View Full Version : The strangest thing I ever seen in Colosseum

I was having a link battle on Colosseum one day, and I had my Tyranitar out. My opponent sent out his Metagross, and had it use Earthquake. However, the game said "Tyranitar evaded the attack!" and it missed.

Does this make sense to anyone? We were both utterly confused at the time.

Oh my god

Have you never played pokemon before.

It happens all the time it just mean because their evasioness was high he managed to dodge the attack it is nothing speical so get over it.

I think it's pretty darn strange -- has his tyranitar got wings?

Flareon > :susp: Don't insult me, you're only making yourself look like an idiot. My Tyranitar had raised evasion? How do you figure? Answer that one, smart@ss.

Ashkelon > Last time I checked he didn't...

hmmm...
1)was the tyranitar holding BrightPowder/etc??
2)did u use DoubleTeam (etc), or BP an evasive stat??
3)any attack, even Swift has a .02 percent chance of missing. It is possible that kicked in; I speak from experience.

thats all I can think of... If not, than dont ask me...

also, Flareon; you shouldnt just discredit experienced trainers.

No, he didn't have Brightpowder, and I don't use DT in game.

I wasn't really demanding an answer, I just thought it was amusing.

That is pretty strange, but I think any attack that hits two or more Pokemon can miss one, for example my Swampert's Surf and Muddy Water attacks are often evaded by the opponents Pokemon. I've never seen it done with Earthquake before, but I guess it happens ^^

not to be a jerk i think hes lying because either its holding something or i dont know i think hes lying

'Zam's not lying. If he says it happened, it did.

To make something like this up would be pointless. To report a bug when it happens is worthwhile (and in this case amusing).

I would guess the bug is repeatable, but too tedious to bother with (so many stats, so little time). :sleepy:

At this point in the evolution of the game mechanics, what happens is very complex and even automated "cat in a box" testing is not going to catch everything that happens in "real life". I commend the level of QA at Game Freak, but then again, I'm a programmer and therefore suspect

Don't waste your breathe saying 'Zam's lying, you just make yourself look silly.

Heh..... all attacks that have 100% acc are really slightly under what it really is... I don't know why, but from what I see on line..... whatever... lol.

I find it funny as well Ala and those who won't admit that it happened are just.... I don't want to say... lol.

Have fun with your floating Tyranitar :silly:

It is kind of weird since the accuracy is at 100 and you did not have any attacks to raise your evasion. Oh well you should be happy.

Thank you, ashkelon. *_*

It is pretty cool though, as much as it doesn't make any sense to me.

*Tyranitar leaps into the air to avoid rock attacks*
