It's back again, and about time too!

Most of you know the format, but here's a refreshment for your dead cells :P Also, some new rules have been added.

- One question will be asked at a time. It'll be in this format:
Question #...
[Type of the Question > Sub-type]
The question will be here [Points for correctly answering will be here]
BONUS!: (Will not always be there; will have a point value, but is not required to be answered)
NOTE: If there are any other notes needed for the question, they shall be put after the points.

- Type of Questions can vary largely. It can be anything under the sun! From weather, to sports, to litterature, to even our very own forum; anything is up for grabs! Wait for your question type to pop up! I will try and research for questions of things that don't interest me; just to make it fair! :)

- Every ten questions, the question will be worth twice the points indicated in brackets! In case people forget, these questions will always be marked with a star. Ten-star!
example: Question #200*

- Do not edit posts. I cannot stop you, but, if you do, and I see suspicious plagarizing at work, I will not award you the points. Sorry =/;

- The quiz does not end. Well, it will when people stop answering. But, for now, it will go on for a long time!

- No flame wars, insults, or anything of the sort.

- Prizes may be awarded if people reach certain milestones. Maybe buttons for their signatures to prove they are very knowledgable or something of the sort :)

- Cross-Questions: This kind of question takes one thing from one category and another from another category and molds them together into one unique question. The categories can be as different as night and day; it can put together [TV] with [Animals] or [Women] and [Politics]! The possibilities? Endless. Because these are harder and require a larger span of knowledge, they usually score you more points.

- Have fun! This is a friendly competition :).

Question #1:
[Video Games > GameCube]
In the opening of the GameCube game "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem", which poet/author is quoted?
BONUS! What is the exact quote they took from the Poet/author?

Matt & Vulpix
01-17-2005, 10:48 PM
No one knew that? Well, the answer was "Edgar Allan Poe." I won't bother post his real quote, but it was something along the lines of:
"Deep into the Darkness staring,
Long I stood there,
Wondering, fearing, pondering."

Question #2-
[Geography -> World Capitals]
What is the current capital of France? [1 Point]

Now if that's still too hard, I don't know what's not.

Heh,his sister of course.

My fault for not asking for a reason :P Correct.

O can give to all; A can only give to A & AB; B can only give to B & AB and AB can only give to AB. As for + and -, - can give to - & +, but + can only give to plus. Therefore:
- his father couldn't give blood to him because A can't give to B;
- his mother couldn't give to him because she was AB and AB can't give to B;
- his sister could give to him because B can give to B and minus can give to plus.

Okay, so I mispelt his name a little ^_^ c(squared) = a(squared) + b(squared) is correct.
As for the bonus, it's incorrect.

100 (10 squared) = 2a(squared)
Divide by 2:
50 = a(squared)
Radical
a = radical of 50, which is 7.07.

Because it is isosceles, instead of a +b (squares) you can put a(squared) + a(squared) which is 2a(squared).

Find the error. It can be spelling, punctuation, wrong word, etc.

(2 Points) (Worth double!)

Meh... KM has it, but I want to actually correct the sentence:

The lovely dame entered her home. She went to the kitchen and turned on the light. Her beautiful kitchen was as clean as it was when she had left for work.

or...

I was aiming for the former, Matthew, so I have to give him the points. Regardless, you both did find the same error (in OPEN THE LIGHT), it's just you found another way to correct it. Like that, we have a three-way tie for the lead.

Well, it was a * question because I forgot to do one for #20. And because I think finding syntax errors is not easy, I decided to make it 2 points. Double that and you get four =/ This way, every tenth question will be 'important', I guess. You still take the lead, though.
