Hey, anyone have any tips for catching Relicanth?
Finding it that is, I'm not very good at wading around in pokemon too weak to level me up for an hour.

I have never seen one in the underwater of sootopolis. You should search between mossdeep and lilycove.

i have seen many relcianths and i would say just maybe bring a pokemon with the move sweet scent- i know that works on land but i do not know if it works underwater and if you encounter it try to put it a sleep or with a status condition and get its hp as low as possible without fainting and that should do the trick

They are really easy to capture. I captured 2 for my breeding experiment and also you can get them befor you get to sootopolis city

Not for me. He is both Rare and has low catch rate to me.

Put it to sleep and use a Dive Ball.
Not very difficult.

it does work underwater, in fact thats how i caught my relicanth

just buy many dive ball and it can catch a relicanth,,,,, just use dive in around the sootopolis city(the mountain with white rocks) and walk around the leaves underwater.... sometimes clamperl always shows up,, but don't lose hope, just exert some effort and you might catch one...

Dive in the dive spots near mossdeep, you'll find it eventually, it may take some time, but its not that easy to catch it so make sure you buy a significant number of Dive balls/Ultra Balls etc.
