The reason why Beyblade doesn't appeal to me, and why I think Yu-gi-oh is much better is this: Yu-gi-oh revolves around the TCG Duel Monsters, which is an interesting an strategic game that I enjoy. But in Beyblade, they just spin tops...there's no way to control them once they've been launched; it's just luck. They may as well just rolling dice, it's meaningless, and there's no skill involved. That's what bugs me about it.

hmm so many bad animes so little time. I have to disagree on yu-gi-oh, I think its rather entertaining, save for lack of character development I think its done rather well.

I cant stand dragon ball in any form, Im o if youve seen one episode youve seen em all, just throw in different character names, it was good for a while, but now it needs to die. Beyblade is also rather lame, I can say I despise that show with a fiery passion. I can also say I hate blue gender, so freaking lame, so boring, I cant stand to watch it.

As with the card game, you can plan and prep but it's just luck of the draw once you get going. Same with Beyblade, people weigh out their blades for spin time and effectiveness, there IS skill involved. It's not just pulling the cord, it takes a while before you learn the angels and heights you should laugh a blade at. Both games do involve skill, but once in play it's luck more or less.

I don't care for Yugioh because if I wanted to watch a bunch of people commenting on the cardplay of two characters, I'd watch the world Poker tour. It wouldn't give me seizures either, unlike Yugioh. (I hate Poker, btw)

DBGT had its moments. But I've always been pretty predjudiced against it because of the fact that Toriyama-sensei had nothing to do with its production. It was little more than TOEI animation's sad attempt to milk more money out of Z. Come to think of it, I didn't care for DBZ nearly as much as I did DB... or at least the Japanese eps. If you watch the American dub, you're missing all the toilet humor and nudity, and thus you cut down the hilarity by 90%. >_<

Never saw Beyblade. Dunno how bad it really is.

Monster Rancher also sucked eggs...

Let us not forget Duel Masters.... *sigh* try to imagine YGO without anything cool (outside of the duels it's pretty interesting) and even dumber than the pokemon anime. Don't get me wrong, the first season was pretty good, I'm not biased against it, but... after seeing "The Spheal of Approval", I kinda called it quits. The show had become too childish, and the battles were horrible, anyway...

Sonic X, 4 kids screwed it up, and before they got heir hands on it, it was still WAY TOO MUCH LIKE THE GAMES! I liked the original SOnci the hedgehog cartoon from the early 90's much better. I LOVED it when I was little, it got me into the whole sonic the hedgehog craze, also the other worst animes are Yugioh and Shaman king, also screwed up severely by 4 kids, Digimon was good, especially season 4, mainly because ti was different from the 1st 3 seasons and Neemon was hilarious. Another crappy anime would be Pokemon, it went downhill after the 1st episode, it is the entire reason that people think pokemon is gay and for little kids.

I liked the Tenchi dubs too, for the most part. But I agree with Keeper_of_light, in most other cases. :/ I especially hate the dubs for the Ranma anime. :confused:

IMO, Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew both stink! They're just rip-offs of each other anyway. Basicly, they're just anorexic little pre-teens "transforming" into their frilly outfits to fight crime (which are usually things/people from other planets) and such. If they're supposed to be showing female independence, they're waaaaay off. It just portrays girls the way they want them to be. Plus, they always have to have some guy helping them out. That doesn't sound like female independence to me.

And Beyblade is so freaking stupid! I mean come on! Spinning tops? PFFT!!

By my standards, I think that because so many things are edited in the changes of the animes by 4kids then the two languaged shows should be called different shows altogether.

If what you're saying is "the english dub of Yu-gi-oh is the worst dub out there.", than I completely agree with you. But to say that its the worst animé is far from the truth, especially since don't know anything about the original version.

^ That's just one example of how much better the original version of the animé is...the writing in the dub is horrible.

The other thing is, which makes the series much better for me, is that I thouroughly enjoy the Duel Monsters CCG. If you don't like it, than I can see how the series wouldn't be as appealing.

lol... well, the dubbing is bad because maybe you're use to the more emotional voices of the Japanese voice actors/actresses. You can't really expect people that don't understand anime, to do good voice acting. It's not Japan, where anime is enjoyed by people of all ages. So I think the lack of understanding of anime by US voice people decreases the quality, a lot.

But back to the subject on hand... the worst anime? Well, if you have something translated poorly and dubbed poorly, there you go. I never seen the Yu-Gi-Oh in it's Japanese form, but man, the voice acting is horrible. The first time I saw it, I couldn't believe how the voices were done.

I didn't know about this, but I read this on many anime related sites... loyal fans of Card Captor Sakura were outraged how they changed the plot completely. Not changing scenes, but they actually changed the entire plot for the US version. I don't know, maybe they didn't understand the anime and just made it up themselves.

I can't believe so many people like it so much. I'd say it's a little corny, but the animation is Grade A Crap. And why does everyone hate Pokemon Animation so bad. I thought this was a Pokemon website. And why do you think the Kanto season was the best. I would say that overall the Kanto season animation was kinda bad. Ash's voice and Meoth's voice sounded awful. Jhoto was definitly the best. The Pokemon were good, and the animation and voice's were much better than Kanto. But then Honen's Pokemon started to look more like crap.

I don't know anything about Beyblade, and all those other anime series you people hate, so I can't really say anything about those... '-'

But I dislike Love Hina. If you want Love Hina, just read the manga. (which is my favorite manga) There are just way too many changes in the anime, and you don't even get to see grown up Shinobu... :/

I also dislike... ehh.. I actually dislike most animes out there.. ^_^' I'm kind of tired of watching it.. I only read manga now... sometimes..

Yu-Gi-Oh, yeah i was into it for a while, but now its just plain stupid. The manga is so mush better, it has emotion and personality, something they don't have in the Anime.

Dule Masters, I wacthed it once and it was so stupid. There is no emotion or qulaity in it.

I definitly agree with Tamer Marco. Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT, are definitly the worst. I mean, the shows been on forever, and the animation is crap. I can't believe so many people like it so much. I'd say it's a little corny, but the animation is Grade A Crap. And why does everyone hate Pokemon Animation so bad. I thought this was a Pokemon website. And why do you think the Kanto season was the best. I would say that overall the Kanto season animation was kinda bad. Ash's voice and Meoth's voice sounded awful. Jhoto was definitly the best. The Pokemon were good, and the animation and voice's were much better than Kanto. But then Honen's Pokemon started to look more like crap.

What the hell? You trash Dragonball - GT, and then praise Pokemon? Did I step into Bizzaro land or something?

Yami Marik on Pokemon: Why was the Kanto saga better? Well, it had far fewer crap filler episodes than in Johto, and I liked the gym battles better. The Orange Island battles were okay (especially against Drake

And let's repeat this weak, dumb-as-hell storyline over the course of the entire series! The shallow caveman personalities and character relationships don't help either.

LOL okay, I have to admit when you put it like that, the DB/Z/GT series seems a bit...well, repetitive and all. I still liked it though. I'm not much into it nowadays however. There's better anime out there for you action fix, like D*N*Angel or Arjuna.

Heh, pretty obvious you just plan hate DBZ/GT, as you claimed. It's a classic Action Anime for a reason, there's a reason it's been entitled the best Action Anime, and why it's loved by millions. Action Anime, guess what the key word is? That's right, Action. People love it because it's all about the action, there are eiposes where they actually take time off and do other things, as a matter of fact, GT is all about charecter development, as PE2K said. But it's an old school Action Anime, if it's not at least 90% kick ass, then it would have NEVER been a classic, reached the status it has today.

Hell, I'm just one of the millions of DB fans who enjoy super muscular charecters kicking butt and transforming, yeah it's damn cool. As for the generic grunting comment, every action Anime charecter makes some kind of noise when battling, for DBZ-GT it's the gathering of power sound, if you wrap your mind around the fac that you're generating enough energy to destroy an entire planet in your body, I bet you'd grunt alot too. There is only one word to describe DB, DBZ, DB GT: Cool.

Anyways, Pokemon is more repetitive than DBZ ever was. Just, instead of repeating nearly the same storyline over a series of episodes like DBZ did, pokemon instead repeats the same thing happening every episode. For I don't know how many years now, Team rocket has been trying to get pikachu, who was supposedly this rare pokemon. Although, don't get me wrong, I would like a pikachu that could 1hit KO a rhydon with one hit using thundershock, but seriously... every episode was teh same.

You see Ash and Co, something happens, rocket shows up, tries to steal pikachu, their plans quickly get foiled by some little stupid reason, and then they get zapped and "blast off again"...

Compare that to DBZ and well... nevermind, you just can't compare that to DBZ, DBZ completely outclasses it.

Like the guy above said, the grunting and transformations are fun to watch. THere's something about planets exploding and the thought of having energy capable of DESTROYING THE UNIVERSE would be awesome. I am compelled to watch.

BTW, do the bad guys ever think that destroying the planet they're on or destroying the galaxy/univers would kill themselves too?

And, why is it that starting with the Cell saga, EVERY bad guy can somehow regenerate their destroyed limbs and stuff?

lol, a dude after my own heart. As far as the regeneration, the villans have to be more and more capable of bouncing back from lethal attacks, you can't go on with a series and have WEAKER villians.

I'd have to say Teen Titans, (if it even counts as animé) as it is THE worst animated program out there right now; there's just no arguing otherwise. It's another account of what are becoming much-too-frequent attempts at Japanizing American television.

If not that, Puffy Ami Yumi. Big surprise being that it features the same insufferable pop stars who do the Titan's theme song. Although I'll admit the show does make me laugh at times just because it's so freaking random, that's trash-value, not sentimental value, so it still gets an F in my book.

The Yu-gi-oh dub is horrendous. The original version is really well done, and is especially interesting if you're into the TCG.

The One Piece dub is horrendous. I've not seen the original version, so I can't comment on it.

4Kids dubbed both Yu-gi-oh and One Piece. Don't complain about the series, tarnishing series that aren't all that bad. Instead, complain about the horrible dubs that 4Kids puts out.

well I guess it wasnt so much the fact that it was neccesarily awful, but the fact that it started out as a really freaking awesome anime and then slowly got worse and worse until it was so cliche that I couldnt stand watching it.

IMO its worse when the anime lets you down..with animes like one piece or duel masters you dont expect anything out of...and therefore it doesnt piss me off when they suck, I just dont watch them. But I came to expect great things from blue gender and it kind of crapped out on me..

Yu-Gi-Oh! - Sure, there are some pretty weird moments in the anime, but that adds to the comedy of it. The YGO TCG can be challenging when against players of higher skills. The whole game revolves around strategy from when you make your deck, to when you duel. Your whole deck can be made to revolve around a few specific cards or have no theme whatsoever. While dueling, you have to try and work with what you have in your hand at the time. Everything requires high strategic skills. The show is based on this game and there are plots thrown in with it. So it's not just like: "Hey, you. Let's duel!" "Haha! I win! Hey! You, over there! I challenge you to a duel!” It's not as boring as some of you may think. Heck, there are even some life-threatening situations in the show. (Though I kinda think the whole part with Dartz is just plain ridiculous...)

Dragonball - This show is just plain funny! It's not all fight, talk, fight, talk. There are actually some episodes where there isn't any fighting at all; only conversations and some comedy. And was I one of the few people who noticed the moral in it? DB shows that friends are really important and it would suck to lose them! (referring to the parts where Krillin and Chiaotzu died)

Dragonball Z - DBZ is just like DB, except with more fighting. However, did you know that some of the events in DBZ are true? If a person becomes extremely frightened or angry, they may achieve super-human strength? Specialists say it's because of the sudden rush of adrenaline. From what I know, it's proven to be true. As for the storylines, they're not as good, but still decent.

Yu Yu Hakusho (it was mentioned once here) - I have nothing to say except that it is an exceptionally good anime and if you watch it for a while, you will probably like it.

Inu-Yasha (mentioned once) - *same reason as YYH*

One Piece - It has comedy, action, suspense, and all the good stuff. What more could you ask for?

Rurouni Kenshin - RK has so many morals! It can teach people about self-control, love, friendship, training, determination, and many other things. This anime has all sorts of action and comedy as well. Sure, it doesn't have anything modern in it, but what do you expect?! It takes place in the beginning of the Meiji Era! That's the year 1868! And I don't think that there was anything like a computer or automatic gun back then!

I do not think any anime can be the "worst", only disliked. Heck, what you may consider to be the "worst" anime, I, or someone else, might think it's the "best". There is not a "worst" or "best" anime when it comes down to people's opinions.

I don't have any anime that I actually hate, so I'll leave it at this.

but seriously, it's just that I have to say that 4 Kids made a good number of the anime crappy. Dragonball, One Piece, and YGO were just mere victims of it. Meh, I hate when people say the dubbed versions of anime suck when they haven't seen the original version. 4Kids and Kids WB screw up so many good anime it's not funny. For example, Dragonball GT is actually very good if you watch the original Japanese version, but the dubbed sucks IMO. FUNimation has a habit of screwing over good anime as well, which is why the DB series on CN tends to suck so bad.

LD: Inuyasha kicks arse dude. Animation DOESN'T make the anime, just look at anime like Vampire Hunter D (the first one) and Lupin. They kick ass even though they don't look that great. All the chars develop: Shippou is getting braver, Inu&Kagome and Miroku&Sango are getting closer, Sesshy is getting more soft, how can these things NOT be developments of the chars? And the Panther Warrior Demon tribe WAS important, because you learn more about Inu's dad's past and the way Inu is worked into it and all. So please quit bashing what you obviously can't understand. And IMO, the voice acting was very good.

Yeah...GX is boring, the characters are pretty flat, the dueling is too simple (SO MANY FUSIONS), and the series doesn't pick up anything that could be considered a plot until after 20 EPISODES. ...and, by that time, its already lost most of its audience.

The dueling after 20 does get better...and thats the only reason I still pay any attention to GX.

Anyway, the plot in GX is very poor, but the dueling gets better as the series progresses.
