Hey everybody, I don't know if you remember me but your help enabled me to defeat my rival in our last battle. I'm going to be seeing him around Christmas and I have a team idea. Any and all suggestions are welcome (but I cannot get any pokemon requiring special Nintendo events). The focus of this team is to keep the earthquaking field open at all times for my Charizard as well as my Aerodactyl. I know I know I know. "What if your Charizard kicks the bucket?" Well, I'd like to think that each one of these can stand alone fairly well, but I guess that's for you to decide. I almost forgot to mention that this IS a 2-on-2 battle. Thanks in advance.

Hey, thanks a lot. A couple of questions though. This is for a 2-on-2 battle...are you sure I should have surf on Mantine? Surf does hurt your partner now. Also, if I'm short on walls, could you recommend and thing to put in in place of something? Also, I found my final move for my Charizard. I'm thinkin' Shadow Claw (Charizard can't learn Night Slash, I checked). Sorry, I lied. I had three questions...the third one being "Are you sure hypnosis should be on Crobat?" I've used many a Crobat in the past and in the end it's much more reliable to have confuse ray than Hypnosis. Hypnosis only has an accuracy of like...55 or something. Confuse Ray hits 100 percent of the time. It may not mathematically make sense, but I still like my chances better. One more thing...my Gengar? Why not keep what it has? It covers many a type with Electric, Grass, Poison, and ghost. All of those moves pack enough punch to be potential one hit killers too. Just my thoughts...anyways...please give me some questions...thanks in advance.

Just giving this topic a little boost...If you could take a look at a few of my questions it would be appreciated. I do have a change to make in my team. I'm thinking of taking out Charizard and replacing it with a Salamence with the same basic idea.

Salamence (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 HP
Nature: Jolly (+Speed -Special Attack)
Belly Drum
Earthquake
Crunch/Dragon Claw
Thunder Fang/Dragon Claw (Not sure which one should go)

For all your policing, you disregard the four word rule? Tsk tsk.

By the way threadstarter, if you're interested in a Rock Head/Double Edge Aerodactyl, I've got one. Ace123456789 never got around to trading for it. Jolly nature, all around good IVs.

Thanks for the rates guys, if you look above I did say I was going to switch out Charizard for Salamence. However, I wanted to keep the same basic belly drum idea. Do you think that would work still? I'll go ahead and post the moveset/EV's and stuff I had for the Salamence again...

Salamence (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 HP
Nature: Jolly (+Speed -Special Attack)
Belly Drum
Earthquake
Crunch/Dragon Claw
Thunder Fang/Dragon Claw (Not sure which one should go)

@Archeopterix - do you not see the words in the quote?

No. Belly Drum is generally a crazy move. The only reason it's worth trying with Charizard is because Blaze boosts Fire Punch to stupid proportions and can OHKO almost everything.

For Salamence, you can do a DDance set. Normally I'd say Specsmence but it seems like you're fine with special sweepers.

Salamence@Life Orb/Leftovers
Adamant
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Spd, 6 HP
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Aerial Ace/Brick Break/Crunch/Zen Headbutt

Last slot for coverage and whatever you'd prefer to hit harder.

EDIT: Wait, does Salamence even learn Belly Drum?

Yes, Salamence can learn Belly Drum as an egg move. I see what you're saying about the belly drumming Salamence. I had this same combo (only with a togetic) in netbattle with my charizard and it worked wonders. Well, anyways...I'll definitely take it into consideration. I have another question about my last team member though. What would you think of instead of having a bulky water or something I have a Zapdos with a moveset something like this...

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
Modest Nature (+Special Attack -Attack)
EVs: 252 Special Attack/ 252 Speed
Thunderbolt
Thunderwave
Hidden Power (Ice preferrably)
Roost
