Mixing Records

I have a Ruby game and I want to mix its records with my Emerald game.

But the lady in the upstairs of the Pokémon center said something like: "I'm sorry. The RECORD CORNER is under preparation" or something.

What do I need to do to get in that record corner?

I think you need a secret base in both games.

just progress with the in game story for a while and check at every new pokemon center, I can't remember which one, but you have to go to a particular pokemon center first before it starts letting you mix records.
