for sapphire whats the team you have used to beat atleast 50 trainers?
Well, I don't think that they let you use legendaries. Sometimes I try to match the other pokemon's levels like if I'm competing in the level 50 matches I could try to use a pokemon that is also level 50 so we can be about evenly matched. Same goes for level 100 matches. Sometimes though I just fight with what Pokemon I have. Also you can't use items like potions and revives. You could also see what type pokemon most trainers use like if most trainers use fire type pokemon then you should have a water type pokemon with you.

I used at level 50:
Milotic (male) @ mystic water
Recover
Refresh
Hydro pump
Ice beam
Latias @ scope lens
Recover
Refresh
Thunder
Psychic
Metagross @ leftovers
Earthquake
Psychic
Pursuit ( for shedinja)
metal claw
I don't know about nature, and it is important to have a male milotic for attract, so that it is male female and neutral.
It isn't a great team but in my case it survived until the 70th trainer.

I am now trying to create the perfect team. There is a list of the pokemon appearing in www.serebii.net . If I find it, I will tell you.

He isn't exactly a legendary. He is just rare.
For now, I came to the conclusion that there are all the types in the battle tower. But ice type only as castform's ice form.

THAT WOULD BE CHEATING. You Might Level Up And Be Stronger Then Lv.50 If You're On The 50 Battles.

It's okay.
I think I found the types of moves you must have, but it is almost impossible to find the right pokemon that are adequate for both moves and opponents and I am getting sleepy. I think I will have finished it by tomorrow (my tomorrow).

Defeating the 100th is definitely difficult. As for the 50th, at least I have defeated him/her. But it wasn't an easy achievement.
I completed the moveset. Now I will eat, take a bath and go to bed. The team should be ready tomorrow at the same time. See you:happy:

Okay. It has two setbacks but I think it will work.
Skarmory @ Sharp Beak - Keen eye
Drill peck (egg move)
Steel wing
Air cutter/aerial ace
A move of your choice (check www.serebii.net/pokedex-rs/227.shtml to find out which moves can be learned)
Medicham @ Leftovers/Scope lens (something of your choice actually)
Psychic
Fire punch (egg move)
Shadow ball (TM)
Brick break
Lanturn @ Mystic water/Magnet - Volt absorb
Thunder/thunderbolt (TM)
Ice beam (TM)
Surf/Hydro pump
Spark/confuse ray/charge
1st setback: there isn't a grass move to beat swampert easily.
2nd setback: there isn't a ground move to defeat electic types easily, but Lanturn has volt absorb.
