I'm trying for a Poocheyena. :D . I may be a new writer but don't go easy on me. I hate people sugar coating bad writing.

THE QUEST FOR POOCHEYENA
Kyra yawned loudly as she sat up in her bed. Her long mahogany hair a tangled mess much like her red and black bed sheets.
"What to do today." She wondered out load as she dragged herself out of bed and managed to make it the bathroom. After finishing her morning ritual she hopped out of her room dressed in her standard blue jeans and black shirt, just as asleep as she was when she first woke up.
"Hey. What's wrong with your hair Medusa?" Asked Lionel, Kyra's younger brother. "Did it die again?" He asked with mock enthusiasm.
"No, twerp." Growled Kyra as she opened the screen door to the back yard for Dinga. "The only thing dieing anytime soon is gonna be you if ya don't find your way under a rock."
With that last threat Kyra and her brother managed to eat breakfast in relative peace, until Professor Birch knocked on the door.
"Coming!" Yelled Kyra as she nudged her brother. obviously hinting for him to answer the door. Of course seeing as how he was a younger brother and not a door man he just continued to eat breakfast.
"Fine then." Kyra growled out as she walked to the door, with Dinga trailing at her heals.
"Oh goodness Kyra I'm glad your awake." Greeted Prof. Birch when Kyra opened the door. "We've got a slight problem on route 101."
"Well how am I supposed to help?" Asked Kyra, aware that Birch had more than just a few Pokemon down at the lab.
"Well," Started Prof. Birch. "A lot of trainers have come through recently and so we don't have many Pokemon left. If thats what you were thinking. And besides don't you think it's only fair that I ask you to battle this Poochyena. You've only been begging for one for the past year."
"Poochyena?" Kyra asked after gasping. "Did you hear that Dinga! Were gonna catch a Poochyena!"
She scooped up the small growlithe and dashed to her room for a few Pokeballs and a Potion.
