First... Today's episode! "Exploud and Clear!" I thought it went okay, but it was more of less just another boring filler to me. The one thing that made my heart sing was watching Exploud smile. That was hilariously cute!

man, now i don't like Exploud/Loudred any more than i did. that thing is ugly. blah. :susp: and Grovyle... the new twig in its mouth is weird. i prefer Treecko and the other twig to the newly evolved version. Leaf Blade is cool though. :wink: The episode as a whole, it was alright, nothing too special.

Then, I thought it may be a typical fight between two Pokémon who are of a species that absolutely detests another specific species. (i.e. Seviper/Zangoose) I couldn't really find a justification, other than they were just battling.... Any other explanation?

well, they did mention that when a Pokemon evolves that it's character/personality may evolve too. it could also do with them both evolving at the same time,,, trying to show each other who's really better. at least, that's how i see it.

Well, maybe Jack's explanation is the only logical one then? That's why I don't like "filler" episodes... They do nothing for the series except knock down viewers. Geez... I can't wait until a good episode again.

Today's episode, Go Go Ludicolo!, was a little odd again, but better than last. The same style ending, though... Not knowing who won the battle.

No, unfortunately. It was another trainer, Pancho, and his Ludicolo. The episode displayed a new side of Corphish and Grovyle, though. It's obvious that at times, they don't like each other.

A Double Dilemma
The episode went pretty well. The whole battling thing with Ash was very funny to watch, and that Grovyle impressed me with defeating that Golduck. However, what concerns me is May's Torchic; what that attack Ember or did it actually start looking like a Flamethrower in-the-making?

i thought the episode was plain funny. Meowth as May and Wobbuffet as Max were awesome. lol. those townsfolk are too easy to fool.
the other part i liked was Ash battling May and Ash getting boo'd all the time. i never saw that coming. :crackup:

Everyone's crazy about Norman. It'll be interesting to see how he reacts when the gang tells him about that, if they do.

when I was watching the episode, I wanted to take a grenade, put it up each of the townspeople's spleen, and watch as they panicked before the bomb blew up. Man... those guys were IDIOTS... Seriously, the show needs to get some better characters; maybe bring back Tracy and Misty... Seriously.

Ya know, I was wondering, why is it that ppl in the Pokemon world are stupider that real humans :dazed: ? I mean come on! The only person in Pokemon that I've seen, who can unravel a lie and see a phony is Richie. How many times have you also sat at the TV and thought "If Ash and the gang can't tell thats Team Rocket, I'm going to explode!". IMO Wobbuffet doesn't make a good person :rolleyes: (all he says is one thing).

I noticed in a topic here about the Wishmaker movie:
People seem to think Max is too young to have a pokemon. Now, he is without question too young to *train* pokemon, or fight in gym battles, but I recall nothing saying in the anime that you could ever be too young to travel with a pokemon as your *pet* or something akin to being one. There are many children we see in the anime that 'keep' pokemon with them, some much younger than Max. Remember the preschooler and his Meowth?
So using this logic shouldn’t Max get a pokemon sometime? :eh:

Well, I agree with you. He should at least be able to have one, if for nothing else than to enhance interest in the show. Which one would fit him though? I think Poliwag was a good choice.

Anyway, on a side note... Have any of you guys ever witnessed political side-notes and background themes within the show? Earlier today in, A Balance of Power, I noticed that Team Rocket was talking about Outsourcing -- a very controversial topic. So, have you ever witnessed any?

Another time that I noticed where the writers screwed up was back in the Indigo league where officer Jenny told her Arcanine to use a flamethrower on team rockerts balloon, however she did not have an Arcanine she had a Growlithe.

Well, I remember one time in the Johto League Series (at the championships), when Misty stated that Furret was a bad Pokémon for Pikachu to battle because it was the ground type. If I'm not mistaken, isn't Furret the normal type?

I haven't notice'd the skirt before but the others I've seen too. In the PokeRap there are a ton of mistakes with images and pronunciation ("pid-jit"? Its "pid-jee-ot", what they'll do to rhyme). But I pretty much think the Seviper one is the worst mess up yet! So many young trainers out there trying hardly to get there Arboks to evolve.

I think someone needs to rewatch a few episodes, unless they (again) changed it from when Ash's evolved (I haven't seen Pidgeot since the 1st movie/last of 1st season), They have done that before. I always said "si(short I)-zor" but in the 4th movie they said "see-zor" so thats what I now say, but when CN had the episode with one in it the trainer said "si-zor"?! In my Pokemon handbook 3 it says "ah-zoo-mare-ill" which was how I said it but then I saw the episode with one and they call'd it "ah-zoo-muh-rill"?! Then there was in an ep "muh-car-go", ITS "mug-car-go"?! It seems that you can trust nether book nor TV so heres what.....I SAY "puh-tay-toe", YOU SAY "puh-tah-toe"! Say it how you wont, every body's right, every body's wrong (Although I HATE it when the British say "saynt-ber-nid", ITS "SAYNT-BER-NARD!!!! And thats not the worst of it!).

Well Meowth has been known to scream "Nyaa" (what it says in Japan) instead of "Meowth" in some of the earlier episodes when Team Rocket is blasting off.

Also everyone mixes up Growlithe and Arcanine a lot too. Cleevon Spielbunk says that he won the "Golden Growlithe award" yet the statue he has is of an Arcanine. Plus in a couple of early episodes Officer Jenny calls her Growlithe an Arcanine.

In one of the episodes with Blaine in it, Misty calls on Starmie but Staryu comes out instead.

In the episode "Just Waiting on a Friend" Brock said he used to have a Ninetales even though he never did.

Oh and in Pokemon 4 Ever, Ash's voice sounds really strange, more girl-ish than usual O_o;

Same here with Illumise! (unfortunately, my TV signal decided to be stupid when they did one of the intermission things so I couldn't here is name well, but what you said sounds right to what I heard). I always say though: "rie-koo", "soo-i-koon" (like suiside), "fan-pee", and at first I said "jer-a(like "at")-chee" until I saw the movie promo on my GC bonus disc, I also say "grun-bul" like how he says in the 3rd and 4th-(mini) movies.
Also in one episode, the gang goes back to the cerulean city gym, and Misty's sisters say hi to every one saying there names. Now every one says "but Brock never met them", I say look again, at the episode where Ash meets Misty, notice how Brock acts when Ash trys to get him to say more info about the gym leader! I think Brock knows Misty's sisters, probably through a gym leader network or something.
Oh, and one of the most common mistakes are color changes/wrong color. In the ep where May gets bulbasaur, in one part, Ash's shoes on and off disappear!

If your talking about the episode I think you are (Princess vs. Princess), Misty got Togepi before that one but, Togepi is NOWHERE! Also, to add the that, thats the one where Jessie gets Lickitung, I don't recall seeing him in any eps before that one? (Someone messed up big time!)

it was misordered in Japan as the princess vs princess was supposed to be aired on girls day but then came that porygon episode and they had to wait to air it.

T have a DVD of pokmon: The Ceruelan sisters ( forgive me if its wrong spelling ) you know the one where ash gets his badge, after that he goes and faces this guy named AJ who has his own unoffical gym, he had 98 wins 0 losses and he pummeled ash with his sandshrew (who btw can swim underwater!) and after that AJ gets 100 wins and goes off to collect badges, he told ash they would meet again but they never did!! i watched all the Kanto eposides and i never encountered AJ. Plus Team Rocket is annoying its so cliche and boring now, its a daily rountine.

- Team rocket come in with thier usual poem and steals pikachu
- Ash gets pikachu back and uses thunder/thunderbolt on team rocket to send them blasting off
- there's a twinkle in the sky and team rocket are gone.

AARGH its so predictable, its getting irritating.

that happens with everyone they run into... "Maybe I'll see you again sometime." but they won't see them again. it's just a way of saying they've become friends in the short amount of time.

ya, it would be fun to see AJ again. I will bet he's much stronger than Ash and has Sandslash by now. I can see the battle with Sandslash and Grovyle. :cool: that would be a good battle to watch.

Nup. I live in Australia. We were doing pretty well...keeping up with Advanced Challenge, we were even in front of the US for a while at the end of the season, but they still haven't started Advanced Battle here. It's been ages since Pokemon Heroes came out, too. I don't see why they can't get the movies released here earlier.

Magna Pacific are releasing Pokemon season 1 & 2 on DVD as season sets in Australia, on 10th May 2006. Each season set will include a limited edition collector's booklet and a bonus DVD of Pokemon Chronicles too.

Apparently PUSA tried to get Veronica Taylor back to do Ash but she refused cos she wouldn't do it without the rest of the old VA's. That must mean that PUSA thinks that the new voice actor for Ash is pretty bad too, right? =P

This morning I saw the episode where Ash battles Agatha in the Viridian Gym. (Yes, Australia's behind as usual.) And best of all, Misty returned at the end of the episode. I know she's not staying long, but it's better than nothing. ^_^

personally i don't think theyll get rid of may, but still... i liked may i mean she wasn't any thing like misty she wasn't afraid of bugs she wasn't always on ashes case. Last night I did watch some of "Problem with Paras", but got tired of it.

Pokemon Chronicles are a bunch of Pokemon episodes that are not about Ash.

There are a few about the characters from Gold and Silver, a few about Misty at her Gym, one about Brock's family, some about the origins of Team Rocket and the Pichu Bros. and stuff like that.

It was an awesome match I have to admit. I thought Charizard's Overheat was pretty cool and its Dragonbreath attack was too, it sure has come a long way from the Charmander days.

OMG I just noticed something! On Serebii.net, they just put up more new dub titles, and I got to thinking "how many more are there?" We'll, I looked at the guide page and guess what, CN is currently showing 4 new episodes a week (don't know how long that'll last), but Serebii's update gave enough titles for next week, but looking at the guide the new ones stop, at the Perap(sp?) episode! Will this mean we might know its name soon? I hope so.

I have a thought on the Battle Frontier episode Time Warp Heals All Wounds. It would be technically impossible for May to change time without creating some sort of Paradox, right?So I think she never changed time at all, but simply traveled to an alternate universe and stayed there.

Tonight I watch Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the sea. I thought it was alright, I mean they're pokemon movies so they have the cliche to them, but it was still pretty good. My only complaint is the pokemon rangers. Earlier this week I saw the Celebi ranger episode(name slips my mind) and I just can't stand pokemon rangers. I just find them too lame with the spinny things I guess.

In other news, there won't be any new pokemon episodes until the Fall. I figured that because at the way they were showing them, we'd be caught up with japan and that might not have worked out pretty well.

Actually, that's not a bad thing. They can have new episodes during the 'November sweeps' for that generates an audience, continue it to February if possible, and then show the next season of Japan's showings by this time next year. I mean with so many repeats or poorly reality TV series' during the Summer, this is the best time to watch the new episodes of Pokemon.

Now I understood what Ash Vs. Pikachu was all about: I had a theory that the old woman's PIkachu went off to evolve itself into Raichu after it felt like it let her down when it couldn't break those berries, and the woman's granddaughter thought of borrowing Ash's Pikachu to lift her spirits. I was worried at first the old woman would've been too attached, but she actually had a good heart. I'm glad things did work out as one can have cake and eat it too.:crackup:

I kind of notice on the Diamond and Pearl anime in the game that the Pikachu does look thinner, next to the Dragonite they thinned when FRLG came out. I guess there's no chance of PIkachu evolving now, unless Raichu was skinny.
