Calavaras fault--8:04pm PST. I heard like a sonic boom/rolling truck motion as the floor shook just a little bit. No damage in my area, we sit about 75 miles north, but the damage was felt all the way down south by Modesto. Haven't felt anything like that since the 1989 Loma Prieta quake. 5.6 on the scale.

Whee, I felt it. It knocked down some canned goods, and that was about it. My friend's window cracked though. ^____^
It wasn't a big deal.

It went up north to Sebastapol, east to Arnold, and south to Fresno. It was 5 miles underground.

To tell you the truth a 5.6 earthquake isn't even close to being bad. Its like safe kinda compared to other earthquakes. Well I hope you are all safe.

Hey, 5.6 is much bigger than anything I've ever experienced. :P

We don't get earthquakes here, but we do get hurricanes. >_>

Yea I have to agree with fullmetal on the fact that it was a small one, but at least everyone is ok.

The only faultline in my area is the Rodgers Creek, and San Andres is practically in the ocean. Hayward fault/Calaveras would more affect my region. Rodgers has been inactive so no worries. It sounded like a sonic boom with a little rumble, like a truck drove by, but the floor shook for like 1 second.
