What events have to occur before you can trade an emerald pkmn to firered?
And can you use a link cable or does it have to be done thorugh wireless connectors?

In FR you Need to:

Beat The Game.
Get the National Dex
Get the Ruby and Saphire.

In Emerald:

Get to the Battle Frontier!

I don't think you have to beat the Elite four twice.
