Awakening

"You have to wake up!

Everyone's counting on you, the world is counting on you.

I can help you, but you must wake up!

Please, save them!"

A mysterious voice...

Good Morning.
You’ve just awoken from a deep slumber.
A sleep unlike any you’ve experienced before.
A sleep so deep, so extended, you could almost call it comatose.

Actually, that’s exactly what it was.

You’re lying in a white bed, covered in white sheets and a thin white blanket.
Tubes are attached to every part of your body imaginable,
The beeping noise of a flatline is all you can hear.
Other than that, it’s completely silent.

You sit up in the bed.
You’re in an empty room with white walls and a floor of white tile.
You’re dressed in only a white hospital gown, tied at the back.
Hospital – is that where you are?

You look around.
Your everyday clothes are lying neatly on the bed at your feet.
There are five other beds in the room, just like yours.
And there are five people in them, dressed exactly as you are.
Your head is throbbing, and you suddenly hear the others begin to stir in their beds.

Slowly, very slowly, Lance's eyelids began to twitch.
They shook very softly, and gradually began to part from one another, after being closed for so long.
Lance didn't know where he was, and he didn't care. He just lay there, staring at the white ceiling above him.
Then, came the pain. It was a strong, intense pain that cumulated in the very back of his skull, but quickly spread throughout his entire head.
It throbbed and pounded like a drum being struck with reckless force, but Lance didn't move.
He remained staring at the ceiling - the blank, white ceiling - for a while as the throbbing commensed.
Eventually, he felt a tingling sensation as his other body parts began to awaken, and soon he could feel life all the way down to his toes.
Without warning, Lance sat up. His head insantly began to spin and the white walls in front of him began to change colors.
He colapsed back onto the soft matress out of fatigue and slowly drifted back to sleep.

Lace woke up a few minutes later, the pain in his head still piercing and harsh.
He glanced his eyes downwards and noticed he was wearing an oxygen mask.
Slowly, his right hand was raised to his face and clasped the plastic device. With a weak pull, it was removed from his face.
Lance coughed hard as the stale air filled his lungs and he began to feel lightheaded again.
However, he forced himself not to faint again and attempted to regulate his breathing.
Soon, as he began to calm down, Lance attempted to sit up once more, and this time, to his success, he didn't collapse.

He sat there, for a good while staring straight ahead. The reality of his situation still hadn't hit him yet.
Now it was time for Lance to take the next step. He slowly but surely moved his right leg, shifting it slightly to the right.
Soon, he had both legs hanging off of the bed and was facing to the right. It was then that he noticed other beds in the room, just like his.
He attempted to stand and had to catch himself from crumbling to the ground.
Nevertheless, he managed to stand and began to observe his surroundings.

That was when it hit him - the reality finally kicked in.
Lance wasn't at home. He had no idea where he was, as a matter of fact.
He looked down and found himself wearing a white hospital gown.
His surroundings were completely white. Everywhere he looked, there was something bright and colorless - from the walls to to the floor.
Lance then looked at the beds in the room. They were filled with people, dressed just like him.
His head began to spin again and thoughts poured in from every corner and crevice of his mind.
However one stood out amongst the others, like a black dot in a sea of white.

Where am I?

Welcome, everyone!
Sorry that I started the thread rather than WTS, who was supposed to.
I just wanted to get it going before everyone lost interest.
So, you don't have to post as long as mine throughout the Role Play,
I just thought it'd be good to start with a longer one.
So, yeah. Enjoy your adventure!
