Know anything about the Pokemon Chronicles?

There's a section of the Pokemon show that revolves around some of the supporting cast of characters (like Prof. Oak at his lab, Ash's mom Delia, Brock's family at the Pewter Gym, episodes where some of the pokemon take off and have little adventures on/of their own, etc. etc.). I think people call them either "side stories" or the Pokemon Chronicles. I don't think they've ever even been shown in the United States. On the 'net, I've seen references to it being released in other countries. Does anyone have any idea if they have ever or will ever be released over here in the U.S.?
