Yggdrasil's History
Of all the great fables, one being about a special Spirit, that which has Five-Tails, one particular myth speaks of a legendary tree that stretched high into the heavens themselves, connecting the Earth and the Heavens together. That legendary tree, Yggdrasil, stood in the middle of the greatest island in a archipelago of small islands. The island Yggdrasil was rumored to be on was appropriately dubbed "Yggdrasil Island", named after the very tree itself. From the tree, the surrounding waters calmed, from vigorous crashing, to gentle waves. Green, fresh grass emerged from the ground, creating fields of grass. Thousands of flowers grew from the ground, creating the oxygen in the air. From the fields arose bunches of trees, whose roots traveled all the way down to Yggdrasil island, boosting them higher than any of the other trees in the world. From Yggdrasil's branches grew the birds and bees that would roam the islands. Yggdrasil took up rocks from the ocean floor and placed them upon the sandy beaches. Then, Yggdrasil extended four main branches, each pointing either North, South, East, or West.
From the South branch, Yggdrasil made that southern island hot, dry, and desert-like. The Southern branch created towering sand dunes that rose from the ground. Then, it created the first form of life; cacti. Then, from the leaves on it's branch, it created the Pokemon that would soon be it's protectors. It did the same with the North branch, but instead of creating a desert climate, it created a snowy one, deep mountain caves, and tall mountains, covered in snow, and shrouded in mist. From the leaves on the North branch, it created the Pokemon that would be the island's protectors. Yggdrasil did the same for the last two islands, the West a mountainous island, and the East one, a rain forest. The Western island grew gray and cold, it's craggy peaks reaching into the sky. The highest of mountains were sleeted with snow. A thick blanket of fog constantly covered the island. To the East, the forest island sprouted dozens of trees, which housed all kinds of life. The island constantly flooded with rain, making it the island with the most vegetation.
From the legends, the first beings of life came from that one tree, Yggdrasil. From each of Yggdrail' s main branches, pointing North, South, East, and West, each island that was in that direction was gifted with the life of Pokemon. They were nothing like the ones we know today; these beasts were just learning there powers. They were unruly, savage; And, they were learning there rightful place amongst the world. But, amidst the feral beasts, some became tainted with the thirst of power, and greediness. They demanded that the Sacred Ash Tree, Yggdrasil, show them how to correctly wield their newfound powers. When denied, they grew hatred for their creator, and turned their backs on Yggdrasil, becoming outcasts of their society. They fled to the very outskirts of the islands, in attempts to train and develop their powers on their own.
The legends then speak of a great battle ten years later, a war that waged for one thousand years, against the Defenders of Light, and the Forces of Evil. Only two living creatures survived, the legend says, by sheltering near the tree and nourishing themselves by the fruit of the tree. From the last two living beings spawned new life, great and small, weak and mighty. Now, the legends have been proven real, and the Forces of Darkness are once again rising, hoping to turn the tides in the final battle for the Earth.
General Plot
The times are dark, as are the skies. The Forces of Evil, also known as the Dark Ones, are gaining too many allies; they have too much support from Pokemon trainers. Small resistance groups have risen up everywhere along the coasts of Sinnoh, to try to thwart the Forces' plans on the islands, but the all get beaten within a few days. They soon return back to the Region of Sinnoh shamefully. Some well prepared groups have actually managed to defeat a few trainers, but normally, Resistance groups that go to the North Isle get beaten easily, ten to one. Most wild Pokemon that inhabited the islands were taken to the mainland, Sinnoh. The rest of the wild Pokemon on and around the islands are either fighting back, or tainted by the Forces' evil ways.
Now, under top secrecy, the Government itself has started recruiting people to join the ultimate resistance against the Forces of Evil, who are a group of Trainers, and, of course, their corrupted Pokemon, who actually believe that Yggdrasil poisoned the world by forming the islands, and making vegetation grow, claiming that it wasn't natural to force the grasses to grow, and the mountains to raise. Since the Forces of Evil now have human lapdogs for Trainers, they've grown even more dangerous. They only believe in destroying all nature, even if not by Yggdrasil herself, influenced, and maddened by ancient legends of old. As defenses along the coast strengthen, and The Resistance grows, time only need to past, for the Forces of Evil, and Defenders of Light to fight once again.

Somewhere along the West Coast, 5:44 PM
Even though it was the day, no sun shone through the mighty dark clouds on the Western side of Sinnoh. The waves were wild and rough; Sea-Bourne Pokemon themselves were struggling against the harsh waves, straining to survive. But that wasn't the only bad thing. Ever since the Forces of Evil teamed up with Team Rocket, they've been using Rocket technology. According to reports, they have created a harsh weather machine, which is what's causing the horrible weather. Because of the now harsher climate, the Police have established shelters for people and Pokemon alike who were threatened by the horrible weather a place to stay and rest. On such of the shelters is the HeadQuarters of the Resistance, where Suteki Kura now lives after his home was destroyed, and he was dubbed the Tactical Commander for the Western side of Sinnoh. Rain beat heavily against the windows of the Defenders HQ, as heavily as Suteki just sighed. Bored out of his mind, Suteki got up from his seat in the PokeCenter that was built inside Defender HQ, and walked over to a window, the closest window he could find, actually. Once again, he sighed; the window had perfect view of the ocean, and Suteki could see the enormous waves breaking and crashing against the beach rocks, making huge splashes on the beach. Leaning on the window, he could overhear a conversation with the Head Officer Jenny, and another official. Actually, they were speaking of some one they knew, someone named Eli, who would be stopping by soon.
Suteki reminisced about the day when he first came to the shelter, the Defender HQ; it was about three months ago, on a very stormy day, just like this one. Of the few houses that were destroyed in the fight with the small raid from the islands, his house was, unfortunately, one of the houses destroyed. His mother had fled the scene to the shelter long before Suteki's house was destroyed, but Suteki had stayed back, to fight of course, the Forces. Oddly enough, though, the Forces didn't send any Trainers, but instead sent several Salamence and some tough water Pokemon. Once the battle had been won, with no where to go, Suteki headed for the shelter, rain pouring on his head. Along the way, he had found the several other people who had lost their homes to the attack from the Force wave. Of course figuring the the Defenders HQ would be the perfect base of operation, he went there, in hopes of finding of members of the Resistance, and a place to send out Commander, his Honchkrow, his best (aerial) scout, and one of his best friends.
Suteki had always sent out his Honchkrow, mos of the time just to play some pranks on the Forces troops, and he always did it under the cover of night fall, there's no other way of doing it. Suteki then thought about the day when the Defender HQ gave him a special device for Commander, his Honchkrow, which went over Commander's right eye. It was a small device, with a red lens. With the use of a special pair of shades the HQ gave Suteki, it allowed him to see through the eye(s) of Commander, which is how he perfectly coordinates with his Honchkrow so well. The device for his Pokemon, the Beta version announced as the SSL, the "Super Scope Lens", also apparently allows the Pokemon's owner to understand the Pokemon speech, because Suteki has been able to translate information that Commander has gathered. The day Suteki received the SSL, was also the day he earned the title of Tactical Commander.

“Hang on tight there, missy!” the Captain ducked his shaggy head back into the safety of the small steering room and slammed the door shut. The sound, though, couldn’t be heard over the shrieking winds and pouring rain.
All around were the telltale signs of a storm. Heavy black rain clouds spewed their freezing waters down over any poor soul stupid enough to be in its path, lightning speared the skies in regular intervals and winds seemed to shake the very earth itself. This must have been the work of someone outside of nature, someone evil and stupid enough to tamper with the Gods’ jobs of weather and nature.
The boat lurched upwards, breaking over a wave and dipped back down again, water sloshing dangerously into the deck. Objects were taken up into the waters when the dingy righted itself again, and another chilling spray of mist feathered into the air.
Michalla clung tightly to the railing, eyes shut tight as she waited out another swell. She wanted desperately to go into the small, dry room. But hey, who could argue when she was getting a free ride all the way to the western coast?
“Duck!” the gruff voice that almost seemed to echo in her head called from the opposite end of the boat, where Lucario was holding one of the lifeboats chords to keep it from falling.
Michalla looked up just as the sound of terrible snapping ensued, and a creak howled above the relentless weather. The mast cracked loudly and fell, one of the ropes catching and swinging it around. She scrambled and slipped, falling to the ground just as the heavy wood whooshed overhead and smashed into the small Captains room. The wood buckled under the force and broke into pieces with ease and Michalla watched, helpless, as the wheel was carried away by another wave.
Overhead the storm lashed out with a tier of lightning, missing them by miles, but still sending an ungodly shiver down Michalla’s spine. She looked up and hollered, “How you holding up?”
Lucario winced, holding unsteady on one leg. The Captain did not reply from his crumpled heap of a room. Another wave of fear shot through her, “Michalla, we need to flee, this ship is going down fast.” Lucario finally said, “Get over here and we’ll take the boat!”
Michalla stood clumsily and fought her way over the debris and water to where Lucario was, “Are you ready?” she shouted over the winds, grappling at the other rope to set the boat free. With a heave, the small vessel dropped to the water with a loud splash and the two clambered in, “Captain!” she cried, hoping to see the old guy appear.
“He’s gone, let’s go!” Lucario snapped, helping Michalla push away from the sinking dingy. “And I don’t give much hope to us either…” they looked around, and saw nothing but sea and angry black clouds in every direction.

Suddenly, as the group was taking off, a large, blue sluggish Pokemon emerged from the sea, right besides the boat. On the Gastrodon's right eye was a peculiar red device, which seemed to be water resistant, for it didn't seem faced by the Gastrodon being underwater. It turned facing the coast, but he still kept and eye on the boat, which was holding a girl and her Lucario. Suddenly, a huge wave come out of no where from behind, but, fortunately, it was not the wild weather that had caused it; it was the blue Gastrodon, creating a giant Surf to boost the group towards the island. After riding along the wave for a few moments, even though the wave was slowly being fed by smaller waves, it eventually died out, leaving the small group still stuck out in the ocean. Thinking it saw the coast, the Gastrodon whipped up another wave, but, because of the harsh waters, even the Water Pokemon itself was getting warn out, and therefore created a relatively smaller wave. Even though the wave was smaller, though, it did carry them a good distance, and the coast of Sinnoh was well in view.

Michalla was too preoccupied to notice the Gastrodon approaching, she was more worried about the dangerous cracks on the bottom of the boat, a few of which were seeping large amounts of water. "I just can't get any luck!" she whined to the skies, cupping water and throwing it out to the side. As if it would help them at all. The first wave caught the two off guard, and Lucario lurched to his feet, hands gathering together and readying to attack with an Aura Sphere.
"I fear that we're not alone." he snarled, looking about in every direction. Great, just great! More bad luck for the two to handle. She glanced to her hip where two pokeballs remained, sopping wet.
Looking to the side, Michalla finally caught sight of the creature, and pointed it out to Lucario. There was a pause, and his ears shiverred on either side of his blue head, "If it keeps this up, I'll destroy it."
Another wave and a light gathered between his hands, then Michalla looked to the front of the boat and gaped, "Land, Lucario, it's taking us to the land!"

"Please don't kill my Gastrodon." Said a voice. The voice emerged from no where, to the girl and her Lucario, and naturally startled them. The voice then said, "Yes, the red thing on Terra can allow me to talk through it." Suteki said, Terra obviously being his Gastrodon. Whenever Suteki talked the lens on Terra, the Gastrodon, shook a little. "My name is Suteki. When you reach land, I will be there to greet you and take you to the shelter I am currently residing in" Thinking that the girl and her Lucario were wondering how Suteki spotted them, he then said, "I spotted you two while Terra was out on a scouting mission. I saw you were coming towards the Western shore, and figured I'd help you." He didn't know why, but whenever Terra looked at the looked at the girl, Suteki ended up blushing, as though the girl could she him too. Taking a risk, he finally said, "Oh, my name is Suteki, and that's Terra, my Gastrodon, like I said before. Your name?" Suteki moved the microphone that was attached to the shades he was wearing that were connected to Terra's SSL away from his mouth and breathed a sigh of relief; he was glad that he finally asked the girl her name. Fearing relatively nothing, he put the microphone near his mouth again, for when she finally told him her name.

Michalla gritted her teeth and glanced at the land still far ahead. She could only just hear the voice of Suteki over the roar of the winds and hum of rain. A sidelong glare at Lucario told her that she had no choice but to comply, she wasn't anywhere near a good swimmer. "The name's Chance," she said, using her pseudoname, how would this guy know? She turned to her rather worn looking partner and heaved a sigh, "Take a rest, Gods' know you need it." without chance to protest, Michalla had Lucario's ball out in seconds with the small monster shimmering in red before returning inside.

"Chance, eh?" Suteki said. "Rather odd name..." He quietly mumbled to himself. "Nonetheless...How far away are you from the mainland?" Suteki asked the girl. "You shouldn't be very far away from Sinnoh now."

Michalla looked at the land, then to the boat. Water up to her ankles now and still going fast. "About a mile and a half up, have that....thing...carry me out, lest you want to drag in a waterlogged corpse." she sloshed around in the small lifeboat and moved as close to the creature as possible.

"THING?! Why I'm gonna..." Terra yelled at the girl, but really at Suteki.
"Take it easy, Terra, we need all the help we can get for the upcoming fight we'll be in soon." Suteki said, albeit slightly mad himself. Diverting his attention to the situation, he said to his Pokemon, "Get 'Chance' safely to the coast." Thunder struck through the air, obscuring part of his speech. After a few seconds, his voice could be heard again. "Just put some strength into a big wave, and that should carry you to the shore." He said, "and make sure she lands safely, Terra, or you won't be eating for a week." The Gastrodon mumble inaudibly, but he still knew that Suteki loved his slug self with all of his heart. Then, an enormous wave rose about twenty feet away from them, instantly getting the girl's and Gastrodon's attention.
"Uh..." He uttered un-assuringly, "That wasn't me..."He turned around, screamed, and started pushing the boat as fast as possible. But, of course, th inevitable happened, and the tsunami of a wave swept up the pair up and hurtled them towards the shore at top-neck speed.

In a panic, Michalla reached out for the edge of the boat. She grabbed the middle red and white ball on her belt and pressed the button in the center. It chimed and expanded, "If there was ever I time I needed you, it would be now!" she hurled the ball into the air, it popped and in a flash of white, Sout appeared. Flapping his golden brown wings he lowered himself to swipe his trained up in his talons, effectively ripping the fabric and climbing back into the damp air. She sighed heavily with relief as the bird pokemon carried her towards the shore. His breath soon became laberous with effort and battling the dampness on his wings.

Meanwhile, Terra had submerged underwater to save his life. While underwater, he decided to ask around and see if an of the wild Pokemon would join him, his owner, Suteki, and other people in the Resistance, in the fight against the Forces of Evil. His first targets were a group of Tentacruel, young and restless, who were fooling around with each other using their tentacles (That sounded sooooo wrong xDD) "Hey, you Tentacruel, excuse me! I wanna ask you guys something..." Terra yelled to them. While swimming over towards them, he kept a watchful on the surface of the water, trying to keep track of the boat that the girl who called herself "Chance" was. Seeing that the boat had temporarily stopped moving, he quickly made his way over to the group of Tentacruel that he called to just moments ago. Even though Terra wasn't very far from the group of Pokemon, it took him a few moments to get to them, due to the overbearing currents.
-------------------------------------------
In merely around twenty minutes, Terra had gathered several invaluable allies for the upcoming fight against the Forces; the three Tentacruel he had first talked to, several Octilerry, a few Lumineon, a Gyarados, and a few Walrein. Feeling proud of himself, Terra headed for the surface of the water, but, of course, there was no boat on view. "Uh...Oh..." He muttered to himself, scared. After searching for a few minutes, he finally found the boat; with no one in it. Now frantic Terra raced towards the shore, only to be greeted by Chance and her Flying Pokemon.

Michalla landed in a coughing, heaping mass on the sands five or six feet below where Scout had dropped her, only to fly nearly a hundred feet away and perch on the beach and begin preening himself. Blood seeped down her back and into the sands, though it wasn't visible from her dark red jacket. Stupid Scout with his stupid talons. She rolled over to cover the stained sand with her back, and continue coughing. She hadn't realized how much water she'd swallowed over this entire period, and her already sensitive lungs burned the salty waters.
It was here she slipped between consciousness and darkness, eyes closing lazily almost.

Suteki, knowing that the girl had finally arrived, was waiting for the girl to arrive, but he was expecting the girl to be in such a bad state. Running over to the half conscious girl, he instinctively yelled, "Are you okay, Chance?!" once Suteki got to her, he leaned down and checked her wrist for a pulse. He found one, but it was slowing, and fast, not knowing what to do, Suteki starts to do (OOC: *Snorts*) CPR on the half-conscious girl, in an attempt to revive the girl fully.

Well now THAT was far from happening. Despite her rather battered state, the young vagabond found the strength to lift one arm and hold it between their faces, "Don't even try it pally." her hand dropped back to the sand and reached for the ball containing Houndoom. There was a flash and the large dog loomed between the two growling as he made way to help his trained up onto her feet. With a wince of pain, she withdrew Scout and turned to the man, Suteki. "Come on, we're doing no good standing out like this." strong for someone in their last vestiges of strength. Leaning heavily on Houndoom, who's growl would keep anyone or anything a few feet away, she looked to the man for lead. Hadn't he said something about a shelter?

All Suteki could do for a few moments was look away and blush. Soon, his Gastrodon, Terra, walked, er, slithered up to him. Suteki looked at him with a don't-you-dare-say-anything-look. Terra said nothing and crawled on by. "Oh, right, the shelter..." Suteki said, finally snapping back to his senses. "The shelter, which is also the Defender HQ, is this way." Suteki managed, while walking about ten steps ahead. Along the way, Suteki told Chance about the Forces, the Defenders and their HQ, which was also the shelter, and the upcoming battle between the two that would be coming in a few days.

Michalla didn't make a pause in her steps, but her heart hammered for a brief second. Defenders Headquarters? She was saved by a defender? A sickening knot formed in the pit of her stomach and the desire to smack herself was almost to much. As they walked, she listened with feigned interest, as if this were the first time she was hearing about it, and continued to lean heavily on Houdoom.
There was a distant part of her mind that was jumping for joy, this was exactly where she needed to be. But most of her felt just the way she always did, sick to her pitiful stomach about being where she was. She glanced back as Suteki was speaking and gazed over the wide sea before them, the churning waves and whipping winds making her skin tingle with the dried on salt. All the while the cuts on her back screamed for needed attention with the salt and sand that would infect it if she didn't have Lucario look over it soon.

Michalla flared back up, and Houdoom rumbled beneath her, "I'm a strong, indipendant woman, once we get to shelter I'll be set and off before the morning." there was a wall behind the wild green in her eyes, one she always hid behind. "Are we almost there, I need to check out my Pokemon, then myself." the last part was said under her breath so that the wind covered it with ease.
She paused and worked for a second to take off her jacket, with its salty crusting rubbing uncomfortably on the gashes, it left her almost completly bare from the hips up! That thin leather top sure didn't cover much..."Much better." she finally breathed.

IC: Suteki turned around and started walking he same way again. Before he could say anything, a large Honchkrow come from the North-East, with a small flock of Bird Pokemon behind him; several Noctowl, a Pidgeot, and some Staraptor and Pidgeot. With a smile, Suteki turned his SSL Glasses on with his right hand, and with his right arm, he made a small perch for his bird Pokemon. Landing softly, the Honchkrow, who had the same device on his right that the Gastrodon had, actually started to speak, his speech being translated through the glasses Suteki had own. The Honchkrow, later to be identified as Commander, said, "As you can see, Commander, (Ironic how Commander himself calls Suteki that), the recruiting mission was a success, I have recruited several bird Pokemon." He finished with a gesture towards the Flying Pokemon, who cawed at Suteki as a form of a greeting.
"Good." Suteki said, looking at all his new allies. "It looks like we have enough allies to fend off the upcoming attack. We'll shelter them in the HQ, and prep them for battle." Carefully and casually picking up his Honchkrow and sticking him on top of his head, Suteki started walking towards the Defender HQ again. That is, until Commander had stopped him.
"Wait!" Commander blurted.
"Hmm?" Replied Suteki, once again stopping.
Commander turned to the girl, and pointed directly at her, and then said, "Who's the babe?"

As Suteki spoke with his companion, Michalla turned to Houndoom and squatted down. Looking the fire dog right in the eyes, "How ya holding up? We'd be there if someone wasn't taking so long." amusement flared in those understanding eyes, and Houndoom's tail wagged a bit. He gave a little rumble and Michalla stood just in time to hear the bird's comment.
There was a pause, and Michalla leaned down to shisper something in the dog's ear. Wordlessly he slipped out from under Michalla's hand and padded off into the open. There was a moment of silence before Houndoom let out three long flamethrowers upwards into the air, one after the other. She watched in silence until he returned to her.
Gnashing her teeth, she decided to ignore the comment, "Can we press on, please?" she shot, starting forward again, "This rain isn't good for anyone." whether or not Suteki decided to follow 'Chance' was up to him, she was going on.

Thunder crackled in the distance, and the winds and rain became heavier and heavier. Soon enough, the group were eventually in a sprint. During one particular, Commander almost lost his ride. Soon, the shelter was in clear view. "

The, rather odd group, were now so close to the HQ, that the noises inside seemed almost audible. The shelter looked a lot like most other shelters, with a square foundation, and windows all over, but this shelter, which was also the Defender HQ, was, naturally, different looking from normal shelters. First, the HQ was about three stories taller than normal shelters, with a large satellite perched on top of the building. Second, the building was much larger, being able to hold many people and Pokemon, and also the normal-sized PokeCenter that was placed in the first level of the building. Lastly, the Defender HQ is much more technologically advanced than normal shelters, but that was an obvious one, hence the large satellite up on top. The shelter was facing towards the ocean, and the enormous shadow it cast almost reached to the water of the salty sea itself. Lightish blue in color, and easily visible over the trees that surrounded the city, the HQ was a sight for sore eyes to any Defender of Light Pokemon, and to any Trainer who was part of the Resistance. Resistance. The shelter was also the home base of the Resistance, of course. In the HQ, Trainers of the Resistance were fitted with things like the SSL that Suteki had gotten, ranks in the battles against the Forces, and, of course, a home to sleep and eat in. Peering through the windows, the boy, girl, and slug could see several refugees of the Resistance whose houses had been destroyed. "Well, we're finally here." Suteki said, opening the door to the HQ, and gesturing Chance to go in. He followed, with his Gastrodon close behind him. Once they got inside, Suteki and Chance immediately heard the chatter from Resistance members, and the Nurses and Officers.
Once inside the HQ, you can, and will, see the full interior of the building. It was littered with large amounts of benches and sofas in the middle, and to the right of the building, there was a small cafeteria. On the left of them, was the Pokemon Center, where the Nurse was just done checking out a boy's Pokemon. "Well, if your back needs medical attention, she's the only one around here who can do anything about it." Suteki advised. He had not said anything about the top three floors, which were most of the time, to people, restricted, off limits. No, Suteki wouldn't take his chance with the girl until he had a positive understanding of what side she was on. She seems too eager to get out of this place...And what was that whole thing about with the Houndoom breathing fire? Was it some kind of...Signal? Suteki started thinking, as he remembered the events from a few moments ago.

Michalla didn't wait for any sort of introduction from Suteki, instead zeroed in on Nurse Joy and ambled away. She ignored the awkward stares from patrons around her, what a sight she must have been! Waterlogged with hair that looked like it had gone through a tornado. Though in a sense, it might have. All the glass windows seemed to make her nervous, jumpy even. When she reached the counter where Nurse Joy was situated, she handed over her the only three pokeballs she had and looked around for a place to wait.
-----------------
It was almost twenty minutes later that Joy returned with her pokeballs on a tray. Michalla took them without a word, and asked her for bandages for herself. Once those were recieved, she opened all three balls and out popped Lucario, Houndoom, and Pidgeot. They shifted and looked around almost uncomfortably. Did you lose your bag in the storm? Lucario asked in Michalla's mind. When she didn't answer, he shook his head and breathed a sigh, A room full of defenders, puts me on edge...

Can you sense Him? Michalla seemed more on edge than she'd been before. It was another half hour later, and she sat with drooping eyes and her back to the giant windows. Lucario sat cross legged staring out over the ocean playing with small glinting lights from his Aura Sphere, looking overly serious as was usual. Houndoom lay sprawled over the couch, his head rested in his trainers lap breathing deeply. Michalla's back was bound in tight bandages from Lucario.
I cannot. But he is safe, I assure you. Lucario didn't look up, just kept up with the little flashes. One....three....five....two....four....
It's not him I worry about, but these people. You know as well as I that innocent Defenders can die if we don't create control. She was scowling, watching with an unwavering stare each time Suteki passed into view. As well as innocent defenders, there's a certain feel for the one that saved my life.
And which one are you talking about?
Michalla looked to Suteki when he passed by once more, and made a motion for him to join them.

Suteki was walking by Chance when she saw her gesture at him to came join their conversation. As he turned and walked towards the group, the front doors screeched open, and a Weavile with a scratch on it's forehead gem came running in. The one to make the gestures this time, Suteki gave the girl the one finger, as in "Hold on a second." He turned towards the Weavile as it came screeching to a halt. Leaning on one knee, he bent down, getting around the height level of the Weavile, and kicked up a conversation with it, turning on his SSL shades. "So, what's up? Any news?" Suteki asked the Weavile, which was obviously his, and, therefore, also had the SSL lens on it, but on the left eye instead of the right, like the other two of Suteki's Pokemon. The Weavile nodded as to say "Right", then did.
"Right." it said, it's voice translating to a soft, yet rough voice. "Scouting went ok; no problems at all. I had no trouble out there." Pausing to look around the shelter, the Weavile then said, "I guess Commander brought in some allies?" Suteki nodded yes. "Alright then, I best be heading out again." And with that, the Weavile vanished out the door, to go scouting, and to look for some allies.
"That Weavile..." Suteki said in a loving, brotherly kind of way. Turning his attention back to the awaiting girl, he then said, "Oh, sorry about that! What did you want?"

Eli, who'd been watchiong all this play out from afar, ran towards the building the people had gone too. they probably had food, something he was out of. he needed something to eat and, after years of sleeping outside, a bed would be nice too. his pokemon also needed to heal. Eli knew he only had two choices: he either had to suck it up and go be...social or he could wander for about a month and die. the first option seemed a little better. Eli made his way to the building and went inside. he had infernape walking with him in case his presence was unwelcome.
"hello?" he said

Michalla was just about to speak when Eli stepped in. She didn't notice him at first, though, "I just wanted to say th-" the voice rang above the crowd and Michalla nearly jumped three feet, a violent chill running down her spine. Though she tried not to show it. Lucario's ears perked up and Houndoom's eyes opened. She quickly recalled the two, Scout having already been recalled, and turned to Suteki, "Real sorry sir, bathroom break!" she stood and all but ran for the most out of sight area she could find. Dear Gods' she though, Him, here, now? she about wanted to rip her hair out, of course he would be there! But of all people! She continued to look for an escape route that wasn't the front door when she glanced out the window and saw three almost untraceable glints of light on the beach. Geeze, this night was getting better and better.

Only half conscious, Eli just managed to see michalla out of the corner of his eye before she dissapeared. "Hey...Why are you running...away..."
Eli hadn't known how tired his body really was. he collapsed and infernape caught him.
"Infernape..help me up..."
Infernape helped Eli. Eli turned to the man michalla had been with. He wondered who it was, but he didn't really feel like talking when he didn't need to. instead, since noone really seemed to be noticing him, he went and sat against a wall and decided he would wait for Michalla to come back, if she did. he recalled infernape. "You've earned a good rest too"

Suteki sighed. Well, an ally is an ally. he thought to himself. He turned to the boy, who seemed like he was five seconds away from collapsing. "You must be Eli." Suteki said to Eli. Naturally (Damn I use that a lot >.<), Suteki would have figured that anybody would have lifted their head up, but, in Eli's case, he was exempt. Continuing on, Suteki then said, "I've heard about your coming, and I'm glad to have you as part of the Resistance." Seeing now was not the time for that, Suteki offered, "Hey, stay a night, get some food, and a good night's sleep. On Thursday, two days from now, we will be having a fight with the Forces, and I want all the Trainers to be training their Pokemon tomorrow. Not really mandatory, but very helpful. Come contact me if you want anymore information." With that, Suteki waved for some Chansey to come help the boy, and went off to the elevator, escalating to the second floor to do some work,

Michalla was near panic, her heartbeat thrumming loudly in her chest as she looked between the beach and Eli who seemed to tired to care that she was there. He wouldn't attack tonight, would he? she found herself asking, fiddling anxiously with her hands while she watched Suteki make towards the elevator. It wasn't until after the doors had closed that she wished she'd spoken with him.
Fleeing out the front door now, Michalla found herself retracing her steps back to the beach. The light grew brighter as she approached, leading her towards it until it faded altogether when she hit the sandy beach. "Rael, what are you doing?" she near screamed as she ran to them. "My signal, why aren't you heeding the signal?"
She was almost blind in the darkness and quickly found herself sprawling headlong into the sands when a dark figure swept her legs out from under her. She struggled to her elbows and looked to the Ampharos and the small squadron of rather large Pokemon at its back. "And you obviously didn't get mine." snapped the voice of the man who'd tripped her.

OOC: Ooh, mysterious! xD
IC: From his official desk upstairs, Suteki noticed the flare go off. "Huh, that's strange." He said aloud, talking to no one but himself. The flare had distracted him easily, but he had quickly turned back to his work. Suteki turned away from the window overlooking the ocean using his wheeling chair, which was part of his office. In his office, he had a desk, of course, a computer, designed for things like organization and researching, a file cabinet, many office supplies, an organizer, and a black mini-fridge, which sat in the corner of the room, right next to a small sofa. Whenever Suteki was out training, or anything else, who was in his office, doing work for the Resistance. The work included making sure the Pokemon were properly fed, trained, and sheltered, keeping track of the Resistance groups, Resistance meetings, and, of course, his most important job, which was why his title was Tactical Commander: head of the Militant and Scouting missions. Terra easily covered the Militant part, and while he could scout using water, that was Commander and Scar's (OOC: Changed Crown's name to "Scar") job, though only Terra could scout through water.
"Alright" he said, checking his e-mail, to see if he had anything from the Heads of the Resistance. "No, no, no," He said, scrolling through e-mails, and finding nothing, "just junk..." He then perked up after scrolling the page down. At about the 15th e-mail marked the name of the Head of the Resistance; the title: "Urgent News" Suteki, fearing what news was yet to come, he hesitantly moved his computer mouse, and clicked on the e-mail. Leaning closer to the LCD screen to read the e-mail carefully, he started to read each and every word aloud, to himself, that is. The first part of the e-mail talked about the upcoming battle in two days, praising Suteki and his Pokemon on how well they had recruited the ally Pokemon. But, suddenly, he after reading the second part, and his face grew grim and pale. Suteki then revealed what exactly the dreadful message had said. Starting somewhat far from the point, he read:
"Secondly, the reason I e-mailed you explains the meaning of the title. I have had threats from the Forces Head that they will be fighting to the death. As much as I resent this drastic behavior, I cannot change how the Forces will be acting, and, therefore, everybody needs to be prepared to fight to the death. Tomorrow I would like for you to announce the news to all of the Resistance members." And the e-mail ends.

As the downpour continued, Brendan sat anxiously on the back of his Tropius. "Whoa there!" he informed the Pokemon, who was flying swiftly through the dark, damp sky. Brendan looked down, and couldn't help but gulp. "Slow down, I'd like to get to the headquarters in one piece!" The boy, no older than 14, was a member of the Canalave City Resistance. Brendan was of high rank; he was instructed to travel to the Sinnoh Resistance Headquarters by his superiors. "Wait, I can see something out there!" the boy informed his Tropius. "Land here." As the Tropius began its descent, Brendan loosened his grip on the Pokemon's neck. He thought of his family and friends back in Canalave. Were they safe? Had the Forces of Dark taken the city?
Brendan leaped off the back of his Tropius; they had reached ground level. He opened his backpack, shading it from the rain. He scanned the contents inside. A spare jacket, some Pokemon food, a small GPS locater, and a wrapped parcel. He picked up the food, handing it to his Tropius, who gladly relieved Brendan of it. Next, he turned on his GPS, and checked his postion. "Well, it says this is the place," Brendan told his Tropius. "Lets check it out." As Brendan walked up to the tall building, he noticed the large satellite dish on the rooftop. "Oh yeah, this is the place alright," he said as he returned Trpius to its Poke Ball.
Brendan was relieved to be indoors. He settled down on a soft, warm couch, and unzipped his jacket. He saw a makeshift Pokemon Center to his left, and rushed up to the counter. "They need a good rest," he informed the nurse, as he handed her two of his three Poke Balls. "Can do," the nurse replied, taking the Poke Balls. Brendan spotted a cafeteria, and decided to grab a bite. "Alright Quilava, let's eat!" he said as the Pokemon appeared. The Quilava nodded, and followed Brendan to a table. "Stay here, I'll get us some food," Brendan told his Quilava, who in turn nodded. "I'd like a slice of pizza, and some Pokemon food for the Quilava," he said to a woman at a counter with an assortment of menu choices. "Coming right up," she claimed. Brendan turned to the main room of the structure, looking at the dozens of trainers and Pokemon, all presumably needing a shelter or members of the resistance. "Here's your food, sir," the woman said as she tapped Brendan on the back. "Oh, thank you," he complimented as he walked back to his table.
The boy took a seat at the table next to his Quilava, setting down the delightful food and taking the wrapped parcel out of his pack. "What is this thing anyway?" Brendan thought as he unwrapped the mysterious package. Brendan expected to find a weapon or communicator; inside were three strange eyepieces, and a pair of odd glasses. Attached was a note, which read:
"Brendan, if you are reading this, then you have presumably arrived at the resistance HQ. They are expecting you, and you will meet an officer soon enough. Attached you will find special goggles for you and your Pokemon, Super Scope Lenses, they will prove
invaluable to you."
Brendan was dumbfounded at the note, as it did not describe who, when, or where he was meeting, as well as how he would meet. Also, he was intrigued at the goggles, and was anxious to learn more about them. Wihtout any thought beforehand, he attached the strange device to Quilava's eye, and put on the glasses. "Not to be rude, but staring at that food is making me hungry." a voice announced. "Did my Quilava....dit it just....talk?" Brendan though out loud. "Earth to Brendan, I'm getting hungry, my belly isn't going to fill itself!" the Quilava impatiently demanded. "O..K..." Brendan managed as he handed the hungry Pokemon a plate of food, who wolfed it down in a matter of seconds. "It must be these goggles," he exclaimed. "Yeah, this thing is starting to itch," the Quilava began. "Can you help me take it off" "Uhhh...sure..." Brendan mumbled. As he took off the Quilava's and his goggles, he was still somewhat amazed.

"Don't do this, why can't you just heed what you already promised?" Michalla stood to her feet with a tone that bordered on begging, "You promised that you would steer clear so long as I'm there anyway."
Though she couldn't see him, she could sense Rael's scowl from the darkness, his tone belying his common impassive attitude, "I don't give the orders, hun, I just carry them out. You think I want in this suicide mission?" Ampharos's tail lit up and spilled a soft yellow lights over the muddy sands. Rael was tall, regal, dressed in a tight fitting black garb with a white collar. His face was handsome, but dark and shaded over with a visible resentment. His hair was jet black, blending easily with the clouds covering the night skies above.
Michalla frowned and her gaze fell to her feet, anxiously scraping the sands, "Give me one day. Think about it," she said, speaking quickly, "If you destry the main HQ, they'll just go make another one, and we'll spend another eternity looking for it. Let me see what I can't get out of them before you go and rip it to shreds." she turned to leave, not giving the young general time to respond before throwing over her shoulder, "Line your troops with strong electic forces, they have air and sea coming in from either side."
-----------------------------
The doors slid open and Michalla poked her head inside, big green eyes scanning the open area for any signs of Eli or his blasted pokemon. When no signs of them could be found, she pulled out Lucario's ball and with a pop, set him free. They walked in silence through the crowd and found an empty couch. With a heavy groan, she plopped down and snuggled into the cushions with Lucario sitting cross legged before the couch. She was asleep in seconds.

Ron tapped the side of the boat, bored. He had seen enough of the great expanse most called the ocean. It seemed that his very ice blue eyes were reflected in the sky, which was then darkened and somehow spread out to become the ocean. He wasn't boat sick, oh no. He had overcome that within the first few days of his small makeshift boat rocking on the waves. No, he was bored. There was nothing to do on a boat. A sail was up, and, luckily, the wind was blowing the right way.
Suddenly a star lifted out of the water, and the top half of a crawdaunt came into view as Pottinger gasped for breath. He was a strong and determined swimmer, however, and dove right back in, pulling at the rope that was tied around him. The other end of that rope was tied to the boat. Ron had done the same for Chain, so that his small, somewhat lightweight boat could most as fast as possible. He looked up at the sail, where a small krabby sat atop. Suddenly is let out a small small, and jumped down to the floor, rocking the boat a little bit. The krabby didn't weigh much, however, so they were safe. Or so Ron thought.
Krabby pointed a claw in the direction of the bow of the boat, directing Ron's attention to what was happening in front of him. He could clearly see the strong winds that blew every which way and the waves they whipped up. Now that was odd. Why would there be such a sudden change in weather at one point? Ron quickly returned Krabby to his pokeball, but hesitated, not knowing whether to let Pottinger and Chain keep swimming or not. They were tough, he decided. Tough enough to stand a hurricane, even though this storm wasn't quite a hurricane.
The winds hit his little boat hard. They ripped at his sail, breaking it in two and taking the sail and wood that it had been hanging on with it. At least it meant that Ron no longer needed to go to the dangerous task of taking it down in a storm. Instead his sat back, clutching his bag of provisions. He had nothing to cover him. When he had sailed east, he never expected there to be so fierce a storm, and this was all that he could make.
Ron wondered, what had killed his father? Had it been a storm, like this, or something far worse? He couldn't imagine anything worse than this at the moment, and he hadn't a clue why his mother had told him that sailing east was a good idea. Surely she didn't know of these kinds of storms, or she wouldn't have told him that this way would make everything clearer. He couldn't imagine how a huge storm could make anything clear, as it left his head pounding.
Pottinger and Chain swam on, like the loyal crawdaunt they were, and Ron hoped that he could survive another day.

A small ping came over the small room that Suteki called his office. Soon, a female voice said, "Sir, Brendan is here. He was one of the ones you promised to talk to." It was the Nurse Joy, who had spotted Brendan when he had given Joy his Pokemon.
Quickly replying, Suteki called, "Thank you, Joy." Then, Suteki closed his e-mails, and headed out of his office, towards the elevator. Once in the elevator, he clicked on the "1" button after the door had closed.
PING!
The elevator, destined to floor one, started going down. The rushing feeling you get when moving in an elevator cleansed the boy's body; he had grown used to feeling, having spent many hours up on the third floor. Just as quickly as the elevator music had started, it then stopped, and another ding echoed on the small area. Once the doors were open, Suteki had clear vision of the room. Stepping out of the elevator, allowing it to close, he turned around a corner, which led to the right side of the cafeteria, which had a few customers in it, one of them being Brendan, Suteki made his way the boy he had assumed was Brendan, since the description had fit that boy; a "young male Trainer who had a Quilava". Walking over towards the boy, Suteki looked down at him, and said, "You must be Brendan. I gather you've heard about an officer talking to you. Well, here I am."

Brendan, somewhat surprised, diverted his full attention to the man in front of him. "Yes, that is I, and, yes, I have been asked to meet with you," the boy started. "The Canalave spies have successfully entered the Forces, and have reported some crucial information, worthy of the resistance leaders hearing it." Glancing around the cafeteria, Brendan noted the tables filling up. "Shall we...take this somewhere else?"

Suteki lead the boy around the corner, to the elevator, up it, and too his office on the third. Opening the door with a special hand scan, which only took his hand-prints, Suteki offered Brendan a seat on the sofa as he headed for his own chair. The lights turned on by themselves.

Taking a seat, Brendan found himself nervous, sweaty, and anxious. "Where to begin..." he thought. "Alright," Brendan started. "As you know, our spies entered the Forces without difficulties. According to their reports, the enemy will swoop in from the ocean, overrunning key port cities." As the boy spoke, he noticed numerous objects and gadgets around Suteki's office. "Canalave will take the brunt of the invasion, as well as the surrounding beaches. The armies of Dark have been ordered to kill any and all civilians who stand in their way, as well as all resistance members, hostile or not. Also, we have learned of numerous spies in the resistance movement, it would be wise to watch who is recruited." Taking a breath, Brendan relaxed on the sofa. "Also, the spies have learned that they will raid any and all shelters, looking for resistance members, and taking prisoner all inside. That is all."

And, I have a very important task for you." Leaning forward, putting his elbows on the top of his knees, he told Brendan, "Alright, Brendan, here it is..." He paused for a moment, as if he wasn't sure what to tell Brendan. Finally, he said, "Brendan I want you to fly back to Canalave City and be the Head Commander in the fight. From what we know, the Forces won't attack until Thursday, in two days, but in case they launch a surprise attack I want you to be ready. When you return, you will have a reward waiting for you. In the meanwhile, I'll send some workers to make a mini-base for you guys. Brendan, I'm counting on you.

Ron clutched the little boat desperately. It wouldn't do much good, he knew, even with Pottinger and Chain pulling it. He couldn't do this. He knew that he would never survive out here in a storm like this, in a small boat that now had no sail or anything to tie a sail to. As quickly as possible in a bad storm, he untied the rope that held Pottinger to the boat, and pulled hard on it. Pottinger's head came out of the water abruptly, and it was easy to tell that it had been planning to make quite a few unsatisfying noises. Ron pulled Pottinger into the boat, untying the rope from around its waist and pushing him to the back of the small boat before it could do anything. Taking hold of the rope that held Chain, he started to pull the knot out of it.
Quite suddenly, though, the boat was lifted out of the water, the fierce winds finally finding a grip. Ron's hands slipped, leaving the rope knotted. He only had enough time to grab Pottinger before the boat was tipped, and he fell. Falling was an odd feeling. In those moments before hitting the water, Ron could only think of what his father must have been like. Seconds seemed to drag to minutes. It seemed like the fall was a lot longer and farther than it really was. He opened his mouth to scream.
That scream never came. Ron plunged into the water, the saltiness filling his mouth. He felt like he was still falling, though. At long last he stopped, but he couldn't get back up. He didn't want to open his eyes for he knew the salt was everywhere. He thought he was done for. That was until Pottinger started swimming again. Ron never knew how the crawdaunt did it, but somehow he managed to keep up his strength after all this time and pull Ron to the surface. When he felt his head clear the surface, he took another breath. This time it was air. He opened his eyes, and salt water dripped off his eyelids, but he didn't care. Pottinger had saved him.
Ron looked all around him, but couldn't find a trace of Chain. He saw bits of driftwood floating around, but not Chain. The winds must have tossed the boat, with Chain, to the water. The impact had been enough to turn his little boat to splinters. Sure, Chain had a hard shell, but would the force dent or even break it? He couldn't only hope that Chain was safe, and find land, fast. The splinters of driftwood were far too small for Ron to even think of trying to float on, so he held on to Pottinger for dear life.
Ron, now searching for land instead of Chain, saw the shores of a distant island and breathed a sigh of relief. They were getting closer. Pottinger was still swimming strongly, and, although he had lost his pack of provisions, his boat, and Chain, Ron knew they would make it. Hopefully there would be people on this island that could help, and hopefully Chain would somehow find his way back to Ron. Everything would be alright, or so Ron thought.

"Sir, I will do what is asked of me," Brendan replied to Suteki. "I will inform the residents to barricade their doors and windows, and arm themselves if needed." He paused for a moment. "Well, I'd best be on my way," Brendan decided, rushing out the office door, stepping onto the elevator. Hastily, he pressed the button to go down to floor one. Once there, he rushed into the cafeteria, where his Quilava was still sitting intently, eating his food. "We haven't any time to waste, we're leaving." Before it could even look up at the boy, the Quilava was returned to its Poke Ball.
Brendan hurried out the door of the shelter, feeling the water sdrenching his clothes. He called out his Tropius, who let out a roar as a hello. "Alright Tropius, I need you to fly me back to Canalave as fast as you possibly can," Brendan told his Pokemon. "Oh, I almost forgot, put these on," he added, putting on his own SSL Glasses as well as the Tropius'. "What is this thing?" the lumbering Pokemon asked. "They'll help us communicate, and we can see through each other's eyes," Brendan responded. Leaping on to his Tropius, Brendan grasped the neck of it. "Hold on!" the Pokemon said through the Super Scope Lenses.
As Brendan's Tropius carried him through the air, Brendan himself was growing exhausted. Although the dark, gloomy storm clouds blocked out every bit of light, he could tell night was rapidly setting in. "How are you doing, Tropius?" Brendan asked. "I'm alright, but I can't fly much longer." the Tropius admitted. "How far are we from Canalave?" "About 30 miles." Brendan replied, taking a glance at his GPS. "I can do that," the Pokemon answered. The day was gone; Brendan felt the nighttime chill against his body. He knew that the Tropius' goggles assisted with the dark, but Brendan began to lose sight of the sky around him. The last thing he saw before dozing off was the reasuring face of his companion.
Brendan awoke to his Tropius' translated voice-the two had arrived on the outskirts of Canalave City, near the local resistance headquarters. "Good job Tropius, now get a good night's rest," he said, taking off the Pokemon's Goggles and sending it to a Poke Ball. "There it is!" the boy exclaimed, spotting the building which served as a makeshift HQ. Cautiously, he walked towards the abandoned building, calling out his Quilava to make sure he wasn't being followed. "Brendan, you know I hate water!" it cried out, feeling the rain on its warm body. "I know, but our HQ is just up ahead, we'll be warm and dry inside." Brendan reasurred his partner. Walking inside, he felt the walls of the seemingly abandoned house for a hidden door. Upon pushing on a certain spot, a board fell, revealing a stairway that let underground to a door. Brendan typed in a passcode into the door's security system, which unlocked it. On the other side, an intricate system of underground tunnels was occupied by hundreds of resistance members, dozens of rooms, and even more Pokemon. Brendan hurried down the crowded hallway to an open doorway, and walked through. "Welcome back, Brendan," a voice greeted.
The voice was coming from a man a few yards in front of Brendan, and was the voice of the local resistance leader. "Have a seat, son," the man named Seb called out, pointing out a chair. As Brendan relaxed with his Quilava at his side, Seb was interested in hearing what Brendan had learned. "Brendan, how did the meeting go?" Seb asked curiously. "It went well, sir," the boy answered. "The officer has requested that I lead the defense," he added. "He has sent workers to build a real base for us, and we need to begin taking precautions, warning the citizens of Canalave and the nearby beaches, and preparing our men." "Well, normally, a boy your age would not even BE in our resistance group, but, you're different Brendan, and I have decided to appoint you as the leader of our defense group," Seb responded. "I will tell the resistance members to start preparing the civilians, and will ready them for the upcoming battle. In the meantime, you need some rest, soldier, I've prepared a room just ouside of this one for you." Thank you, Seb," Brendan replied, and headed for his quarters. Inside, a sofa, desk, and small table adorned the damp, musky room. Soon after sitting down on the soft, warm sofa, Brendan fell asleep, his Quilava in his lap.

A small crackle echoed throughout Suteki's office as he tried to contact somebody to to go build an HQ in Canalave. Sending an e-mail to the Seb, the leaded of the resistance HQ in Canalave City, saying that the HQ wouldn't be built for a few weeks, he also included that several top construction workers are on their way over to Canalave. Suteki, finished with the Canalave HQ matter, wheeled his chair over to the window. A few Resistance members came, running in from the rain. "Man, we have too many allies; there's no way we can lose Thursday's battle." Suteki said aloud, though just talking to himself in the progress. The boy laid back in his office chair and sighed, for he was bored out of his mind. "I've got nothing to do..." Suteki mumbled to himself, half wanting a sneak attack from the Forces to brighten up his boring day.

Ron sighed as finally got to land. Pottinger looked worn out, and was grumbling as they walked on. Ron knew that Pottinger needed a rest, but he didn't know what would happen on this strange island. Suddenly his ice blue eyes caught sight of something. It was a building, or rather a group of buildings. One looked different than the rest. Preferring unique places to uniform ones, and deciding that there might be someone there to help him, he made his way slowly to the door. He pushed against it, letting himself in. The warmth immediately found him, and he let out an audible sigh. Pottinger seemed to be a little bit happier, even though he loved water. Ron, spotting nurse Joy, finally returned the crawdaunt to his pokeball and apporached the nurse. Handing over two pokeballs, he remained silent. He wanted to say something, but no words came to mind. Trusting that nurse Joy would take care of Pottinger and Krabby, he moved away from the counter.
Ron, having lost all his money to the storm, sat down at an empty table. His stomach grumbled, but he didn't have any food, and couldn't get any. His face was set, too sore to turn up in a smile. He let out another little sigh, but this one was not of relief. He twiddled his thumbs, bored. There was nothing for him to do but sit and wait for nurse Joy to care for his pokemon, and then find a way to eat, and then continue on his way. He was starting to wonder if his mother had been right. Would coming this way really make everything clearer about his dad? He sure hoped so. Otherwise, he couldn't imagine why he would come all this way and go through all that boring travel, risk his life to a storm and loose everything he had except two out of three of his pokemon. Putting his head in his hands, he let out another breath. This was all so confusing for him.
(a few minutes later)
After what felt like hours, Ron heard nurse Joy's voice again. Standing up from the table, he quickly retrieved his pokemon. Releasing one after the other, he saw that they were all right, and that nothing was wrong with them. Deciding that they shouldn't start traveling again until after the storm, he looked around for someone to talk to. He wanted to ask them a few questions. Seeing no one that was probably of great importance, he made his way to an elevator. He wanted to see the other floors of this place, not just the first one. Pressing the button for floor two, he waited.
Ron didn't find much on the floor two, and definitely not anyone who could tell him anything about the place. So, returning to the elevator, he pressed the button for floor three. This time he listened to the elevator music, but not much of it as the doors slid open. Stepping out, he glanced down hallway. He knocked on a door, but didn't hear anything on the other side. He tried to open it, but it was locked. Moving to another door he did the same thing. He continued that until he came to a door with a hand scan. Assuming that only important people would have a hand scan, he knocked on the door, and waited. He would just wait a little while, though, before moving on.
-----
Chain opened his eyes. There was water all around him. Of course there would be, he had fallen into the sea. He remembered what had happened so vividly, it was like he was going through it every second of his life. The winds had picked the boat up, Ron and Pottinger had fallen out, but he was left hanging by the rope. More wind, whipping him around. The rope had snapped, leaving him to fall to the water. Then, when he had emerged from the water, there had been a great crashing sound. The boat had been smashed to splinters from the horrible winds. That could have been him. Could have been, but wasn't.
Ron, though, hadn't seen him fall to the water safely. He had probably seen the boat and thought that the same had happened to him. Ron! Chain swam to the surface. Taking a breath, he looked around. The winds kept up, but there was no sign of Ron. He was gone, lost forever from Chain. Diving back in, he was extremely saddened. He had never thought of his relationship with his trainer as strong, but now he realized just how strong it was. He hadn't thought much of it until it was gone. Too many humans he had known did that, but he never thought that he would be that way.
Chain swam, confused as to where he was and where he was going. He made a random turn, as he had been doing for a while, and found himself face to face with a buizel. The buizel was scowling, and a flame seemed to burn in his beady eyes. Chain hesitated, before attempting to speak with this creature. "Who are you?"
The buizel snapped, "What do you care?"
Chain shifted in the water. Why was this thing even here in the first place? He didn't give much thought to it, however, and sighed. He really didn't care what this buizel's name was, but he was beginning to feel lonely. Deciding that he just wasn't fit to travel alone, he lifted his huge claws, as a somewhat subtle threat. He wanted this pokemon to just answer his questions. "Answer me when I ask you something. What are you doing here?"
The buizel smirked. "First of all, I did answer your question, with a counter question. And secondly, I'm here to destroy any resistance groups that wish to try to stop the forces. What are you, one of those silly defenders? They're weak, you know. Pitifully weak."
Chain kept a straight face, which wasn't hard to do when he never seemed to feel much shock, much less express it. "What's a defender? I was just traveling here with my trainer, then a storm hit, and we parted. I guess he's looking for land."
The buizel studied Chain with critical eyes. "You're wrong. He meant to leave you. He saved the others, and then used the storm for an excuse to leave you. Your trainer hates you, and has always hated you. You know there is land, really close to here. That's where the defenders headquarters is. If you've never heard of a defender, your trainer probably hasn't either, and so hasn't heard of the dark forces. Those defenders tend to make us seem extra bad, so too many join them. If you want a home, I'd suggest you come with me, and I'll explain everything about defenders and the forces. Your trainer abandoned you and is now going to become a defender, so you might as well join us. Fight against the stupid human that left such a wonderful pokemon to the forces of nature.
Chain was surprised. It was true that, in the past, he had never shown must surprise, or even felt it, but this was too much to take in. Ron had abandoned him on purpose? Rage drove him to make his decision. "I'll come with you. But who are you?"
The buizel grinned. "I'm Rocky. Welcome to the forces, Whipper."
Chain shook his head. "My name's not Whipper, it's Chain!"
"It is now," Rocky replied, and swam away. When Chain caught up to him, he explained the forces and defenders, and their plan.

OOC: @ aoboco: O___O! Go get your new character!
IC: Not knowing what to do, the bored Suteki headed down towards the first floor in the elevator nearby his door. "God I don't know what I'm doing." Suteki said, as his ride stopped, and the elevator doors opened. He stuck his SSL glasses on just in case he came in contact with one of his Pokemon, which he ultimately decided to do. After emerging from the elevator, as Suteki turned the corner going to the cafeteria, he ran into his Gastrodon; literally. "Great, like I needed to be covered in slug muck." Suteki joked, standing up from the ground after the impact.
Terra, who had lost his SSL lens in the impact, replied, "Yeah, well, it took me like twenty minutes to get that thing on straight." Suteki bent over and placed Terra's SSL back on.
"Well," the boy said after fixing his Pokemon's eyepiece, "it seems we've gotten a lot more members than we thought."
Terra responded, "Yeah, you should see how many people Scar and Commander have found."
Remembering his scout Pokemon, Suteki said, "Where are they, any way?
"You know, I haven't seem them for a while."
"Huh, no kidding. So,"Suteki and Terra started walking. "whatcha been up to?"
"Oh, just the usual slug business; helping out where ever, preparing Resistance Pokemon for battle, applying my hair jell, stuff like that." Suteki laughed at his Pokemon's joke.
"I'd pay money to see that." he said.

Ron, rocking on his feet, decided that no one was going to answer his knock. His stomach rumbled again, reminding him of his hunger. He let out a sigh. He couldn't ignore it any longer. He was going back to the cafeteria and was going to get some food, one way or another. He rummaged in his yellow jeans, a gift from his mother. Maybe he had something left over? Touching something, he eagerly fished out some waterlogged paper. It was money. Wet money, but money none the less. He couldn't be sure the amount, for it was smudged really badly, but he guessed it would be enough for lunch. Stuffing the bill back into his jeans, he raced back to the elevator.
The seconds dragged on as he thought of food, any kind of food. It would shut his stomach up and satisfy him. Once he had food, he could maybe find a way to make himself comfortable for the time he would spend here, no matter how long. Finally the music switched off, and he kept pressing the 'open door' button. He kept it up even when the door had opened completely, too preoccupied with the idea of food to even think about other things.
When he finally realized that the door had opened, Ron stepped out. A red figure formed beside him, but he was already up and running. He didn't notice the crawdaunt that stared angrily after him, shaken out of his pokeball by Ron's carelessness. Pottinger, grumbling the whole way, raced after Ron. What was so important that Ron had to leave him there? What was so important that his trainer didn't even notice him? What is the world could be more important than him? Questions danced in his mind, and he frowned so horribly you would think that he was up to something bad. But no, that was just his regular frown. The scowl most people saw was his regular face, but this grimace was his frown. No one had seen him smile, though Ron's mother had told him that Pottinger's smile was no more than a frown, a straight face at most.
Ron followed his freckled nose to find food, and quickly paid. Somehow the other person could read the bill he had handed him, and had smiled quite oddly before handing him the food. Ron didn't care, however, and headed to a table. Not watching where he was going, he tripped over something, falling to the floor. "No!" He yelped, seeing his food 'jump' off the tray and land a foot away. Frowning, for that had been his last bill that he had used to pay for his food, his pushed himself up, and looked to see what he had tripped on.
Ron could see a gastrodon and another human, like himself. Frowning, he decided that it must have been the gastrodon that had tripped him. Putting his hands on his hips, he looked at the man. Usually he would be forgiving, but he was pretty hungry. "You should teach your pokemon to behave better. Your gastrodon tripped me!"
In the back of Ron's mind, he knew that wasn't true. Logic told him that he had just been being careless and had probably tripped over his over feet, or accidentally run into the pokemon. However, logic doesn't always help much when it comes to food. Realizing that he was being a fool, Ron let his arms drop to his sides. "I'm sorry, sir. It was my mistake." He let his eyes drop to his shoes, and then a foot away where his food was lying on the ground.
Suddenly an idea sparked in Ron's mind. "Um, sir, do you know when this weather will let up? Or, if not, could you tell me a little bit about this place? I lost one of my crawdaunt at sea, and I'm going to stay here to look for him, or at least until the weather is calm again. Then I'll build a boat and be on my way."
-----
Pottinger grumbled as he saw his trainer run off. Didn't he think that he was hungry? He thought not. Ron had never even stopped to consider him, and had rocked his pokeball so much, he thought he was in the storm all over again. Soon Ron's blond hair was lost to him, though. With some more grumbles about how it was so unfair to leave him like this, Pottinger trudged in the direction that Ron had taken.
A few times he came across a bit of pokefood, or even human food, that had spilled on the floor. Pottinger didn't know how Ron had managed to pay for his food, but he was sure there wouldn't be anything left for him. So every once in a while he would take a nibble of what was left over, though these things hardly did anything for him. One time he came across a treasure, or, as most humans preferred to call it, a burger. He nibbled on it. It was pretty good! Sitting back, he closed his eyes and savored the taste.
Deciding that having his eyes open would help him spot his trainer more easily, Pottinger let his gaze drift over the room. It didn't take long to see Ron standing a foot away, talking to a man and his gastrodon. Pottinger froze, glancing down at the burger he held in his claws. It didn't take him long to make the assumption that this was Ron's. His eyes opened wider in alarm, and he took the last bite. It wasn't fair to Ron, but then again, Ron hadn't even considered that he would be hungry. Standing up, he made his way quickly to his trainer's side, trying to look as innocent as possible.

The minutes ticked by, Michalla in a complete haze of darkness as the world and its people moved on without her. Sometimes, when she was alone, she thought that maybe the world didn't need her at all, that maybe the grand scheme of things didn't require her existance to continue. These were the desperate and depressing thoughts that plauged the poor girls mind as she squirmed in her sleep on the large couch that served as her bed. The soft murmur of the people a dull and discomforting annoyance to her, couldn't they be more polite?
You asked for one more day, do you plan on sleeping it away? Lucario's annoyed voice broke through the uncertain wave of darkness and made the sleeping woman squirm slightly, WAKE UP!
Michalla leapt up, green eyes snapping open as she nearly flipped over the back of the couch. "WHAT! Who, what, where?" she whipped her head around, looking to the several faces of the patrons' who were shooting her quizzical glances from wherever they were sitting or standing. Eventually, she heaved a sigh and deflated, still sprawled over the back of the couch and looked to the Pokemon, cross legged beside her. He looked truly vexed with his big eyes closed and his arms akimbo, then again, he always looked as such, "Now, is there a reason behind this?"
The clouds are heavy, and Rael plans to attack tonight despite your warning. I suggest you make the necessary actions before he arrives.
Michalla didn't look surprised, and instead let out a sigh. We don't know this building, where its power fuses or generators are.
Lucario opened one big eye and stood swiftly, Then might I suggest we split up? You and I will look for the main power, most likely on the outside of the building. Send Houndoom to look for the generators.
Michalla frowned at this, and shook her head: Good idea, but switch it, Houndoom will be far less noticed outside and we'll be far less noticed insi- "ACHOO!" she shook her head and took a deep breath, then another, "ACHOO!"
Lucario shook his head and heaved a sigh of disdain, Fair. Send him out and let's go while it's to dark out for the humans to see.
Michalla reached down to her belt and pulled out Houndoom's pokeball. There was a pop, and a flash of white and the black dog appeared, large ears folded back against his skull. There was a pause, and the pokemon nodded in understanding, Michalla having guessed Lucario told him the plan, and he began for the door. She turned to Lucario and settled her fists on her hips, "Let's go..."

Ron frowned. The forces? He had heard of them before, when passing by his mother talking on the phone. He thought he had heard that name before, the dark forces, from his mother’s conversation. She had been whispering something about… about someone that used to be pretty important to the forces. She had been… sad about it, like she wished that it wouldn’t have been. She had said something about how she wished that person would have changed, and been at least neutral if not a defender. Yes, he remembered it now. What was the name she had whispered? Ranofer? Yes, it was. That had to be it. He thought back. He didn’t know any Ranofers, but maybe he mother had. No, she had introduced him to all her friends. He had thought it annoying at the time, but now he could clearly recall that no one was named Ranofer. That left only one choice. His father. So his father was called Ranofer. Suddenly he had an idea. “I’m Ron. Ron Vat. Do you know my father, Ranofer Vat?”
((Can we say that Ranofer Vat used to be part of the dark forces?))

|OoC| -has no idea what is going on at all-
Silver Etherlight
Forces of Darkness
"So, you managed to loot this Super Scope Lens thingamajig and is currently presenting it to me?"
"Yes sir. It allows the trainer to be able to see through the eyes of their Pokemon, and wearing it allows you to understand that particular Pokemon's speech."
"Okay, then I must most humbly reject."
"Why? I have been given direct orders to give it to you."
"Simply because I don't need it. No worthwhile trainer would need some scope thing to understand his Pokemon. I'll live with not knowing exactly every word, there's a different beauty in that."
Smiling slightly at his own statement, Silver Etherlight dismissed the soldier from the Forces with a wave, preparing for himself to leave on his own mission. He did not particularly enjoy being in the Forces himself, but he had figured that if he was to end the war, it would simply be easier if he did it from within the stronger side, and combined with a desire for revenge, was the only reason why he joined the Forces over the Defenders anyway. That, and because the Forces could never properly be destroyed, which was why he had to go straight to the source of the war, Yggdrasil. Having achieved the honour of Kanto League Champion twice already, one at fifteen and once more at seventeen, Silver was more than confident in his own ability to fight and win. He did not need gimmicks like the Super Scope Lens, not as long as he kept his eyes open and stopped a fiasco like what happened to his two old Pokemon happen again.
"Very well then, sir. I have a mission for you, straight from upstairs."
"Okay, what is it?"
"You are to join up with a small group of Forces a little north of here, as there is a Defenders outpost there that is waiting to be destroyed."
"When we have already infiltrated deeper than that? Ridiculous. That will not further the cause at all. Just give it two weeks and they'll haul themselves out, then just waltz in and take over."
"While I do not disagree with your chain of thought, I certainly cannot do anything about a mission that is already set. Please do not make my life any more difficult than it is, or yours for that matter. I know your power, but even you cannot take up half the top ranking staff by yourself."
"In saying that, you prove that you do not know my power. Just tell the commander I declined, and will aid the battle in my own way. Not by massacring helpless Defenders. I'm above that, no matter how difficult it is to believe."
"But..."
Sighing, Silver strode over to beside where the soldier was, pulled out a pocket knife, and grabbed the soldier's wrist, flipping him over in one fluid motion and supporting the landing with his knee, the knife hanging just over the soldier's neck. If either made any movement, the soldier would either nearly break his back, or get his throat slit, and both men knew that perfectly well.
"It would be just as easy to kill you as it would to kill a Defender. Your blood is the same colour after all. In fact, I might be doing the world a favour. So do me one instead and relay my message instead of pissing me off."
"Y...Yes sir."
"Very good."
Letting the private free, Silver returned to preparing to leave by himself, smiling at a shadow in the floor where a certain Gengar was, watching over every movement of every single being in the room. Loki served Silver well, and they were both glad for that.

Startled, Brendan awoke to the booming roar of thunder. Walking to the table in his temporary room, he checked the digital clock, which read 12:13 AM. Moaning, he decided to check the resistance' status with Seb. He walked down the dim hallway, the only light provided by the small crevaces in doorways with lighted rooms. As he creaked open Seb's door, the boy saw several high-ranking resistance members alongside him on the comportable, soft sofa watching a weather report on the television. "Ghastly weather, isn't it? the head of the Canalave resistance leader asked Brendan. "Just the person I wanted to see. We've got reports coming in from all over, come with me." Brendan turned to Seb, who was already out the doorway, half-nodded, and followed.
"Have a seat, Commander," Seb notioned to Brendan, in a joking manner, as they entered a large room which Brendan identified as a meeting room. As he sat down across from him, the cold, hard metal met Brendan's body, which sent a chill up the boy's spine. "What's happening out there?" Brendan questioned curiously. Seb strolled to the very back of the room, folding down a map of the Sinnoh region. "Well, first off," the man informed Brendan, pointing to the extreme west of the ocean, "Over the last five hours, unusual amounts of Pokemon have entered the seas about one-hundred and seventy-five miles from the coastline. Also, there is an unprecidented increase in boat traffic in that area. We don't know what's going on out there, but you and I both know that those aren't friendly beings." Seb paused for a moment, and began again, "Also, our spies have failed to report to us in over three days. Many of us believe they have turned on us or have been discovered." Brendan stared into the dark, scarred face of Seb and was met with a look of discontent. "I need to get this to Suteki," Brendan exclaimed. "Wait Brendan, a messenger has already been sent," Seb reasured the restless boy. "We'll have reinforcements tomorrow in case the Forces decide to send us some of their cannon fodder early. What I want you to do Brendan, is get a few more hours of sleep, and at dawn scout out the ocean and identify as many of those bastards as you can. Those are your orders." "Got it," Brendan replied, as he rushed back to his room. "That kid, always doing something," Seb remarked as a solemn look adorned his face.

As Suteki waited for an answer, horror then struck at the Resistance HQ. At twelve o'clock in the morning, a large explosion shattered the windows of the shelter, smoke pouring in. Distress soon erupted along the Resistance members, who were frightened and panic stricken. The torrential downpour from the unforgiving weather flushed in streams through the broken glass windows. As the smoke soon filled the room, more crashing noises could be heard. "What the hell is going on here?!" Suteki cried out. A Mightyena burst out of the smoke and shadow and tackled Suteki, knocking him onto the cold, hard ground of the HQ. A hearty and devious cackle emerged from the direction the Mightyena came from, and soon a man, dressed in all black, came out of the chaos. At the mysterious man's side were several dark Pokemon; several Absol, and several Houndoom. "What is the meaning of this?" Suteki demanded, raising from his fall. His voice boomed over the ruckus of the Resistance members, instantly silencing them. They too wanted to know what was going on. The man once again cackled, laughing at Suteki's distress. Some of his Houndoom started to growl at the Resistance Commander.
"Don't you get it, my boy? We're attacking you!" The man exclaimed. All was silent as Suteki pushed his SSL glasses down. With a wave of his hands, the Forces commander commanded, "Seize them! Seize them all!" Groups of Forces Grunts emerged from the now waning smoke, grabbing any Resistance member that was closest to them. But suddenly, just as if Arceus himself shined upon the attacked HQ, Commander and Scar burst into the scene, knocking into, and knocking out, several Forces members.
"You are not leaving with out a good fight." Scar exclaimed, his voice booming from the SSL Suteki had. He then charged and leaped at one of the Absol, his claw turning into pure ice, punching the Absol with a hard Ice Punch. Commander also lunged into the fight. He slashed at a Houndoom, his wings slamming the dog Pokemon with a Wing Attack. A fight soon broke out against Scar and Commander against the Absol and Houndoom, who retaliated. As they fought, one of the Houndoom almost got an upper-hand on Scar, when a large ball of tightly packed mud flew through the air, and bombed the Houndoom, ultimately fainting it. Scar looked at the direction that the Mud Bomb came from, only to see Terra, smirking. Amidst the chaos of the battle, the mysterious Forces Commander tried to escape with his Mightyena, only to be blocked by Suteki.
"I don't you're going anywhere." Suteki said to the man with a smirk on his face. Suddenly a Luxray came out of nowhere, just as the Mightyena did, and lunged at the Mightyena with a Spark attack.
The Forces Commander grimaced. "You dare challenge me, one of Forces great Commanders, Silvius?!" Suteki paused for a moment, ignoring Silvius. He had thought he had heard that name before. He snapped back into reality when Silvius yelled out, "Mightyena, Take Down, now!"
Suteki, retaliating, commanded, "Tevellik, counter with a Spark attack!" The two Pokemon clashed in a great impact, but in the end, Tevellik prevailed. "Now Tevellik, use Fire Fang!"
The Luxray's fangs glowed with fire, and grunted, "You got it!" for he too had a SSL lens on his right eye.

BOOM
Oh sh- was all Michalla could think before the glass nearest to her and Lucario smashed inward. Pokemon poured into the main room and trainers jumped into action around her. She turned, helpless to do anything when a black blur zoomed by, followed by his trainer Rael who quickly had Michalla in a choke hold. "Wha-....stop!"
"Lucario, do anything you can to get the Defenders gathered in one spot." he barked. There was a short pause amid the noise and chaos before Lucario turned and ran off, "And you, my dear, are virtually useless!" he shoved Michalla to the ground and looked around. His black Charizard, Scale, was causing an uproar amid the defenders with several grunt Pokemon at his back. "Scale, the support beams, destroy them all!"
There were three Houndoom running around around her, and as she watched them move to quickly for her to get a good look for the scratch on the horn of hers, more glass showered around her. "Houndoom!" she called, standing and running for the elevator. He was there in seconds, running beside her. She smashed the button, cursing to herself. Of course it didn't work!
Up the stairs! there was a boom as one of Lucario's Aura Spheres smashed the door closest to her, revealing the stairs that led upwards, Be careful.
She took the stairs two at a time, racing upwards to wherever Suteki might be. She didn't realize she was screaming until Houndoom's flamethrower took down a Swellow patrolling the entryway. She continued running until she reached a door, praying as she threw it open.
Pokemon lay on the ground, a Luxray standing not far from Houndoom and herself with a glowing maw. Houndoom stood at the ready, a deep growl coming from his maw where flames licked at the corners. "You dummies just don't listen, do you?" there was a loud crash and the floor beneath them shiverred. For a split second the words hung in the air, "I told you to just wait! Houndoom, flamethrower!" she lifted a hand and pointed.
Fire spewed forth from the dog's gape, aimed right for Luxray.

"Wha--?!" Tevellik gaped, not aware of the flames, until they impacted. The Luxray tried to dodge, but was burnt at the leg. His right leg now was turning black, flames licking at the edges of his fur, tempting to light Tevellik's body on fire. Tevellik knew that a Houndoom flame's pain never ceased to stop, and the pain had already started to kick in. Grimacing, Tevellik steadied himself, his right leg limping, and with a roar, shot a large bolt of electricity at the Houndoom, and then another Thunderbolt at the Mightyena. Now commotion was about, Defenders and Forces and Resistance all hollering over each other, trying to get on another's attention. Confusion was still about the shelter. Through the cracked windows, thunder crackled as more rain seeped into the building, covering the floor with a wet battle field. The smoke had stopped coming through the broken windows, but it still floated about in the HQ's air. Caught off guard, Commander and Scar were suddenly thrown against a wall, each one outnumbered 3 to 1. Their impacts left a small imprint on the wall; the floor seemed to shake after they fell from the wall. Terra was there, trying to mop up the rest of the Forces Grunts that were taking the Resistance members hostage. Dispatching them easily, the Gastrodon turned his attention to his Dark Pokemon allies, ready to help them beat the Absol and Houndoom. Suteki himself turned his attention, but not to his Pokemon; to Chance the girl that he had rescued just this day.
"How could you do this, Chance?" Suteki said. "Why would you be on the Forces side?" He was trying the old guilt trip, but he didn't know if it was working or not.

Michalla was frowning, a little confused as to recognizing the name he called her by for a second. Before she would even think of responding, she leapt to the side, Houndoom looked up just in time for a bolt of lightning to strike him. Even after the glow was gone, small flickeres of electricity sparked from his black fur. Paralysis. Houndoom rose a shaky head when Michalla held her hand out, "The forces pay more, why else? Trust me, it's not like I agree with them or anything." she heaved a sigh and pulled off Scout's ball, hurling it into the air.
With a pop, Scout appeared with glittering wings.
There was another shake, more violent this time. "Houndoom, try using Dark Pulse!" he raised his head and stomped the ground, letting out a howl...
Nothing happened...

Suteki couldn't believe what the girl. "How could you..." Suddenly filled with rage, he shouted with anger, "Tevellik, finish that thing off now with the most powerful Thunderbolt you can!" The Luxray, feeling the same emotions as his Trainer, released all of his stored up energy in one violent blow, causing a small explosion directly on the Houndoom. The room was filled with the screaming howl of the Houndoom as it staggered to draw it's remaining breathes.

Arami's heart surged with anger. She didn't know what to do... "Houndoom, Protect!"
There was a barking howl and a blue wall sprang up in front of them. The volt of lightning hit the wall and bounced off. Now fully enraged, Michalla pointed at Luxray, "Now, Payback!" the wall vanished and the dog Pokemon darshed forward, horns and eyes ablaze in a deep red.
The ground jolted beneath them once more, a deep crack splitting the middle of the floor and sending the top two floors colliding with the first. "Scout! Fly!" Michalla leapt for the bird who knew full well that this wasn't the time to be disobedient. She recalled Houndoom and ducked into the brown and white feathers as Scout leapt into the air, "Grab the boy!" she demanded.
Scout's talons stretched out as he zoomed by for the nearest open window to grab Suteki.

But Suteki wouldn't go out without a fight. "Tevellik, return!" Suteki said, then grabbed another one of his PokeBalls and said, "Abrax, let's go!" He tossed the small capsule into the air, which released a large, blue Dragon Pokemon; a Salamence. Suteki hitched a ride on his Dragon-Pokemon. Rage boiled through his veins about what the Forces just did to his home base. "How dare you fiends!" Suteki yelled out. "Abrax, Flamethrower on that pathetic Pidgeot!" Nodding with agreement, Abrax opened his mouth, and a large beam of fire shot at the large bird Pokemon.

"Scout, dive!" there was a roar of both wind and fire as the flames missed by mere inches when Scout closed his wings and took a nosedive straight down, the heat boring into her back. "Agility!" the speedy little bird snapped his wings open and a silver glow formed around his feathers. Wind screamed by, Michalla struggled to fully wrap her arms around Scout. This would be a great time to have an ice beam handy! But there's no way that hulking dragon can keep up with Scout... she hoped...

Eli, suddenly in alert and attack mode thanks to the explosions, sprinted through the HQ til he saw michalla. he didn't notice she was fighting at first and started walking towards her. Then he heard suteki shouting attacks and names and understood what was happening: michalla was attacking suteki. suteki was defending himself. michalla was with the forces. eli had to help. but who? a girl he'd known forever or suteki, the man he had barely seen but who would probably keep him alive. to eli, the choice was easy.
"Suteki! That's your name, right? I like the salamence. looks like you could use some help. Check this out!"
"Gawain, go!" Eli launched his pokeball outwards and a huge swampert came out."alright, lets go! ice beam on pidgeot!"

"Heh, I know how to deal with this." Suteki said with a smirk. "Abrax, let's go, Dragon Pulse!" The Salamence let out another tremendous roar, but this time whilst emitting a large pulsation of pure Dragon power, sure to hit the Pidgeot. This is it...The final showdown... Suteki thought to himself, half paying attention to the battle he was engaged in. Then, he had noticed Eli. "Eli!" he yelled, "welcome to the battle! Glad you could help!" He looked at his Salamence and said, "And thanks." Dodging a shard of ice that came flying his way, he said, "And yes. The name is Suteki."

Scout gave a cry of pain, jolted and lost a dangerous amount of altitude. Michalla's heart nearly stopped, but fortunately the bird righted itself just before it hit the ground. Unfortunately Michalla was also wounded by the attack. Dizzy with all the commotion she lost her grip on the feathers and continued to plummet.
She hit the ground almost full force, skidding and flopping like a rag doll as she drug against the ground. She finally stopped, fully unconscious and an awkward hanging arm at the edge of a cliff overhanging the sea below. Waves crashed over deadly rocks far below and in the distance a crack of lightning split the skies before fading away.

Suteki, not knowing what to do, in a state of shock, commanded Abrax to lower him to the girl while the Salamence took care of the Houndoom. "Chance!" He yelled, as he ran towards her unconscious body, now regretting his hardheadedness. Suteki knelt near the girl, once again unsure what to do with her being unconscious; he just waited, pleaded in his heart for the girl to be okay.

Eli ran out with gawain to suteki.
"why do you keep calling her that? her name is michalla." he knelt beside her"gawain, pick her up. suteki, you should go back to HQ and settle things, try and restore some kind of order. i'm sure you're capable of doing so. i'll take care of her, don't worry."
Eli sighed and whisperd to himself"michalla..... what have you gotten into this time..."

WAKE UP! Michalla's head pounded as she commanded herself in her semi-consciousness, Wake up wake up wake up!
Slowly the sounds around her began to seperate into individual sounds, rather than one long roar. It felt like it was ready to split open, and possibly was. "Get away from me!" she tried to say, but of course the sound came out a garbled mess. If she didn't regain proper speech soon, there was a good chance she had a concussion. She tried to move, to flail away from whatever was near or touching her, and a deadly sharp blood red white hot pain tore through her arm. That was undoubtably broken.
Her job was done, she'd infiltrated the Defender HQ and aided in its destruction. She felt terrible, but at least her major tie to the forces was dealt with. There was only one matter left to attend to. Where were Lucario and Scout?

"Michalla...? Well, I had already known her as Chance, but, if you say so." Suteki said, shrugging, and sighing. He hitched a ride on his Salamence; all of the Forces had retreated. He returned to the ground floor, scattered debris and Trainers every. The shelter was completely uninhabitable, with dust and sheet rock covering everything in sight; couches, and tables, benches and beds. Some Resistance Pokemon were helping clear the debris. Suteki landed, and jumped off of Abrax, giving him a stroke on the head. He then had noticed the Nurse Joy. He walked up to her, and said, "Any casualties?" The Nurse thankfully shook her head no. Suteki could only smile. Seeing all of his Pokemon tired and weary, Suteki returned all of his Pokemon, and gave them to the Nurse, whose machine thankfully hadn't been damaged in the combat.

After Suteki rounded up the Resistance members, he held an emergency Resistance Meeting. "I say we launch a surprise attack on them!" Suteki offered, with anger and rage in his eyes. "Aerial scouts have reports a small island belonging to the Forces a few mile off of the coast. The islands is not that close to the main Forces islands, so we could establish a small base there. Come on, I just need a few Trainers to help me out! This is the perfect chance to attack the Forces!" Suteki shouted, his voice becoming very desperate. At the word "chance", he worried about the poor girl, and wondered if she was all right. Then he said, "If anyone wants to come with me, meet me at six o'clock tomorrow morning. Either way, I'm going with our without backup."

The wind was bitter, sent a chill down her spine. There was a sound, a rustle. Scoud landed beside her, large head dipping down close to the semi-conscious girl. Slowly she began to move, amazed that she wasn't dead. Her movement was lethargic as she rolled onto her back and reached up with a pale hand the grasp the bird with her good arm. "Easy boy." she cooed as Scout levered her to her feet.

Ron was in complete shock. All he could see was black, although he knew his eyes were open. He could feel his wrists tied together, but hadn't a clue as to how. Fabric clogged his mouth, so he knew he was gagged. Closing his eyes (not that it did much good), he thought of what had happened earlier.
Ron could see Suteki in his mind, and then himself, and Pottinger, and the background filled itself in. Suddenly windows crashed, and a bunch of people had come in. One in particular was wearing a black cloak and sunglasses. He saw a girl attack Suteki, and then they left through a window. Pottinger had let out a chirp, and just seconds later he had heard the clash of claws and had seen, briefly, Pottinger fighting another crawdaunt that was much bigger. Then someone had stuffed his mouth with cloth, and covered his eyes. His wrists had been tied together very tightly. The clashing had stopped at about that time, and he had felt a huge, sharp claw hit him on the head. He had been out.
Now, though, Ron was awake, and wondering where he was. He was bobbing up and down slightly, as if he were being carried. Squirming, he tried to get out of the grasp. He was successful, for he dropped to the ground. Suddenly he felt himself pulled up and pushed. His legs started moving, so that he was walking on his own two feet, he just didn't know where.
He was getting tired by the time they stopped. He felt impact on the backs of his knees, and so he kneeled. Suddenly he could see again. There wasn't much to see. The sky was black, and sprinkled with tiny stars. Trees surrounded him, although he could hear the trickling of a stream nearby. He could also see the face of a man, staring at him. He couldn't see the eyes, for they were covered by sunglasses, and his face was in shadows from the hood of the cloak. Ron gasped, forgetting the cloth that was in his mouth. Instead he glared at the person.
-----
Frederick glared into the face of the small boy that sat before him. He knew that the boy couldn't see the glare, for his eyes were covered by sunglasses. Looking at the boy's eyes, though, a small memory sparked in him. The hair, too. He knew that those were small differences that could be anyone, but those eyes held a certain expression. Well, at least when he glared. He had, of course, been the receiving end of many a glare in his day, but only a couple that were like this. Those couple were from the same person. They were the eyes of Ranofer. Shocked, he pulled the cloth out of the boy's mouth. "Are you Ranofer's son?" he asked, incredulous.
The boy frowned. "Yes, I am. Who are you?"
Frederick smiled. "So, you're Ron, right?"
Ron nodded. "Yes, but how do you know him, when I didn't even know his name until recently?"
Frederick chuckled. "Of course your mother never told you. She was ashamed of him. They separated when Ranofer joined the forces."
"More about the forces?"
"I'll explain." Frederick began talking about the forces and defenders and what had happened.
Well, it certainly clear to Ron now why his mother had told him to come this way. Why his mother never talked about his dad. "I don't want to be part of the forces."
"That's too bad, because you're coming with me now."
Frederick wrapped the cloth around his mouth, this time. It wasn't as critical that he remain speechless. Wrapping another around his eyes, he started to make camp.

It might have been hours that Michalla lay between sleep and some form of a waking nightmare. Her arm screamed with pain, slowly becoming numbed by the frigid rains still pouring from above. Scout leaned in close, entense eyes boring into Eli who stood nearby, extending a protective wing over his master.
Suddenly, a whoosh broke the silence and Scale appeared from other the edge of the cliff, tail tucked under his black body almost blended into the night skies. His eyes sparked a dangerous red as he snapped his wide wings open. Rael leapt from its back and landed nearby, a pokeball brandished like a weapon in one hand as he looked between Michalla, Eli and Swampert. "Step aside Scout, I'll take her from here."
Michalla opened one hazed eye and looked around. Her back was to Rael, but his voice was recognizable anywhere.

Frederick, abandoning all hope of making the place comfortable, sighed. His fingernails scratched at tree bark as he pulled himself about a foot up the trunk. Just about to slip, he grabbed onto a branch. Pulling himself up, and settled himself. His eyes searched the surroundings as the sound of talking reached him on the wind. Taking a pokeball from his waist, he glared in the direction. "Go, Rocky," he whispered, and threw the ball to the ground. Immediately a buizel formed next to it.
Rocky glanced at Ron, and then up at Frederick, cocking its head. Its beady little eyes saw Frederick motion, and he quickly scampered in the direction of his trainer's hand. The trees thinned quickly, until there was no longer anything above his head. He kept running, though, sure that Frederick wasn't wrong about something being here. It took a while of running, but eventually he saw two people, one on the ground, and a few pokemon. He couldn't see the person on the ground's arm, so assumed it wasn't there. Silently he came closer, hoping that they wouldn't see him. He knew that all they had to do would be turn around and look at the ground to see him, but he was determined to learn a bit more about them first.

Suteki yelled, "Will no one join me in this expedition?" He scream echoed throughout the remnants of the HQ. "If nobody else will go, then I will will attack the island all by myself." Nobody said anything. They just looked around, waiting for the other person to talk. Suteki desperately wished for at least on brave Resistance member to stand up and declare that they were willing to go along with him.

Frederick glared in the direction that Rocky had taken, and sighed. He really wanted to get away from here if a defender was close by. He hadn't a clue if the voices he heard came from defenders or forces, but he wasn't about to take another risk, not while he held a potential defender captive. Jumping down from the branch he sat on, he picked up the empty pokeball that was on the ground, and took another pokeball from his waist. He let the pokemon that resided in the ball out. A mightyena stood in front of Frederick. "Lion, tell Rocky, when he comes back, that we've gone to the island base. If he gathers any useful information about those people, bring it to me and come back, understand?"
Seeing the mightyena nod, Frederick added, "If Rocky can't figure out anything important, both of you come back. I'll need you both to become a bit stronger before we attack the defenders again." Frederick nodded to himself, and turned away from Lion, who sat to wait for the buizel to return. Forcing Ron to his feet, they set off in the direction they had been walking since they left the headquarters.
-----
Frederick could finally see the water. Even though he strained his eyes he couldn't see the small, almost unoccupied island that was off in the distance. He grinned as he thought of the new pokemon he had. Quickly he released Whipper, who glanced at Ron before looking at Frederick. Whipper seemed confused, but that was only natural, as Ron was Whipper's old trainer. Frederick didn't know that, though, and paid no attention to them. He untied Ron's wrists, and then pulled them around the crawdaunt's body, retying them.
"Whipper, all you have to do is go straight. If you go off course... well, let's leave it this way: don't. Come back for me when you're done."
The crawdaunt splashed into the water, starting his swim.
