she looked like a boy.

"Good. Next, please select your race." Images and descriptions of all the different races came up. There were so many, several appealing, and she had to really consider. Wilren looked good, but then, so did Avialan... Until she saw Griffen. A nice mixture of the two.

"Griffen, please," she said aloud. Her male counterpart suddenly grew rich brown fur, with large reddish brown wings and brown cat ears. It was cute, but not exactly what she was going for. She was glad to hear the voice speak again.

"Finally, create a mental picture of your new form in your head, staying within the limits of your race. Be forewarned, as this game is censored, and intelligent. Anything inapropriate will cause you to be forcibly removed from this game, and your account terminated." Anna stifled a giggle. She could imagine numnerous guys choosing a female character just to star at her... Well, you get the idea. Slowly, Anna closed her eyes, forming a picture in her mind. What did she like in a guy? Black hair and blue eyes was always a pretty combination. Fairish skin, slight body structure would work for a speedy race like the Griffen. Fur a mixture of silver and black sounded nice. Cute little cat ears... When she openned her eyes, her character took her breath away. God, he was hot. Leave it to her to like her RF character. Maybe she could find a way to print out his picture and put it in her locker... In any case, the voice kept talking. It said nothing about finding your character attractive, after all. Only about nothing perverted.

"Now, simply name your character." Anna thought about it a minute. Numerous names came to her mind, but none sounded outlandish enough. Finally, a good name came to mind.

"How about Niali?"

After twenty minutes of running, Misaki finally burst through the doors of her house. She quickly kicked the door, playing with the key with her foot until she locked it. After tripping on the rug, she finally made it to her huge TV, obviously, stolen. After a load of connecting cables and such, she was finally done. She expected someone to call out to her, telling her to take a rest, yet, she was alone. She didn't care, however, as she quickly sat on the floor, cross-legged and grabbed turned on the TV. She held on to the controller for dear life, yet...

"Crap... forgot the verification thingy!"

---

After some time, she was finally set. She set her laptop next to her, in case she needed to do something on it afterwards. NOW, her heart was beating like crazy as she held on to the controller. A huge smile played on her face as she turned on the TV.

"Here goes!"

---

Misaki was standing on a metal pad, total darkness around her. She sighed, thinking that maybe she grabbed a damaged one, until she heard a woman's voice.

"Hello, and welcome to Real Fiction. I'm going to help you through this process to make it go as smoothly as possible. First, please select your gender. Do you want to be this gender, or the opposite gender?"

Misaki thought for a moment, laughing before answering the voice.

"Girl, please!"

"Good. Next, please select your race."

A wide screen suddenly stretched out infront of her, multiple races across it. The instant she saw the Wilren race, she squealed with happiness, jumping up and down as she spoke.

"Wilren! Wilren! I pick the Wilren race!"

The image of her was replaced with a more cat-like form. Cat ears on her head, a cat tail behind her, claws that could cause quite the cut: it was like she was in heaven.

"Finally, create a mental picture of your new form in your head, staying within the limits of your race. Be forewarned, as this game is censored, and intelligent. Anything inappropriate will cause you to be forcibly removed from this game, and your account terminated."

"Oh, like the Neko Thief would actually pick something perverted! Now... let me think..."

She thought for a moment before snapping her fingers. She imagined herself with the same neck-length hair she had now, but, with a ponytail on top, a collar with a bell on it, to go with the cat theme, a red vest with yellow lines running along it and finally, a pair of purple baggy pants. She also had brown gloves in her hands, which covered the claws and a pair of red boots with yellow lines running along them, just like her vest, which covered her feet... err... paws.

"Now, simply name your character."

"Hmm... what would be a good name for the legendary Neko Thief... how about... Misa-Chan!"

She was so overjoyed. She was about to start the one thing she'd be wanting to do the most. The one thing she as hoping for in such a long time. And, the one thing that she stole quite some items for.

"I'm so evil sometimes... oh well... nya!"

---

Ryoichi yawned as he starred at his TV, the game infront of said TV. Rina suddenly walked up towards the game, grabbing the game in her mouth and setting it down infront of Ryoichi. She started nudging him, flicking her tail back and forth. Ryoichi smiled and patted Rina on the head, picking up the game and walking to the TV. He started to connect all the cables, with some help from Rina. After a few minutes, it was all set up. This was around the time Misaki finished. At the same time as her, he got the feeling that someone would tell him to hurry up and come to eat or something. He sighed, looking at his automail (sp?) hand, then looking back at the TV. The feeling left him as he quickly walked up to the TV, turning it on and sitting down on the floor, holding on to the controller. He waited for a few seconds until he rose an eyebrow, tapping his TV.

"Nothing?"

He looked over at Rina, who was next to the computer, poking it with her paw. That's when it him.

"The confirmation thing..."

---

After Ryoichi turned off the computer, he walked back to where he previously was sitting. He turned on the TV again, grabbing the controller. His heart was starting to beat fast as he took hold of the controller.

"Here goes..."

---

Ryoichi was now standing on a metal pad, surrounded by pitch black darkness. He wondered where he was, until he looked at him, an image of himself standing infront of him. He suddenly heard a woman's voice.

"Hello, and welcome to Real Fiction. I'm going to help you through this proccess to make it go as smoothly as possible. First, please select your gender. Do you want to be this gender, or the opposite gender?"

Ryoichi didn't put much thought into it.

"Male."

"Good. Next, please select your race."

A wide screen stretched out infront of Ryoichi, a bunch of races showing. He saw quite a few of them pretty good, yet, he preferred being a human.

"I'll be a human."

His image still stayed the same. Now came the fun part.

"Finally, create a mental picture of your new form in your head, staying within the limits of your race. Be forewarned, as this game is censored, and intelligent. Anything inappropriate will cause you to be forcibly removed from this game, and your account terminated."

Ryoichi almost laughed, thinking of all the perverts whose dreams were shattered by that last line. He closed his eyes, starting to think of what to look like. He imagined himself with his old, snow white hair, a white shirt with black and yellow lines running along it, black baggy pants that went all the way down to his feet and jet black boots. He also had a black glove on his right arm. It was more or less like his old self, how he used to be before the accident. When he opened his eyes, the image of himself had been changed with what he had imagined. Yet, his automail arm was gone.

"Now, simply name your character."

Ryoichi thought for a moment. It needed to be a name no one would recognize him by. So many names went through his head, until one came along.

"Ryoruke."

Five minutes remained before Locke could play Real Fiction. He felt like he would die of boredom. The clock seemed to slow down every second, and Locke heard every distinct tick. Three minutes left. Two minutes. One minute. Finally, only five more seconds were left. Unlike many of the other crazy fans, he got up calmly and walked over to the box. The first thing Locke saw was a pamphlet. He read over it, and found that since he had an advance copy, he had to e-mail the game administrators a message containing his name, address, and a liability form, which he had to copy down from the pamphlet. Locke couldn't possibly imagine what could go wrong with a video game, but he filled out everything and e-mailed it as instructed.

Next, he had to figure out how to set it up. It was all very complicated, and Locke had to read over the manual a few times before he could figure it all out. After a lot of reading, he took the box over to the living room, where his TV was located. Locke connected the controller to the game, which he hooked up to the TV. Then he verified his e-mail address. By the time he was done, it had been at least an hour. Better late than never, I guess. The pamphlet had told him to stay somewhere comfortable, so he took residence on a sofa. He placed the controller next to himself, and placed his hand in the gel pad. It slowly sunk in, and he found himself on what appeared to be a metal pad, surrounded by darkness. So, this is what virtual reality is? he thought. Suddenly, a mechanical-sounding female voice pierced the darkness.

"Hello, and welcome to Real Fiction. I'm going to help you through this proccess to make it go as smoothly as possible. First, please select your gender. Do you want to be this gender, or the opposite gender?"

As if it was obvious, Locke answered, "Male." A figure of himself appeared right in front of him.

"Good. Next, please select your race."

A wide selection of different-looking creatures appeared, all humanoid. He looked through them, and saw what appeared to be a human with wings, and was labeled "Avialan". "I'll be an Avialan," Locke said. His figure suddenly grew large, white wings. Well, this is disappointing. It looks like a generic angel character, he thought to himself. Locke's disappointment soon disappeared as the voice gave her next instruction.

"Finally, create a mental picture of your new form in your head, staying within the limits of your race. Be forewarned, as this game is censored, and intelligent. Anything inapropriate will cause you to be forcibly removed from this game, and your account terminated."

Locke gave a small laugh at this, and began to think of what he wanted his character to look like. He thought that people would take him more seriously online if he chose an older age. Thinking carefully, he imagined himself at age 16. The character in his mind was about a foot taller than him. He was always fond of kites, so he gave his character the wings of a swallow-tailed kite. Locke then imagined his characer having skin a shade lighter than his own, and with long, silver-white hair. He then imagined his character to have faded grey eyes, with a blank stare that looked like Locke when he was bored.

He opened his eyes, and was surprised to see his character exactly as he imagined it. Locke became even more impressed than he already was. The voice gave its last instruction.

"Now, simply name your character."

Locke thought for a moment. What's a good name for a winged human? He settled on the name Elanus. "Elanus," he said, firmly.

OOC: Sorry I was on a failed boating trip today so here I go.

IC: Keno stood outside in his backyard. The sun glared off his headband as sweat ran down his face. He had been practicing his flips all morning. Though he was a complete tech nerd he did like to stay in shape. After all you can't spend your whole life in front of a screen right?

Just as he ran to do another flip he say a big brown truck pull up front. He instantly realized what it was. Right when he tried to turn his sprint towards the door he slipped on the morning dew. He slid into the fence but quickly recovered and made it to the house. The delivery man rang the bell and Keno answered it in heartbeat.

"I have a package for Keno Takashi," the man said reading his clipboard.

"That would be me," Keno said excitedly.

"Ok let me see some ID and then you can sign right here," the man said chuckling.

Keno practically threw his license at the man and scribbled his signature on the paper. The laughed as he gave Keno his license and package and took his clipboard. Keno quickly thanked the man and ran to his room.

The package he recieved contained the new game Real Fiction. Using his parents connections he was able to order an advanced copy of the game so he didn't have to wait in line. Up in his room he had already set up his chair and system. He opened the package and checked out the game. On the front was a sticker that read: "ADVANCED COPY SERVERS WILL NOT BE ONLINE UNTIL PUBLIC RELEASE." Keno scrambled over to his clock and check the time. He was in luck the public release had just happened.

Keno quickly registured his info online. His internet connection seemed lagged. He figured it was because of all the online registuring. Before he got on the game he adjusted a few things on his router to reduce lag when he got on .

Keno sat down in his chair, popped in his game, and placed his hands on the controller. He was instantly taken to pure darkness. A strange female voice began speaking in his head.

"Welcome to Real Fiction I will guide you through the creation of your character. First please chose your gender. This gender or the opposite gender?" the strange voice said.

"I'll go with this gender," Keno said.

"Very well," the voice said. Just as it finished speaking Keno saw an image of himself appear. It was so lifelike, almost like looking into a mirror. "Now please chose your race." the voice said. Images of many other creatures appeared, eachone resembling Keno in a way.

After looking all the races over and comparing their stats Keno came to a decision. "I'll go with the Wilren," he said.

"Thank now please form your character to your liking but be warned your account will be terminated for any inappropriate ideas," the voice said as all the images dissappeared except for the Wilren.

Keno thought carefully, he would only have one shot at this. He slowly formed his character. He decided to go with the strong, fast, and stealthy panther. The Wilren's fur changed to jet black. His eyes became a piercing yellow. His white fangs and claws became extremely sharp. His muscles even began to bulk up a little. He got stubby ears and long slender tail. On his back formed a small white crest, it was Keno's personal symbol. "There I got it!" Keno said. He was just happy it came out how he wanted.

"Now all you have to do is name your character," the voice said.

"Now that's an easy one his, I mean my, name while be Ryuinu," Keno said.

"Thank you and welcome to Real Fiction." the voice said.

Eh, it's okay.

IC: Amelia stood facing a herself. She had already selected to remain a girl. No sense in faking masculinty. Next, she had to select her race. She fliped through a couple of races, looking at each perfectly. She didn't want to be anything other than herself, after all, what was better for a two-face such as herself than to be just herself? On the other hand, humans weren't exactly bir on ability. Then she found what she was looking for. Rosewinds, flower people. From the description it seemd that she would be able to look human at her age, but still have the benefits of race. Perfect. The final two steps were to moph appearance and choose a name. The first part was easy, just leave it as herself. However, there was a step inbetween. She had to pick a flower of some sort. Obvious choice, a Rose. And for the last step, to mimic her flower, she chose the name "Honeyrose", combining the sweetest of roses with the sweetest of life's sugary treats.

Nate stood facing the image of himself before him. The proccess had been daunting so far, and he had only gotten through gender. But, the longer the wait, the sweeter the victory. The next step was race. Nate wanted something fierce looking, and then he got it. The wings of a predator, the fierceness of a lion, Griffen was the one for him. After selection, he took the real plunge. Knowing full well his choice, a eagle, he took that, and mixed it with the griffen form in his head, creating his final product. Add some long black hair and he really looks cool. And finally, for a name, came something both stupid and cool at the same time. Claw-wing.

OOC: Okay, people, the big plunge is tomorrow. I'll right up everyone's starting quest and scenarios then. Some people will even be put together (Hiro and Poring, due to the isolation you get matched with someone who will tell you about Fictional Reality.

Max and Chester ran home and into Max's room to set up the game.
Max quickly verified his email and started the game.

--------------

Max was suddenly on a metal pad of some sort. He looked around him. In front of him was... himself. And next to the him in front of him was a dog. It was Chester!
He looked beside his own self to see his own Chester sitting next to him!
"Chester?! How did you get in here?" He asked as he looked down at the little dog.
Chester whimpered a whimper that said, "I don't know"
Suddenly a Female voice said, "Hello, and welcome to Real Fiction. I'm going to help you through this process to make it go as smoothly as possible. First, please select your gender. Do you want to be this gender, or the opposite gender?"
Max thought about this for a while. Being a girl might be cool but he liked being a guy.
"I'll stick with this gender thank you" He said.
The it said, "Good. Next, please select your race."
And with that lots of pictures of races came before him. All of the looked so cool!
"I think I'll be an Elf" He said.
After he picked Elf the voice said, "Finally, create a mental picture of your new form in your head, staying within the limits of your race. Be forewarned, as this game is censored, and intelligent. Anything inappropriate will cause you to be forcibly removed from this game, and your account terminated."
He thought in his head about what he would look like. He had very pale skin and very light long blonde hair with a braid on the right side. He had green eyes and pointy ears. He was as tall as Max is because Max wanted him to be the same age. He kept Chester looking the same.
When he opened his eyes the character that was in his head was now looking straight at him.
The character smiled a small sheepish smile and waved a bit at Max.
The voice was silent for a few more seconds and then said, "Now, simply name your character."
"Hmm... How about Steve?" Max suggested. The Elf grimaced at that name.
"Okay. Maybe Bob?" He asked. The Elf didn't seem to like that name either.
"Okay. Maybe..... Maximillion Elf?" He said. The Elf seemed okay with that one.
"And it can be Maxi Elf for short" Max said. The Elf seemed happy at this.
"Thank you and Welcome to Real Fiction" The voice said finally.

Nicholas calmly and as fast as he could grabbed one of the games that made up an enormous yet orderly pile. He glanced at it- yes, it was the correct game. What other game could be bought in here? Abandoning his calm demeanor, Nick dashed up to the counter, where a free clerk was just opening up. He handed the game package to the clerk, who swiped it and accepted his money. "Congratulations," he told Nick, although he sounded like he knew he would be saying the same thing for the rest of the day.

He couldn't wait to open it, but waited, knowing that he should open it at home to minimize the risk of theft. He stowed the game under one arm securely and pushed through the throng towards the doors. Pausing a moment to register his game against theft, he hopped in a taxi cab and directed the driver towards his home.

As soon as he reached home, he raced upstairs and hooked up all of the equipment- the VR panel, the game disk, the extra memory, and the like. As soon as he was done, a notice appeared on the screen- 'Please verify your e-mail.' Once he had done so, another notice began flashing onscreen- 'Please place your hand on the sensor panel.' He did so, and the world vanished.

He was floating in a black void. A feminine voice spoke. Welcome to Real Fiction. I will help you through the character creation process. Firstly, would you like your character to be male or female? He paused a moment to think, then replied, "Male, please." An image of a generic male figure clothed in white appeared in front of him. Now, choose your race. As the samples floated in front of him, he tried to choose. Finally, he decided on Avialan. As soon as he voiced his choice, the figure morphed, taking on birdlike features and wings. Now, visualize the way your character should appear. Be warned, this game is censored and intelligent, and anything inappropriate... Nick stopped listening.

He visualized his image of the character in his mind, and the form in front of him changed again. The wings became black, with golden brown accents along the outside edges. The feathers that lightly covered the body became black as well, except near the hands and feet, where they were golden, mirroring the wingfeather coloring. His crest- the feathers that swept back from the top of his head- were pure white, standing out from the rest of his body. The hair was sleek and black, blending in with the feathers. Nick concentrated once more, and made his character taller, sleeker, and bulked him up a bit. The eyes... the irises were black, with a yellow ring around them. His fingernails were made of a harder material, and were quite sharp. "That's good," Nick remarked, smiling.

Now, simply name your character, the Helpvoice intoned. "Um... how about..." he thought of a completely fictional name, "Kyrre. Kyrre Goldenwing," he finished, giving himself a title. Welcome to Real Fiction. You may now begin. Everything went white.

OOC: GAH! Must catch up! Lucky I wrote most of this out ahead of time.

IC: After zoning out for a minute, the line surged forward and my uncle was savagely pulling my arm so badly, I thought it would literally come out of its socket. As my uncle got in line for the game, I waited on the other end of the store with the chair and the cooler until he came and found me with the game and a pie in hand.

"Don't ask about it." He said, noticing my 'what-the-heck..." look.

I stared at the pastry like it was some foreign object until my uncle took the cooler and we made our way back to the apartment. Going up ten flights of stair with an umbrella equpied chair, a half full coller and a pie wasn't the easiest thing in the world. After getting inside and putting everything away, my uncle was already getting the game set up, eating most of the pie as he went along. I only had a small bit of it. I layed in my room for hours, listening to the radio until I came out of it to get my laptop. I was surprised to see Real Fiction already set up for me, with anote in my computer.

'You really should try this, at least once.'

I knew it was from my uncle, and seeing as how desparate he was to get, I thought it would be rude and mean to not give it a try. I turned my laptop on, seeing a verification was needed before playing the game itself. After I was done with that, I glanced at the controler before putting my hand on it.

'Welcome to Real Fiction. I will help you through the character creation process. Firstly, would you like your character to be male or female?' A feminine voice asked.

"Like I'm going to be a guy..." I said. "Female."

'Now, choose your race.'

After going through a list of various species of characters, I was very inclined to go with a Shade, but then decided on a human.

'Thank now please form your character to your liking but be warned your account will be terminated for any inappropriate ideas'

"Thats the best thing I've heard so far." I said.

I thought of myself as I was, except I had my real arm like I did in the past, and not a mechanical replacement.

'Now please name your character.' The voice instructed.

I was rather fond of my own name, but didn't want to use it exactly how it was, as I was probably going to find some nickname for myself at some point if I liked the game that much. I went through possible names that had meaning to me, until I finally settled on one.

"Rikku Amaya." I answered.

'Welcome to Real Fiction. You may now begin.'

Everything got intesnely bright and I couldn't see anything.

Cole/Nate

Nate woke up in confusion. He was lying on the could hard ground, and, looking around, he could see three walls, two to each side of him and one behind. In front of him was not another wall, but a row of metal bars blocking his way. Then he shook himself and slapped himself in the face, obviously hallucinating. What he had just seen was a jail cell. Then he opened his eyes again, and found that it was no hallucination. Shade stood up, shakily, and walked over to the edge of the cell to take hold of the bars, noting that his hands were now silhouetted, not against anything, just pure black. He looked around quickly, wondering how he had been placed in jail, when memories that were not his came to him in a flash. The murder. The running. The capture. It all came back, like a dream. And now he was stuck in a jail cell trying to find a way out. As he scanned the area outside his cell, he could tell it was falling apart, but had once been a maximum security section of the prison. Then he noticed that almost all of the other cells were in ruin, save for his, and one other, directly across. Inside was a girl, of the species he recognized as a Wilren.

You wake up in the hotel you were staying at, a nice little place in the human capital. It was a smart idea really; build a hotel on a boat at the docks, charge a little bit of money for people to get the experience of sleeping on a boat. Then you notice that the gentle rocking is a bit fiercer, and that the boat is moving slightly faster than it should be. The next thing you notice is that you’re tied up in your room with all weapons and clothes taken away from you. A man is lying on the floor next to you, asleep. He’s not tied up, but he appears to be one of your captors. He’s also dressed like a pirate! The boat has been taken by pirates. You notice that his sword is fairly close to your arm. If you can just reach over and…
Inventory Obtained: Iron Cutlass

Misaki/ Misa-Chan

You come back into consciousness with a sore head and blood coming from your lip. You’re in front of the house you were just trying to rob. The man who owned the place caught you and started attacking you not five minutes ago, and he must have gotten the Guards by now. If you listen carefully, you can hear their marching coming closer. The man took all of your belongings except for your clothes, ad including your knife. With no way to protect yourself, you’ve got to find some safe place to escape and fast!
Inventory Obtained: Ragged Shirt, Cloth Pants

Joseph/Shiki

You awaken from your slumber to the sound of horses, but they arrive before you are fully aware. One holds a sword to your throat from the road, and calls you an imbecile for sleeping so close to the road. He demands all of your money, but you spent it all in the last town on food. Your sword is right behind you, and they haven’t seen it yet. A perfect situation to fit an expert swordsman
Inventory Obtained: Iron Shortsword, Blue Cloth Tunic, Cloth Pants, Leather Boots

Ryoichi/Ryoruke

You awaken from your bed at the Inn, and look over to the table where you usually leave all of your belongings to find that they are missing. The window to your room is also wide open, meaning a thief must have come inside in the middle of the night and stolen it all. Ordinarily it would be fine, except that the thief also took your favored sword. You grab a spare sword and head out to look for clues as to the thief’s location.
Inventory Obtained: Iron Shortsword, Cloth Pants.

Nate/Claw-wing

Claw-wing awoke in the woods, a little bit afraid but not too much. After all, he was perched in a tree, bow at the ready. But still, when someone else, bigger than you and higher up than you is pointing a bow with sharper arrows at your head, who wouldn’t be afraid? Claw-wing slowly looked up, wondering if it was an accursed Avialan pointing its bow at him, or one of his own. To his deep surprise, it was an Argonian.
“Who are you?” He asked.
“My name is Kelesta.” The Argonian replied. It was in a feminine voice, and its skin was green, indicating that the Argonian was female. “And who might you be.”
“My name is Claw-wing. I come from the village of Tedori.”
“Ha.” Kelesta laughed. “Tedori is an Argonian village. Just what were you doing there?”
“I was looking for acceptance, and you’re people seemed to like me.” Kelesta seemed surprised by this, and lowered her guard, giving Claw-wing the chance to strike. He quickly flew up and grabbed her by the throat, then pinned her against the tree, taking an arrow from his quiver and holding it like a knife to her heart. “And now I’m in control.” Claw-wing said with a smirk.
Inventory Obtained: Avialan Cloth Shirt, Wilren Cloth Pants, Iron Bow, Iron Arrows (15)

Amelia/Honeyrose

At first, darkness. The girl was afraid that something had gone wrong, but then, light came as the flower bloomed, a beautiful rose with the girl in the center. The small tendril serving as her umbilical cord receded, disconnecting her from the flower, though they would in fact always be one. Her body was bare, save for a large leaf that wrapped around her entire body, leaving the arms and legs free to move. She shakily took her first steps forward towards the Rosewind in front of her, and slowly got down on one knee, bowing before her.
“Mother.” She said with her first unsteady words.
“Daughter. I am pleased to see you have bloomed well.” The Rosewind said back to her in the ancient ritual of birth.
“Thank you, my Mother. And now I ask, what is my name?” The most important part of the birthing ritual. Mother had a full thirteen years to consider it, and finally the answer would be given out loud.
“My daughter, I name you… Honeyrose.”
“And I thank you for my name.” Honeyrose said.

After weeks and weeks, it was finally out. Real Fiction, the latest in technology and gaming, was released. Joseph had reserved his copy and was waiting for his best friend to bring it over for him. Joseph had broke his leg the previous week and wasn't capable of walking to the nearest game store. Joseph st on the couch reading a Game Informer magazine when suddenly the doorbell rang. Joseph lay the magazine on the table and grabbed his crutches. He limped toward the door.

"Is that you Josh?"

"Of course it's me. I brought the game over for you along with my copy. Wait, why am I socializing with you through the door, when I can be inside with you playing. Now hurry open up."

Joseph twisted the door knob and let his best friend Josh in. He saw Josh carrying two copies of Real Fiction in the bag.

"Come on give me the game already!"

Josh opened the bag and gently handed Joseph Real Fiction. Joseph hooked up the game and stepped on to the metal platfor, putting on the headset.

"Hello. Welcome to Real Fiction. Please state your gender."

"Male."

"Next, I will need you to choose a race out of the following."

"I'll choose a human please."

"Imagine a mental image of your character. Anything innapropriate can and will get your account terminated."

"Alright. I got it."

"Finally, choose a name for your character."e

"How about Shiki? Yeah Shiki is fine."

"Alright. Welcome to Real Fiction."

"Wow. Technology these days. Here we go!"

OOC: Heh, I love how mine both involve thieves XD

IC:

Misa-Chan shook her head, some blood running down her lip as her head throbbed, as if she had been attacked. She looked at where she was and noticed she was infront of a house, obvious signs that she was trying to steal it from how everything was set up. Then, out of nowhere, memories of a theft came to her. How she was attacked. The fact that the owner went off to look for the guards. The fact that she'd best run or she'd be screwed. She quickly stood up, doing her usual "twitch-the-ear" thing, yet this time, she DID have cat ear to twitch! She squealed in happiness, until she heard marching, probably Guards or something, coming towards her. Something told her to run, probably her instincts, which she quickly did. Yet, she pretty much had no idea where she was running to, so she just headed off in a random direction towards the forest, in something she wanted to do all her life:

"I can't believe it! I'm running on all fours! I'm running on all fours! I'm running on all fou-"

She slammed into a tree, sweatdropping as she rubbed her head. The marching started getting closer, so she sped up her pace, the bell on her collar ringing as she ran.

"Something tells me I should have left the bell out..."

---

Ryoruke yawned as he sat up on the bed, wondering where exactly he was. He shook his head, glancing at an empty table, and the memories came back to him. How he was an elite swordsman. How he got banished. The fact that he was now staying at an inn. And the fact that his most precious sword was gone.

"Nice... so soon and I've already been robbed..."

He stood up, grabbing a short sword and putting it on it's sheath (sp?) before walking towards the window. He quickly jumped out, walking around in search of clues of the whereabouts of the thief and his belongings.

"I am so gonna kick the guy's ass..."

OOC: Hope I did it right ._.;

Kyrre struggled against his bonds, the ropes cutting uncomfortably into his wings. /This is so cool!/ a voice in his head exclaimed. He was two people at the moment- the Avialan Kyrre Goldenwing, and Nicholas. All at the same time! The sensation was odd.

Kyrre turned his attention to his bonds, and to the cutlass he held in one hand. He began sawing at the ropes, and had freed himself in no time. Getting silently up, he picked up his Avialan Cloth Shirt and Leggings and put them on. He crept out the door. When he got to the front desk, he opened the safe (which showed signs of having been unsuccessfully meddled with) and got out his deposit- a gold coins. Not much, but enough for now. He fled out the door, making it quickly to the guardhouse down the way. He began to hear shouts emerging from the boat hotel. The guardhouse door was locked, and inside the guardsman was sleeping. The Avialan banged on the door, hoping to wake the guard.

((Received: Avialan Cloth Shirt, Avialan Cloth Leggings, 15 gold))

OOC: Currency is counted in gold. If you go to any store in the world I'll list their wares and how much it all costs. Also if you run into any highwaymen on the road and you don't have a hundred gold, they'll try to kill you. Sad, but true.

IC:

Misa-chan

The Guards are following you by the sounds of the bell. One manages to spot you, and now that they know what you look like, a 100 Gold Bounty is placed on your head. The city you just left is very close to Wilren territory, and if you can just cross the border, the armed human Guards can't follow you, though the bounty will still be there.

Ryoruke

When you get outside and inspect the area around your window, you find a set of Wilren footprints leading away from your room and out towards a large house. At the doorstep there is some blood spattered on the ground, and you see the Guards chasing after someone who appears to be your theif. The home's owner returns, and unlocks the door. When you look at his back, you see that your sword is strapped to it! He must have taken it from the thief. Time to get it back, either by force or by reasoning.

Kyrre

It's still late in that pat of the world. The guards are all sound asleep. Several pirates come running at you, weapons drawn. You're outnumbered and outmatched, but there's nowhere to run. You'll just have to hold them off until the Guards wake up.

Misa-Chan kept running, looking behind her every once in a while to see if she still was being followed. She noticed one of her guards saw her face, meaning she was in deep trouble. She quickly looked back infront of her, a smirk on her face that revealed one of her fangs appeared as she jumped on a boulder, then at another, and finally, jumping from one last boulder to the other side of some rapids. She turned around, licking her paws as she stuck her tung out at the guards.

"You may have caught the Neko Thief in the act, but you'll never put her in a cage!"

She ran off in the same direction she was headed, a town (correct me if I'm wrong) not too far off.

"Hopefully, I'm not in trouble there too..."

She smiled, twitching her ears as she neared said town.

"Why worry? There's no way I'll be in a cage! Ever!"

---

Ryoruke started to follow the footprints he had found earlier. After a few minutes, he was near a house, some guards chasing after what looked to be his thief. He glanced at the owner of the house and his eyes widened. Strapped to his back was his baby. He quickly jumped out of the bushes, walking towards the man and bowing his head in greeting.

"Excuse me... pardon me for bothering you... but.. that blade you have on your back... where'd you find it?"

He held his hand ready to take out his own sword if things got hostile, yet he wouldn't jump to violence just yet. He needed to wait how things turned out.

Keno/Ryuinu

The darkness gives way to a blinding light. Just as the darkness did the light slowly starts to fade. Keno, well actually Ryuinu, finds himself sitting at a small table. He scans his surroundings looking for anykind of danger. The game seems to have started him out in some kind of restruant. On the table in front of him is a small cup of tea. Ryuinu cautiously picks it up and takes a sip. Amazingly enough he can actually tatse it. But the sightseeing does last long as some thugs walk up.

"Give us all you got," one of the thugs said.

Ryuinu could feel a long staff straped to his back. "Well if you say so..." he said smiling.

Linzee arrived home, and instantly plopped down at her computer to verify her e-mail. It didn't take long, since she had high-speed internet. She zoomed up the stiars to her attic, which had been turned into a playroom years ago. At one end, there was a huge large screen t.v., and at the other end was another computer. There was also assorted toys, long since abadoned, at the edges of the room, and game boxes littered the floor. In front of the t.v. was a chair, not bought too long ago, that extremely comfortable. In fact, Linzee had been sitting in that chair a lot the past few weeks.

Today, she sat down and started the game. All around her, everything was black. Pure darkness...She felt like screaming, she hated the pitch black. In fact, she had slept with a night light until she was ten or eleven. Suddenly, a voice spoke.

"Hello, and welcome to Real Fiction. I'm going to help you through this proccess to make it go as smoothly as possible. First, please select your gender. Do you want to be this gender, or the opposite gender?" A female voice, sounding really fake, spoke.

Linzee had to think only a moment before she replied,"Female."

She noticed the short pause before the voice spoke again,"Good. Next, please select your race from the following."

Linzee looked through them all, feeling awed at the differant choices. Her final choice was between a Shade and a Welrin, and she finally decided on a Welrin. "Welrin."She said, her voice soft.

The female voice heard her, however, and continued on,"Finally, create a mental picture of your new form in your head, staying within the limits of your race. Be forewarned, as this game is censored, and intelligent. Anything inapropriate will cause you to be forcibly removed from this game, and your account terminated."

Like I'd pick something perverted anyway. Linzee thought, rolling her eyes. Then she shut her eyes, and began picturing herself as she wanted it to be. Her hair, no fur, would be black, with dark purple streaks in them. She would be a bit shorter than in real life, about 5'6" instead of her 5'7". Her eyes were an orange color, and slanted, looking extremely cat-like. Her nose, which was almost flat against her face like some breeds of cats, was dark black. Though it was flatter than normal cat noses, her face didn't look squashed like most cats that had such noses, she merely had less of a muzzle sticking out. Her skin was still the same pale color as she always was, because she didn't want to change this one important charistic of herself, even though she hated it. It seemed wrong to her. Besides, no one would know it was her, even if she kept her skin tone the same.

She opened her eyes, to see herself in front of her, looking exactly as she had imagined. Perhaps clearer than her mind's image, and better, but it was definately what she had wanted. She grinned.

"'Now please name your character."The female voice forced Linzee to come back to her senses, and forget about how her RF self was much prettier than her own self, or so she thought.

"That's simple enough, I guess."She replied, swallowing hard and thinking. She had always been horrible with names, but this time one came to her effortlessly. "Alright, then. I'll be Mea. Mea the Wilren..."

"Thank you and welcome to Real Fiction...."

IC:

What am I going to do? If I don't give him my money he will probably kill me. On the other hand if I do give him my money and stay alive what will I live off of until I get home. And trying to shoot him with an arrow is very risky. Oh.... What should I do? Maxi thought to himself.
He decided to try to test the thief’s brains. Most thief’s weren’t that smart to be honest.
"Okay. Just let me get it and count it out for you." Maxi said.
He grabbed a little bit of his money and counted it out. Then the rest and did the same.
He didn't want the thief to know how much money he had so he used 2 random numbers.
"Hey. How much is 15 plus 10?" Maxi asked.
The thief seemed puzzled by this and thought about it for a while.
Yes! I knew it! Now I just need to confuse him so I can shoot him with an arrow! Maxi thought
"Hey! What's that?" He said as he pointed behind the thief.
"What? Where?" The thief asked as he turned around.
Maxi quickly shot an arrow at the thief. It was a direct hit and sunk deep into his back. After a few seconds he dropped.... dead.
Maxi put the money back and found Chester, his dog, and they ran far from the thief trying to find the way home.

OOC: Eeveelover, this doesn't matter much, but I think italics are what are more commonly used for thinking.

IC:
Soon after Locke chose his character's name, bright light pierced through the pitch black darkness, causing him to close his eyes. When he opened them, Locke saw that he was gliding over a beautiful forest. Good graphics, he thought, impressed. Wait a minute, he realized, I'm flying? He looked back, and was surprised to see he had taken on the apperance of Elanus, the character he created. All of his memories as Elanus suddenly came to him. Before he could digest this information, a barrage of arrows sang towards him. Instinctively, Elanus tried to evade all of the arrows, but one managed to skim his face. He winced in pain. I didn't know it was going to be this realistic! Praying for luck, he took a few arrows out of the quiver strapped to his back, and blindly fired them down into the forest with his iron bow. A catlike scream confirmed Elanus had hit his target. The arrows stopped, and he assumed they were tending to the Wilren that he hit's wound. Elanus used his time to descend closer to the forest, so that it would be harder for his pursuers to reach him. After gliding for what seemed to be hours, he reached the end of the forest.

Elanus landed away from the forest, next to a river. He reviewed the information that had apparently entered his mind upon coming into the world of Real Fiction. He was fleeing from his village after a quarrel happened, and some Wilrens that were arguing with Elanus's village happened to realize some of them were escaping. They chased down the escaped Avialans, and he was separated from the other villagers that were escaping. Elanus was now trying to get to the Avialan capital, where he thought the other Avialans he knew would be. His only possesions were his Avialan clothing, an iron bow, and a quiver of arrows. This is all very exhausting for a video game, he thought. He realized that he was very thirsty from gliding so long, and went over to the river. As he drank the water, Elanus's thirst began to slowly go away. When he was done drinking, he set off towards the Avialan capital to find someone from his village, and maybe obtain some advice from other players.

Kyrre hammered on the door harder, but the Imperial Guardsman wouldn't open up. Fine, he thought. I'll just have to take them on myself.

One of the three pirates who had been chasing him leaped towards the Avialan, but Kyrre swung the cutlass, wounding the pirate and knocking him to the ground. Two more circled him. He knew that he wouldn't be able to take them both down. One attacked him with a sword, grunting like a madman, but Kyrre disarmed him and knocked him out with the flat of the blade.

The final pirate looked disconcerted, but yelled back to the boat, "Pirates! To me!" He seemed to realize his mistake, but before he could do anything else, guards who had been on patrol surrounded him. "More Sailors' Guild rubbish," the captain remarked to his lieutenant, who nodded and ordered a few of his men to seal the entrance of the boat hotel. The captain took the pirate inside. The lieutenant told Kyrre, "You're free to go. As an Avialan, you're not under Imperial rule and don't have to give a statement." Kyrre nodded, thanked the lieutenant for showing up when he did, folded his wings, and departed down the city street. Behind him, though, a few of the pirates escaped to their own ship. One of the few remaining, the one who tied him up, muttered, "I'll get you, Avialan. You'll face the vengance of the Sailors' Guild."

You awaken in a dark, dank cell. It appears that while you were sleeping, the barman ratted you out to the Guards, and they managed to get you to the town's old dungeon without waking you. By looking out of the bars, you can see that most of the other cells are in disrepair, but from faded words above the nearby door that this used to be a maximum security facility. The rest of the prison must have been full, because both yourself and the Shade in the cell across from you are in ownership of the only two secure cells in the entire area. You look around and there seems to be no way out until you see the body of your predecessor, a human whose skeleton is bleached and bare on the ground next to you. And from a chain around his neck is a lockpick! You're going to have to break out it seems.

As you run towards the town, you cross the border into Wilren Territory. Now the Guards can't follow you, though you'd best be cautious. If anyone recognizes you from the Bounty board's description, they'll try to turn you in. You approach the town and enter it, passing by a horse stable as you go. Wilren are fast, but it's tiring, and what's better than a horse to help with that?

A feeling of accomplishment surges through you as you have completed your first qest. Unfortunately, other than a fancy new sword, you didn't get anything out of it, and you lost your bow. Oh well. Better luck next time.

Honeyrose: An hour had passed, and in that time Honeyrose's leaf had been discarded in favor of comfortable human clothes. As it seemed obtaining your very own wardrobe of Rosewind clothes was something that would happen in a few weeks, after she had proven that she had the skills to be called a Rosewind. To do that, she would have to travel around, searching for a piece of Dragonwort. It was inditinguishable from a rose, but if Honeyrose was truly a Rosewind, she would be able to identify it. It was rare though, and the journey would take weeks. She would also have to be cautious of men. For a Rosewind to feel for a human would result in her becoming human herself. In a matter of a few short hours she would be sent off in search of the flower, which only grew in a few places. Inside Honeyrose's mind Amelia snickered, knowing full well that there would be guide books detailing where they would grow.

Misa-Chan finally made it to the city. She tiredly kept walking, glancing to her left as she noted a stable. An evil smile crept on her lips as she looked around, hopefully no one seeing her as she jumped into the stable, quietly. She poked her head up, noticing no one had noticed her, she quickly got on the horse, smiling happily.

"I've never ridden a horse before... but meh... I'll learn as I go, I guess!"

The horse walked out of the stable, and with a few kicks on the side, it started running into the city. Since it would be best not to be noticed, she quickly put on her hood, the same smile on her face... that is, until the horse started acting up for some reason.

"Uhh... you okay horsey?"

When she finished that sentence, she noted she had accidentally digged her claws into the horse's side, causing the horse to push her off, falling off from said horse. She landed at the foot of someone, looking up to see who it was. As she did, she made sure she had her hood on, just so she wouldn't be recognized easily.

"Did you say... the Neko Thief...?"

Without a second's passing, Ryoruke's face changed to a serious one. He stood infront of the man, starring at his face.

"Two things: One, that sword was stolen from me, probably from that same Neko thief. Two, where did she go?"

He tried to look as calm as possible, yet, it was obvious he looked anxious to know the answer. He started to reach for his sword, something telling him something might get messy.

"Tell me. Now."

Mea woke up in a dark jail cell, and felt terror pulse through her veins. She had barely started this game, and already she was in a jail?! Good God...She took a deep breath to calm herself, her cat-like eyes flicking about the cell. Across the hall was a Shade, probably there for stealing something. She herself had no idea what she had done, she hadn't had a chance to do anything bad yet. Probably some dirty Avialins... The thought crossed her mind, but it wasn't her's. It was...She realized it must be a reaction because she was a Welrin. Well, perhaps this body would know a way out of this place, too?

Cat eyes were good for seeing in the dark, which was perhaps why Mea didn't start screaming at the top of her lungs right away. However, when her gaze stopped on a skeleton, yes a real-live...er dead skeleton, she freaked.

"Oh my God! Oh my..."She stopped suddenly, clamping one of her clawed hands over her mouth. She realized her voice was even differant here, not in a bad way, either. It was slight higher, a cross between a kitten's mewling and an adult cat's voice.

After she got over her intial shock of being put in a jail cell with a skeleton, she noticed a lockpick on a chain around his neck. "Smart...leaving a lockpick in here with a supposed criminal. Which I'm not...Yet." She whispered to herself, but knew she would most likely be one at some point during this game. She stepped closer to the skeleton and carefully pulled the chain from it.

The lockpick felt strange in her claws, but she managed to unlock her jail cell. A chill ran down her spine as she crept out into the corridor. She knew she would have to do things that she would never do in the real world, but she hadn't thought it would be like this. So life-like, so...real.

She shook it off, and dropped down onto all fours. She felt better standing like this, and she quickly took off towards a window. It had bars on it, of course, but they were rusty and already weak. Her claws would be able to slash through them. She took her escape into the night from the window.

Mea

As you start to leave the jail cell, the Shade calls out to you. "Wait!" He shouts, sticking his arm through the bar and waving. "From what this stinking computer tells me, I can't make lockpicks for myself like most Shades. Could you come over here and give me a hand?" He seems desperate. Maybe you should help him.
Bounty: 300 for crime+100 for escaping jail=400

Nate

The Wilren was awake, and from her reaction to something in her cell, clearly not an NPC. But, she managed to get a grip on herself, and got a lockpick from somewhere, getting the door open. Good lockpicking skills. Interesting. But then, she showed no regard for him, running towards the rusty bars of the jail window and slashing them open with her claws. Nate called out to her. "Wait! From what this stinking computer tells me, I can't make lockpicks for myself like most Shades. Could you come over here and give me a hand?" Inside Cole knew he sounded desperate, and ouside so did Nate, but neither persona cared. He just wanted to get out as soon as possible.

Misa-chan

You look up and see a Wilren dressed in the armor of a Guard standing high above you. You can tell he's not very happy with you.
"Well well well, if it isn't the Neko Thief. Didn't you learn your lesson the last time?" Somehow he can tell that it's you. You ponder over what he means, untl more memories come back to you. Apparently you went on a burglary spree the last time you were here, and managed to get your name stricken from the Bounty Board after you were caught, clearing away a 500 G bounty. Clearly you're as impressive a thief in this reality as you are in the actual one. A scar adorns the Guard's right cheeck, and you recall that he was the one who caught you, and that you slashed him with your knife and escaped. He draws his sword, unwilling to take you in alive, but you're unarmed, and just you luck, a downpour begins at that moment, muddying the road and preventing you from running.

Ryoruke

The man smiles. "Well, if this sword is yours then I guess you should have it back." He takes the sword from his back and hands it to you. "Oh, and I suppose she took your clothes as well. Here, I also took these from her, as well as this knife. My name is Montgomery Derolvia, and I'm owner of the biggest store in the capital. If you're ever in the neighborhood, stop in and give them this note." He hands you a note. "Just show it to them, and they'll make sureto give you discount. Sorry for the confusion." And with that, the slightly off man opens the door and goes inside, and you hear a click. Then you hear another click, and he re-opens the door and pops his head out. "Sorry friend, almost forgot. The Neko Thief went that way last I saw, out into the woods and in the direction of Cadon City. I wouldn't mess with her though. She's a fierce little wildcat. Took me quite a while to take her down."
Inventory Obtained: Jeweled Sword (no weapon usage), Fine Cloth Shirt, Derolvia Wares Voucher.

Mea turned around when the Shade spoke. She had been so focused on escaping, she had barely noticed him since her first look around the jail. She leaped back in the window, making sure she didn't make too much noise as she landed on the hard floor. She slowly made her way to the cell containing the Shade and unlocked it quickly. Again, a chill ran down her spine as she realized how wrong this all was. She probably had a price on her head by now. This was no time for introductions, of course, but something told her to tell this Shade her name. And she at least wanted to know his name, afterall, she had helped him.

"I'm Mea, by the way."She whispered, hurrying towards the window,"Now let's get out of here before someone finds out we're out of our cells."

Ryuinu

Ryuinu set his tea down before standing up. After smoothing out his robe and gaining the composure that came with this character he faced the thugs. "So you want all I got huh?" Ryuinu asked.

"Yeah give it to me," the thug said excitedly thinking he was getting an easy score.

"Ok, but you asked for it," Ryuinu said as dropped down to the floor. He spun around kicking the thugs feet causing him to fall backwards. He then jumped up into a midair flip and pulled out his staff. As he came down he smashed the staff into the next thugs face knocking him out cold. Then Ryuinu jabbed his staff backwards into the last thugs stomach and twirled it around and smashed him in the face.

The whole thing was a blur for Keno. Everything he pulled off was out of pure instinct. He slowly walked over to the first thug and harshly stepped on his stomach winding him. "Now why did you attack me?" Ryuinu asked putting the end of his staff on the thugs forehead.

As you run down the path you come across a small town. The encounter with the thief was tiring for and Chester was hungry. You come across a busy tavern and you decide to go in. But just as your food arrives a man confronts you.

"I heard you just killed Grofon and if that's true then me and you have a problem," the man said getting in your face.

Elanus

The path down the river is well worn. As walk you pass a seemingly endless number a trees. You almost start to see a pattern, tree, tree, rock, tree, bush, tree. A shake of your head clears that dillusion. One thing it doesn't clear is the fiant rustling you keep hearing. It sounds like the wind but is very regular. You stop for a second to check behind you. Nothing, But as you turn around a Welrin jumps from a tree at you, claws and fangs bared.

Misa-Chan starred at the Wilren, lowering her hood. The memories of what had happened in this town went into her head. She slowly stood up, twitching her ears once before starring at the scar on the Wilren's cheek. Although she looked scared on the outside, inside, she was planning on her escape. It may have been raining, but that didn't mean she couldn't use this to her advantage.

...Somehow.

"Seriously Misaki... like rain is ACTUALLY going to help you escape..."

She made an adorable face, which showed fear. She twitched her paws together, making fake tears.

"Oh please Mister... can't you let me be this once? I promise I wont do it again..."

"Yeah... sure... stealing is my life!"

She made it seem so convincing, it'd be almost impossible not to believe her. One of her hands were behind her. This one, however, was glove-less. She span the glove around her finger, holding her hand ready to use it if her initial plan didn't work.

---

Ryoruke strapped the sword to his side, bowing his head at the man as he took what he had given him. He put on the shirt and put away the paper, bowing his head again before starting his walk towards Cadon. He waved behind him at the man.

Thank you Montgomery, I'll pass by the shop when I can."

The instant he finished this sentence, he sped off towards Cadon, determination to find this Neko Thief on his face. If it was who he thought it was...

"The name's Nate. So, shall we be off?" Nate asks you, before leaping out of the window, and instantly cursing himself for not looking. High heights were on thing for a cat girl, but for an almost human, not so much. Luckily a bush was underneath him. You follow him out the window, and he says "C'mon. From what my memories gather, you were brought in uncnciious, and don't know the way out of town. I, on the other hand, was fully awake, and I can show you the way to the next town. We should be safe there as long as we don't talk to anyone." You follow him to the town gates. Now is the time for decision. Do you trust him and go with him, or go your own way?

Misa-chan

"Sorry Neko Thief, but after what you did to me, it's not going to happen. You're going to pay for this scar." He draws back his sword, preparing for a strike, but, fortunately for you, the excess weight on his back heel causes him to slip in the mud. He also happens to be standing right in front of where the dirt road becomes cobblestone, and the resulting crack tells you that he's dead. A small icon appears over his body. As it seems, he was one of the testers, and the blinking icon, as you recall form the instructions, means he will be respawning soon. When it blinks blue, you've got plenty of tim left. Yellow is only a bit, and red is to stand bakc and allow him to respawn in the nearest town. Go ahead and search his body if you want, but just remember you only have so much time and certain items can not be taken.

Indecision struck Mea, but then again, Nate seemed like a nice guy. Well, from the few moments she had known him. And it would be safer to go with him, even if he did decide to kill her or rob her, because she could get in worse trouble if she got lost. So in the end she nodded, deciding to go with him.

"Alright, let's go."She said softly, flicking her hair out of her eyes.

Misa-Chan looked slightly nervous as she reached down, poking the body. That's when it hit her: He'll respawn soon so it'd be best to get out of there. She grabbed his sword, strapping it to her back as she put her hood up again, ignoring the stares she was getting. She climbed back on the horse, retracting her claws to make sure she wouldn't fall off again. She tapped the sides of the horse before racing out of town, knowing more guards would come at her soon if she stayed. A small smile was still on her lips as the horse stopped.

"Too muddy, eh? Fine..."

She wasn't too far from her previous location, maybe five or six feet away. She got off the horse and ran off into an alley, putting her hand around the bell so it wouldn't give her location away.

"Well... I may not be as skilled in thievery here as I am in real life... but... oh well... The Neko Thief lives on!"

Elanus's journey down the river didn't seem to end. He could make nothing of the path ahead of him, and only saw the river stretch out until he couldn't see any further. While he was travelling, he looked towards the forest. He began to believe he saw a pattern in it. Snap out of it, Locke thought from inside his character. Elanus shook his head, and the pattern disappeared. However, he couldn't shake off a faint rustling sound in the tree leaves. He knew it couldn't be the wind; it was a more distinct sound. Finally, Elanus stopped and turned his head towards the sound. I knew it. It's nothing. But suddenly, a Wilren jumped out of the trees, and gave a loud, feral scream. The Wilren nimbly landed right in front of Elanus, and scratched his face with his long, sharp claws. "Not another one!" Elanus shouted, and he quickly jumped up and glided off as fast as his wings would go, ignoring his wounds. He heard the Wilren's footsteps catch up to him at an alarming rate. Quickly, Elanus turned around and went behind the Wilren. Before the Wilren could find out what was happening, Elanus had already shot three arrows into his left leg. The Wilren fell immobilized to the ground. The victory seemed to boost his morale, and Elanus glided off towards his destination before more Wilrens could catch up with him.

Strangely, he reached the Avialan capital earlier than he thought. The game probably forced me to encounter that Wilren before I could advance, Locke suspected from inside Elanus's mind. He walked up to the gates. "Excuse me," a guard asked him, "What is your name?" "Elanus," he answered. The guard paused, as if processing the information. "Very well, you may enter," the guard said. Elanus entered the gates, and saw many Avialans there, NPCs and players alike. I hope this memory thing kicks in, or I won't be able to find anyone from Elanus's old village, Locke thought. He began to wander around in the city, searching for advice and someone he knew.

Ryuinu rolled his eyes and sighed. "The game just startes ten minutes ago and there is already idiots thinking they can shake down anyone," he said shaking his head.

"So are you going to let me go?" the thug asked.

"Yeah sure why not," Ryuinu said. The thugs face brightened up as he smiled. The smile quickly disappeared as the thug was knocked out by a smack to the face. Feeling frustrated at the loss of his bow, Kyrre made a snap decision to return to the nearest Avialan city, the Golden Talon, and buy a new one. Avialan-made bows were considered better than almost any others, and could easily outmatch a human bow. Unfortunately, the Golden Talon was a ways away, and through Wilren territory. The road through it WAS considered neutral territory, and could be traveled by all, but this rule was routinely broken by hot-blooded young Wilren eager for a fight with an Avialan or human.

While he was reluctant to risk an encounter with a Wilren without a bow, he did need to get a new one, and so he made the decision to travel to the Golden Talon, whatever the risks. The walls of the human city came up ahead of him, and he passed through the impressive gates with only a minor glance from a guard. So far, so good, he thought.

OOC: Sorry, I couldn't get on the computer yesterday, and I edited my last post seeing as I thought I would. Boy I got alot of catching up to do. And sorry for shortness.

IC: I had to think quickly. This person was going to wake up any second, and surely find me if I didn't do something. I felt like this was one of English class's hard questions, except I was living it this time. Killing him with the dagger would only make things worse for me, and same with the guy at the door. I took a quiet step out from over the man, and I seal walked across the floor, making sure that my weight was spread out to prevent any creaking, and moved towards the dying fire. I put my clothes over it to completely put it out, rendering total darkness in the room. Then I moved against the dark wall right behind where the door would open. I put my clothes back on after I moved so that no trace of ash could be found when I moved.

That must've worked, no that had to have worked. I can't even see my own hand in this house. I thought. God if the game is like this to start off, who knows how much harder its going to get.

Honestly, if I wasn't as impulsive as I was, I'd probably be dead already. Well I could be dead if that trick of mine doesn't work. I kept my heart as calm as I could, but the anxiety was antagonizing me.

Quest Added: The Long Road Back
As you walk along the road towards the Golden Talon, one of the more major Avialan cities and home to it's governing Council, the road becomes eerily quiet. Somewhat... too quiet. That's never a good sign in a video game, because it means something bad is going to happen. And it does. From out of nowwhere, three darts shoot from out of a bush and into your neck. You can tell that they are poisoned, and the last thing you see before conciousness takes you away is a small group of Wilren children huddled around you. One actually pokes you with a stick.

--------

You awaken in a hut of some kind, tied up very tightly and securely on a... SPIT! Those awful children are roasting you over a fire. They seem to be preparing knives and forks, obviously savages, but then a Wilren woman comes in carrying a pot of water (are they making you nto soup?), sees them, and yells at them. Then she runs over, uses the water to put out the fire. "I'm teribly sorry. These children like to use my home, but I am in no way responsible for them. Idiotic Elders, telling their cubs all of these things about Avialans... anyway, I'm Terra, and I do apologize for these miscreants. Here, let me help you down." She takes out a small hunting knife and slices through the ropes holding you tight. "Not all of us Wilren hate Avialans you know. So, your name is?"

Claw-wing

The Argonian smiled. "Fast, aren't you?" She said with a smik. Claw-wing had no idea why though. Then she quickly grabbed a spell scroll from her pocket, held it up, and said the wrds on it, clearly memorized, casting the spell which appeared to be a wave of icy cold wind which caused Claw's wings to freeze up and his grip to release. She then delivered a spinning kick that went incredibly fast, knocked Claw out of the tree and onto the ground, and then jumped of and on top of him. Definitely NPC. Kelesta pulled out a knife then and held it to Claw's throat. "And I believe that puts me in charge now. So why don't you tell me your story?"

Nate/Mea

Nate beckons you along, and you head out, across the bridge over the river, and then away from the main road. Soon you reach the forest, and once inside find a cave to sleep out the last few hours of night. Upon awakening, you both leave once more, and make it to the main road. The Guards didn't get an accurate description of either of you, so you should be safe as long as you keep a low profile for a while. At least, that's what you think. While walking on the road looking for a town or a city, a Guard stops you both, shouting "Halt!" You are concerned until he arrives, and pulls out a piece of paper. Probably the bounty. And with no weapons too. All Nate could do was scratch that armor with his assassin's hands. But instead of reading out a bounty, it appears to be some kind of speech that he just couldn't remember mentally. So thick then. He says "Attention. The Countess of Velacruz has invited one and all to participate in her world wide scavenger hunt this season. Those who wish to participate for the chance at much gold as well as a rare sword and honorary knighthood in her court must meet with her in her court in three days. If you go, but do not wish to participate after hearing it, you may leave then, and you may gve up the search at any time. When the hunt is over, you shall be informed by a messenger." The Guard then walks away. A bit of a moron, but what he says is interesting, and it can't hurt to at least go look.

Misa-Chan yawned as she sat on a roof, flicking her tail back and forth. She had no idea what to do, so maybe some R&R would do, for now at least. She twitched her ears once or twice, walking to the ledge of the rooftop. She started to fall, yet, now, she was hanging upside down, starring at an empty room. She nodded, glancing at the table and seeing some goodies to take. An evil gleam shone on her eye, meaning.

"Time to truly test my abilities here..."

She pushed herself towards the window, jumping into the room and looking side to side. Seeing as there was no one in the room, she smiled as she walked towards the table, twitching her fingers as she reached for the items. Yet, unluckily, the doorknob started turning, causing her to stop where she stood.

"Hell... uh... think Neko Thief, think!"

She wasn't going to be stupid enough to give out her name during a thievery attack. She twitched her ears once again before backing up towards the window. Sadly, her bell rang, meaning...

"I'm screwed..."

---

Ryoruke kept running, the rain started to fall down even harder. He saw all of the animals either running away from the rain, or running away from himself. Yet, there was just one silhouette that walked up to him and let out a familiar "Nya". It may have been bigger and more humanoid, but something in his gut told him it was...

"Ri... Rina?! What are you doing here?!"

"Nya, nya you nya?"

Ryoruke blinked twice. Did Rina just say "you"? It sounded like a more womanly voice too, yet it was obvious she was having a hard time talking. He offered is hand, twitching his pinkie and his thumb twice. Rina nodded and twitched her ears twice before jumping up and landing on her front paws. Only one cat could know that this was the signal for standing on her back paws.. although here it would be her frontal ones, but anyways, only one cat knew this and that was Rina.

"Nya, nya that nya nya nya me?"

Ryoruke simply nodded, wondering what exactly she had said before starting to walk again, turning his head.

"Well, let's go get our little thief, shall we?"

"Ny-a!"

Ryoruke started running, Rina following close behind as they started to reach Cadon City.

Anna/Niali blinked groggily, temporarily unable to see after the bright light of the game beginning. Gradually, his eyes adjusted. It was strange, knowing you were suddenly the opposite gender, but fun as well. No one could possibly recognize her.

Still, his head was beginning to hurt from hanging upside down. He cast a glare in his captor's direction. Stupid oaf. He didn't know who he was dealing with. Slowly, so as not to make too much noise, he reached for the dagger. Acting carefully, he sawed at the bonds on his hands. Kyrre sat up and stretched, looking around him with interest. "Thank you," he said, addressing the Wilren woman. "But why aren't you helping them? Every other Wilren I've met have hated Avialan- and vice versa. Still, I'm grateful." He checked his inventory. Luckily, the small Wilren must have been intimidated by the Iron Cutlass, so they left it alone. And he still had all of his clothes. Unfortunately, they had taken all of his small amount of gold. He let out a rather nasty Avialan curseword, which the woman must have known, because her head went up and she stared at him, then returned to her work. He apologized, then asked, "Do you have anything that might help me reach Golden Talon? I'm a bit short on supplies."

The Wilren woman smiled and nodded. She crossed to a cupboard set into one wall. Inside were a couple of small daggers, a small pile of gold, a couple of bottles of light green potion, and a map. "This is what those rascals have robbed travelers of over the years. I have no use for it, so take whatever you need. Just leave something for the little ones to play with." She grinned, showing all of her feline teeth. Kyrre took one dagger, fifteen gold, a healing potion, and the map, which seemed to be slightly magical, for it had a built-in magnification spell. It was probably worth quite a bit on the magical market. As he stood up, though, his leg buckled beneath him, and he gasped in pain, his wings shooting out to support him and guide him to the bed. The Wilren glanced his way in worry. "Oh, dear. Your leg hasn't healed yet. We'll have to get you to Golden Talon in the next merchant caravan. You'll need to stay here until this evening, when the caravan comes through. They'll let you travel with them... for a price." The Avialan wasn't happy with that, but realized that there was no choice. The Wilren matron gave him a spoonful of some potion, and the pain vanished as he faded into deep, dreamless sleep.

As Elanus wandered through the city, he realized he didn't have any money. He checked his quiver of arrows. There were only a few left; and he didn't have any armor, either. For now, I'll just try to find a job, Elanus decided, I'm sure there are plenty of Avialans from my village here. Soon after he thought this, a voice called out to him from a tavern he was walking by. "You there! Come here." Elanus walked towards the voice, and he saw a short, plump Avialan in front of him. "By the looks of it, you need money, yes?" the man asked him. He nodded, and the man continued, "This is my tavern. Many ruffians come to it, and they scare away the customers. They usually leave after a while, but there's somebody who comes here every day for hours. Come in, I'll show you." The bartender led Elanus in, and pointed at a tall, muscular human character. "That's the one," he said. Elanus watched the human character take an enormous barrel of mead, drinking straight from it. "You're drinking all of the mead!" an Avialan character retorted. Another Avialan agreed, "Us paying customers will have nothing to drink!" "What was that?" the human character shouted in an intimidating voice. He walked over to the two Avialans, and knocked them into unconsciousness with his large fists. "Anyone else think I should leave?" The rest of the bar was silent.

"See what I mean?" the bartender muttered, "Take care of him in any way you see fit." Elanus began to think. There was no way he could beat him in close combat. Slowly, he took an arrow and readied it on his bow. "Hey, you big oaf!" Elanus yelled at the thug. The instant he turned to him, Elanus fired an arrow at the man. Whizzzzzz! The arrow sang right by him, and missed by a hair. Elanus cursed under his breath, and began to reach for another arrow. Before he could, the man already had delivered a blow onto his stomach. Elanus felt wind being knocked out of him, and was completely paralyzed for a few seconds. The man had an evil glint in his eye, and took out a long, steel dagger. Right before Elanus's throat was cut, he pulled out an arrow, and shoved it straight into the man's heart. He dropped the steel dagger, and fell flat on the floor. Elanus looked to the bartender, questioning if he was dead. "He's dead for now, but he'll respawn later. Thank you for helping me; you will be rewarded handsomely," the bartender said.

Later that day, the merchant train finally arrived. The Wilren woman ran out into the road, waving to the caravan leader. The merchant grumbled, but agreed to allow Kyrre to ride with the caravan in exchange for twenty gold. Kyrre reluctantly agreed.

Traveling with the caravan was faster than walking, and kept his weight off of his wounded leg. The Wilren's potions were working, and the wound was healing, but slowly. They were almost to the edge of Wilren territory, only a few miles from Golden Talon, when a small band of armed Wilren- adolescents, this time- jumped out from cover. Their leader, who had jet-black fur, addressed the caravan leader. "You are traveling through Wilren territory now. You need to pay a toll to pass. How about... seventy gold? We're doing you a favor- most highwaymen would demand a hundred."

Kyrre was angry about that. Why did those barbaric Wilren harass innocent travelers on the high road, when it was clearly against inter-racial treaty? He dug in his bag and found one of the potions. Strangely, it had gone a deep red. He turned it around and looked at the markings- 'Minor Fire Elemental. Use extreme caution.' On impulse, he threw the bottle at the group of Wilren bandits, where it shattered. A small explosion emerged from the bottle, and a miniature column of flame rose up, burning the Wilren. The bandits ran away, and the elemental vanished into the ground.

The caravan leader turned to thank Kyrre, but the Avialan had been knocked clean out by the explosion in his already-weakened state.

For Kyrre, everything was black...

The darkness begins to glimmer around you, and you find yourself floating in an immense sea of black. However, the darkness is slowly beggining to fade, and you find yourself lying in a soft, cozy bed. It appears that you have just respawned in the nearest town, just like the instructions said. As you look out the window, you can see many Avialans flying around, and the great golden spire of a castle that gave Golden Talon it's name, home to the baron of the land. It apperas you have made it to your destination, although you did it by dying. As yu check your belongings, you curse yourself. It appears that the merchant took all of your possessions, only leavingthe dagger you took from the Wilrens and the clothes on your back. You don't even have your quiver, and without any gold, it'll take a while to earn enough to replace your bow and quiver.

OOC: Sorry fokles, only have time for one right now. Be back after I finish watching E3 on tv.

OOC: Scratch that, I set it to record at 2:00 AM, not 11:00 PM.

The door opens, and a Shade slips through. You remember that Shades are thieves by nature, and this guy is obviously very good, as he's hording a ton of stuff. You try to get away, but unfortunately your bell rings. He turns around, grabs you, and shoves you against the wall. He slowly draws a long-bladed dagger (which you notice is stained with fresh blood) and puts it to your neck. You close your eyes as he draws back with it, and a good few seconds after you hear the swipe of the blade. When you open them, he has released you, and holds the collar and bell in his hand, cut from your neck.
"Keep it down you idiot! I was very careful to leave the little girl who lives here alive, but if you go around crashing around and she wakes up, then I'm going to have to kill her too or else she'll identify us to the Guards." Even as he says this, a little brunette human comes in and sees you. She gasps at the sight of the knife, and begins to run, but the Wilren thief swiftly catches up to her, knocking her on the ground and covering her mouth with his hand. The girl appears to be only five, too young to be a player character, so she must be an NPC. The thief sits on her back, and holds the dagger up to strike. You have to do something or that little girl is going to be dead. It's obvious from the bloodstains that he's already killed her parents.

Ryoruke

You arrive at Cadon with Rina walking unsteadily behind you on two feet. It appears that she has been turned into a Wilren by default, being a cat and all. There appears to be an angry mob outside of the gates to town, babbling on until one of them quiets everyone down and begins to speak.
"People, people, please settle down. I know you're all angry, but there is no reason to believe that this is the Neko Thief's work. May I remind you that we've got a different famous thief who we already know is in our fair city, the Black Fang of the South."
"But who else would kill Brayden?" A random guard cries. "We all know that Brayden is normally a peaceful Guard, and anyone but the Neko thief he would leave be. And the Black Fang leaves us peaceful Guards alone, just runs or knocks us out when we catch him."
"While this is true, we still have to prioritize. Aside from her grudge with Brayden, who respawned safe and sound in our infirmary, the Neko Thief is harmless. She's really just a prankster, takes a few belongings and then leaves. The Black Fang is much more sinister. He kills the people in the house he hits immediately after breaking in, but leaves the children alone, although he often kills them if they wake up. He's a very sick man, and we must focus on him before such petty thieves as the Neko Thief." Well, at least you know that she's capable of handing herself. Unfortunately, based on this new information, and the luck your sister sometimes has, she's probably robbing the same house as this Black Fang right now. You've got to find her, and quick!"

Nate/Mea

"Of course. Wouldn't miss it for the world. I love these things. They're just my style. C'mon, I know where this place Velacruz is. Wow this character has been around." Nate began to head in the direction of Velacruz. Hopefully they would be able to find the place in time, as it was pretty far away. Then you come across a stable. Perfect, you can just see if you can borrow a horse. You knock on the door, which slowly swings open. You go inside, and find the walls are smeared with blood. A man and a woman lay dead on the ground in front of you. It appears that someone didn't like the prices. This is confirmed when you find that two of the horse deeds are missing as well as two of the horses according to the roster posted outside on the fence gate. There's only one left. Since the owners are dead, the horse is technically a stray. Do you want to take it?

Honeyrose

Honeyrose walked out of the forest, taking her first steps into sunlight. She then took the small instruction packet she had been given out of her pocket and opened it, as she had been instructed to when she left the Rosewind Colony. It said

Honeyrose. Today, you have been sent on your quest to become a true Rosewind. As you have been told, you must find the Dragonwort in the place where it grows, and you must not fall in love with a man in the process. However, this wil be more difficult hen you can imagine. It is not truly loving a man that will strip you of power, but th ability to resist love. And so, should you kiss a man you love, you shall lose all of your power. But there is one more instruction that you must accomplish. You must travel to the nearest town, and find a man to travel with. The way of Rosewinds is very complex. According to ancient powers beyond our control, the Rosewind side of you shall draw you to your human side's soulmate, the man that she would be destined to spend the rest of her life with. Should you give in to that temptation, you will lose your Rosewind side. Should you resist it, then you will have proven thatnot only are you a Honeyrose in body, but in spirit as well, and your human side shall leave you. Good luck my daughter, and may you be warned. Not all will be as it seems. You may travel with many men and women alike, and any one of them may be your soulmate. You must excersize caution. Should you fall for any of them, nothing will happen, but if you do fall into the clutches of love with the one you call soulmate, it will become much more difficult to resist the temptation, and your heart will be sealed forever. Though this may be a good thing, to fall to your mortal side will lead to your being stuck as a human forever.

Misa-Chan saw a Shadow slip in, easing up to see it was a fellow thief, a pretty good one too hence he already had quite a few stuff. She started to sneak away, but the bell rang again, not too long before she get pushed into the wall and with a knife on her neck. She glanced down at the Shade, then at the knife, which had fresh blood. She closed her eyes, biting her lip as she waited, yet, the knife got pulled away, a few good seconds after hearing the swipe. When she opened her eyes, the Shadow was holding the collar in his hand, and he had left Misa-Chan go.

"Keep it down you idiot! I was very careful to leave the little girl who lives here alive, but if you go around crashing around and she wakes up, then I'm going to have to kill her too or else she'll identify us to the Guards."

"Well sorry! Not my fault I didn't know people lived he-"

She glanced at the door, only to see a little brunette girl standing there, starring at the knife. She gasped before running off, yet, the Shadow easily caught up with her, knocking her down to the ground and covering her mouth. Misa-Chan's eyes widened when the Shadow lifted his dagger, ready to strike the girl. Even if she is an NPC, she isn't about to stand idly-by while he gets ready to kill her. She ran up to him, knocking him down and pinning him against the floor. She looked at the girl, urging her too go already.

"Go on! Get out of here! I'll hold him back!"

She looked back at the Shadow, growling as she reached for her new sword if things got messy.

"You may be a fellow thief, but I never kill, no matter what the cost, unless it's to defend someone from jerks like you!"

---

Ryoruke and Rina finally made it to Cadon after a lot of walking. Rina was still not too accustomed to two legs, but she was starting to gain her balance. Ryoruke rose an eyebrow at the angry mob standing at the city entrance. He walked over, wondering what was up, until, at last, someone calmed them all down.

"People, people, please settle down. I know you're all angry, but there is no reason to believe that this is the Neko Thief's work. May I remind you that we've got a different famous thief who we already know is in our fair city, the Black Fang of the South."

"Hmm... so she is here... it wouldn't hurt not to look..."

"I see nya point... but nya listen to nya they nya to say, nya?"

Ryoruke sweatdropped and went back to listening to what they had to say. The instant this was over, the search would begin.

He's a very sick man, and we must focus on him before such petty thieves as the Neko Thief."

Ryoruke smirked. Harmless? They obviously haven't seen her in real life.

"She'd rip that guy apart if she heard him say that... knowing her temper..."

He blinked twice. If Misaki was here, and the Black Fang was here... and considering Misaki's suckish luck sometimes...

"Ten bucks she's in the same house as that Black Fang guy..."

He started running, Rina following close behind. Although he didn't show it, Ryoruke was worried. It may have been just a game, but if she respawned somewhere else, he'd have to start searching for her again. And after so long of searching too.

"She'd better not get her ass kicked..."

Kyrre got out of bed, yawning as he did so. He was in a rescue-house, one of the lodging-houses that housed respawned individuals until they awoke. Checking his belongings, he noted that the only thing he had left was the Wilren dagger. "Oh, well," he thought. "Maybe I can sell it for enough gold to buy a new bow and quiver."

Exiting the rescue-house, he made his way up the main road, which ran up the canyon after entering the main gates through the city's curtain wall. Along this road were many shops. He chose one at random- a weapons shop, but not one that offered Avialan bows. Only the Golden Talon branch of the Artisan's Guild produced those. He entered the shop and approached the shopkeeper, hoping to sell his dagger.

((Goods and prices, please. ^^ Oh, and that reference to the Artisan's Guild was a suggestion...))

OOC: Alrght, I'll add an Artisan's Guild. I have no problem with it. Plus I bet I could think up some pretty cool quests for that.

IC: Kyrre

The merchant smiles. "Welcome to my store traveler. Care to barter?" Oh great. A mindless NPC. In any case, you take a look at some of the stuff he has in stock.

Iron Dagger: 100 G
Iron Bow: 100 G
Iron Sword: 100 G
Iron Shield: 100 G
Basic Quiver-Holds 50 arrows, buy and get ten arrows free: 300 G
Iron Arrows: 1 Gold Each
Fletching Spell Scroll-Make your own arrows from sticks. Good for 50 arrows: 200 Gold (special today, ask the shopkeeper for details. Includes 5000 G rewards.)

You show the Shopkeep your dagger, and he smiles.
"Oh, yes, very nice. I can give you 75 G for that." After being asked how much a bow might cost at the Artisan's Guild, he says "Oh, I get all of my bows from there. You can get a good bow there for 1000 G. And that's by human standards. By Avialan Standards that bow is below average."

Misa-chan

The little girl is frightened to near death. She quickly crawls over to a chair and clings to it's leg. The Shade thief kicks you in the leg, allowing him to get up, but you quickly recover and face him. It seems that the only way to get both you and the little girl out is to kill this insane Shade. You draw your sword, and he wields his dagger. It will be a fight to the death. The only difference here is that an actual sentient life is at stake in the little girl. He swipes at you, delivering a cut to your side, and then spins, doing an intricate dance which each turn another blow. It appears he's toying with you, enjoying himself. Finally, an opening. He finishes his dance, and bows, apparently ready to finish you off, t with his head down, you can get at him.

Ryoruke

You look all over the city, but don't see Misaki anywhere. She mst be inside a building, but you can't just break in. It seems that you'll have to find some place where she'll most likely have to go through at some point, and hope she stays alive. Then you check out a map of the city hanging from a post. It seems there are only two ways out of the city, the North Gate and the South. The North Gate is where they're holding the Town Meeting you passed by, and Misaki can't go through there without being spotted. The South Gate, however, would not only be clear of people, but also unguarded because everyone was in front of the North. Perfect. There was nowhere else that she could go. You'll just have to wait and hope for the best.

Kyrre shook the shopkeep's hand and handed over the Wilren dagger. While inside the city, he wouldn't need any weapons. The Golden Talon was one of the safest citys east of the human capital, with its curtain wall, reinforced gates, and trained City Guard.

After accepting the 75g, he continued upwards, toward the Guildhalls. The huge square south of the duke's palace was where all of the many guilds had their Guildhalls here in the Golden Talon. As a member of a Guild, he could make enough money to buy a new Avialan Bow at the Artisan's Guild. But which to join? He looked around, at the impressive facades of the Mage's Guild, the Mercenary's Guild (sp?), the Bishop's Guild, and all of the others. Finally, he decided to spring for the Artisan's Guild. But as he began to stride towards the Artisan's Guildhall, he was stopped by a group of three robed Avialans.

"You must come with us," the tallest of the three informed him. Kyrre looked for an identification device, some symbol on their robes. Then, he saw it. A silver moon rimmed with strange letters- the sigil of the Mage's Guild. As soon as he recognized it, he went obediently with the three, obviously master mages. You didn't argue with masters of the Mage's Guild. They approached the huge main doors of the Mage's Guildhall, but shifted direction and entered by a smaller side door.

Within was a small chamber, built of the native golden-red stone of the region. A circle was inlaid into the floor in silver. The mages guided him within the circle, and they each pointed at the circle and spoke a series of words. The circle began to chime a pure, high tone and glow with a gentle light. The tallest mage looked at him and asked, "Did you know that you have some magical talent?"

Misa-Chan growled, getting pissed off from being toyed with. The instant the Shade bowed his head, she smirked, swinging her sword down at him.

"You're gonna get a taste of your own medicine, Mister Shade!"

Although it seemed like she was enjoying it, in the inside, she didn't want to do it. But, she wasn't going to let that little girl die. And besides, a thief can never show fear.

"Here goes..."

---

Ryoruke sighed, kicking up a rock, grabbing it in the air and turning it into dust in his hand. Misaki was nowhere to be found, so, the best he could do would be wait somewhere where she'd have to come sooner or later.

"Where would that be..."

Rina poked Ryoruke with her tail, motioning with her finger to come look. She was looking at a map of the city, waving her tail back and forth with her hand on her chin.

"What is it Rina?"

"Well... there appears to nya only two exits nya this town. The South nya, and the North Gate. Since we came nya the North Gate, and that's where nya meeting is, I doubt Misaki would nya through the North. We should nya in the South for her!"

Ryoruke patted Rina on the head, smiling before starting to talk towards the South Gate, urging Rina to follow, which she did.

"Well... let's hope Misaki isn't in too much trouble..."

"But you know her motto, "You can catch me all you want, but you can never put me in a cage! Never!""

Ryoruke chuckled, smiling as he looked up at the sky.

"You're right... no need to worry..."

One of the mages then smiles, and removes the sigil from his robe. Apparently it's... a stick on?
"I won't be needing that ruse anymore." He then takes an amulet from a drawer and puts it around his neck. The other two do the same.
"I don't know." The short one says. "He looks a little young, plus he's got the scent of good about him." You attempt to move, but the bald one points at you, and you're halted in your tracks.
"We have no choice." He says. "The leaders said that we had to get some fresh meat, and fresh meat we're getting. Besides, you felt that aura, he's got some real magic in his blood." The tall one then speaks to you again.
"Alright then boy, you are given two choces. The first is to join us in our little society. We are known as the Necromancer's Guild, and the dark arts are our game. So, I must insist that you accept this offer, because the second option is much less... pleasent." He doesn't have to go on, you get the picture, but he describes it in full detail anyway, lavishing the look of pain on your face just from thinking about it. Then he straightens up, and speaks a little more kindly. "So boy, do you want to join us, or do you want a very horrific... afterlife."
"Just be aware that there is no respawning if you choose the other way. You will be trapped in eternal torment." But, even as the fat one says that, you see that his finger has moved down, and you can move again. Unfortunately, you have no weapons, and would have to make a break for it to the church far ont he other side of the city to get to the Bishop's Guild. Necromancers wouldn't dare travel on to holy ground. You'll have t wait until there backs are turned, ut you might just be able to outrun them, especially if you fly.

Misa-chan

The sword falls. The Shade lies dead. What's done has been done. As you look towards the window, you see that the sun is rising past the clouds. It's time to go. As you look around, it appears that you snuck into the Baron's house by accident. In that case, that means that the Baron of Cadon is dead. You start to climb out the window, but the little girl runs over and grabs your leg.
"Please, don't go." She says in a voice that sounds much older than five. Unlike your first estimate, she seems to be around nine or ten. Then you figure it out. She's older than she looks, just smaller in stature than most humans her age, and she's also wearing baggy clothing which makes her look even smaller. "Please. I don't have anyone left. No one. I saw, in their room, he killed my mom and dad. We don't have any other family. Can't I please come with you." You try to shake her off and get out of the window, but she follows you out. Even when you get on the rooftops, she manages to follow you there as well. Wow, she must be one wild and rebellious little girl.

Before leaving, Misa-Chan grabbed her collar, sighing as it was cut. She needed someone to sow it for her. What's worse, she had that little girl following her everywhere. After a lot of walking, she finally decided to sit down to think it over. She didn't have any family left, and she'd probably make a good apprentice too. After about five minutes of keeping her hand on her chin and keeping her eyes closed, she came to a conclusion:

"Fine, I guess I don't have much of a choice."

She offered the girl her hand, smiling at her as she tilted her head to the right. She put her sword back on the sheath with her other hand, hence she didn't need to use them right now.

"Well, what's your name? I'm Misa-Chan also know as the Neko Thief."

She twitched her ears a few times, waving her tail back and forth as she waited for the little girl to answer.

OOC: Yah! I am here ^^;

Color=coding.

Allyson- Blue
Jade=What else Green

IC:What a nice day it was, it would have been nicer if Mr. Masano had actually accompanied his daughter on her shopping trip. Like her promised he would. With a sigh, Allyson was over it. After all, she was used to it after those long years. Ally walked the shop, green eyes casting glances over every product. Hmmm, clothes? No, she didn’t feel like that today. Not at all, Shoes was a defiant no. Hard to believe, she wasn’t into shoes, Give her a pair of flip flops and she was set. Now, as we all know a new game was out. Real Fiction. Allyson wanted to try it, of course she did. Anything to distract her from the constant business calls, and strange women entering the house. But, her father said he wouldn’t have his daughter turning into a RPG nerd.

(ooc: Hehehehe daddy look at me now)

so she pulled herself away from the game shop. But…when had her father ever actually entered her room? Really, would it be so hard to simply hide the fact she bought the game? Nope, and with that she entered the shop, scanning the shelves. Ugh, so many pokemon games, what kind of fool would play those?!

(ooc: and again I make fun of myself)

Making her way to the back, she finally found it. Real Fiction. Her hand gripping it gently, then laying it on a the counter for the employee. Instead the teen smiled and ran his hands through that greasy mop, or you could call it hair. She smiled, showing a full mouth of metallic braces. Pimples riddled his face, one of those greasy monkey boys. Yet he thought he as god’s gift to women.
The young teenage Masano’s green eyes rolled like marbles.

“Just bag the game..” Ally leaned forward reading the name tag that was pin, upside, to the boys shirt.

“…Jimmy” She said, quite annoyed.

The boy, or Jimmy rather, saw the irritation in young Ally’s eyes. Running the striped bar code sticker that they had planted on its side. A red light flashed and the price beeped up on the screen. Ally fished some money from her jeans pocket. Laying it on the counter, hands spread out. Of course, since the game was free, the 5 dollars lying on the counter was a tip, even though the guy didn’t deserve it. She was bored and feeling generous.
Arriving to a quite and seemingly abandon home, Allyson scaled the stairs running strait to her room. Opening the door and being hit by a wall of perfume, her room smelled so different from the rest of the world. But, it seemed as if more had been sprayed and not the kind she loved. This was one her Dad had gotten her. Walking past her vanity she stopped. A note was left among a jumbled mess of perfume bottles.

Dear Masano Child,
I needed some perfume and thought I might use some of yours. Your father said it would be fine. Sorry about the mess, the maid can get it.
Love,
Elain DePrive

“We don’t have a maid She-Devil” she stated to the Women who was seemingly dating her father. Though most likely they were in some hot air balloon over some river. Always how it goes on first dates with her father.
Setting the case which held her recent purchase, well you couldn’t call it a purchase. she ran her arms over the crowed desk, sending all kinds of papers to the ground.

“The maid will get it” she snarled wrinkling her nose.

Finally finding her laptop amongst the mess, she grabbed it and sat down on her bed, legs crossed like a pretzel. Slipping the shiny disk into the open compartment. The game sprang to life. Resting her hand on the control panel, she was instantly transported into the game.

Strange… she thought as she set to work on making her character.

When it was finished, the girl in front of her looked exactly the same. Like looking in a mirror, except the girl on screen was slightly shorter. Only slightly. It made Ally feel good to know she wasn’t the shortest girl of her age group. Even if Jade Hellborne, her new character, was only digital.

The little girl smiles at finally being acknowledged by you. "My name is Hannah Renke, but my friends call me Mouse." Close up, you can really get a good look at her. She does have the build of a thief. Slight body, long nimble looking fingers, small feet, etc. She's even dressed like you would think a thief does, a tan cloth shirt and pants, no shoes, and her hair cut short. Yeah, she'd make a great thief, and the fact that she has a nickname like that indicates she's already got some practice. "I'm a pretty good thief too. I sneak out of the house every once in a while and steal stuff, but usually another thief gets all the credit. Thanks for saving my life by the way." Then she frowns, clearly remembering that her parents are dead. She gets a tear in her eye, but then wipes it off and looks up at you. "With that Shade dead, I think your name will get cleared. Apparently you were getting a lot of blame for doing stuff that he was. I know it was him because every time I've been going to steal stuff lately, there he is, stealing. And don't think I didn't recognize that nickname, you're public enemy number one in these parts now. Anyway, they've been holding a meeting in the North Gate, but it'll be over in a few minutes. If people see you with me and then the scene at my house, they'll think you were responsible. Heck, they may think you're responsible regardless. So we've got to get out through the South Gate instead. C'mon, it's this way.

Jade Hellborne

You wake up in the bar with one heck of a headache. It seems you were up all night drinking, and the ale did not agree with your head. But, you notice that this barkeep is not a very good one. All of the lights are off, and as you look into the open door of the bedroom in this one floor bar/house, you see that he has gone out. There also happen to be a lot of valuables in there.

Kyrre shook his head. "No, I was seen by professional magic-testers when I was young, like everyone else. They said I didn't have magic." The mages laughed. "Yours isn't the traditional type. It lies more with magical artifacts and items. Have you had any interactions with magical items recently?" Kyrre hesitated, then told them about the incident with the Fire Elemental on the road. They nodded. "That elemental was only a minor one. Used by almost anyone else, the reaction would have been much less violent. We have teachers for your skill- Talismaniers, they are called. They can both magnify the powers of magical talismans and create them, although that takes much skill. We can offer you a guild membership, on the basis of our test. Do you accept?"

Kyrre stepped back, stunned. This was very strange, but still great luck. Magical talismans sold for large amounts of gold. If he could learn to make them, he would have a reliable source of income. Recovering, he shook the hand of the tallest mage. "I accept." The mage smiled. "Then, come inside, and you can sign the guild contract, and we'll send you to the Talismaniers to begin your training."
