I know how much is needed to level up your pokemon, so don't try and post that as an answer to my question, my question is this:
How do you determine how much experience will be gained upon the defeat of a given pokemon at a given level????
I am trying to decide who will give the most experience for record mixing, but I was hoping that I could get some concrete information on how exp. gain is determined, so any help would be awesome.

Go to www.serebii.net. Select game mechanics and then experience. It says how experience is calculated.

I actually saw that when I was looking before, ....
....it doesn't actually tell you the base experience for any of the pokemon.

It is written in the pokedex.

I can't find it in the pokedex anywhere, maybe I'm just not looking in the right place,. if you find it and can somehow show me, or find anything else on this, maybe you can let me know.
Edit: I found in the D/P dex a number listed as "base experience", but that number is the amount of experience required to get to level 100, not usable to calculate how much you will get when you beat them... maybe I wasn't clear about that in my first post...

Sorry. My mistake. I can't find the base experience either. I confused it with the base stats.

I think it's kinda funny that serebii would give an equation to calculate it, but not list the base experience anywhere on there site. that is kinda screwed up.
