In my school, health and science gets a little, bad for me, because if we're talking about the human body, diseases, etc., I get a little woozy and faint. Is there any way I could stop this? I can only go to the bathroom during class so much...

My only options are:
1) Tell teacher about problem and hopefully I'll get excused from class.
2) Tell guidance counsler about this and I'll get pass from him.
3) Forget about it, faint and hopefully I'll get excused after that.
4) Get parent's note.

I've fainted once before, and I've been close to fainting once.

Also discuss if you have similar issues.

I don't have any problems like that but if you seriously do you should talk to your guidance counselor and your parents. The school will try to help if it's a serious problem.

It's not serious if you mean as in a condition, but it only happens at Health: The Body and You classes, and it might happen alot this year in Science if we learn about the body. I'm thinking of asking my parents for a note.

Haha, somebody's nervous about learning about the opposite sex. I had the same problem, except I didn't faint. I giggled. Alot, you just have to cope with it. If you think about it, nothing about the human body is disgusting. You just need to find a way to do mind over matter.

It's not that part; it's more of diseases and stuff like that.

I know how you feel.
The side conversations are worse than the book though.

Hmm.. that stinks. *Priceless Pep-Talk From Peyton Manning* O.K., here's what you're gonna do. Next time the topic comes up, pretend this chick you like is sitting next to you. Don't have a crush? Fine, it's Beyonce. Now, she'll go out with you, but only if she thinks you're tough enough. Suck it in, hold your breath, sing a song, do whatever you gotta do. *This Was Another Priceless Pep-Talk From Peyton Manning. To Create A Personalized Pep-Talk To Send To A Friend, Visit Priceless.com/Peytonmanning.* Okay, if it is a real problem inside you, then I doubt that helped. Just get a note, or let your teacher know about it. Try to work with the school to find a solution. That's about as much as I'm good for. Hope you can work something out.

We'll probably stop learning about this by tommorow, but third term is health.

Well, last year when we had health.....well the teachers showed us what some deasieses did to people. And we were so mean and laughed at them. I felt really bad for laughing but couldn't stop. Stupid Schadenfreude...

I guess, but we do a quick review on reproduction sytems, and stuff like STDS.

Quick rundown on what happened today: I told teacher about problem, she said I could sit in another class, but I must do the work. I can live with that.

Only health is left, and we might be doing other things about the human body. :\

I remember earlier this year, a girl in my class fainted when my Biology teacher was explaining how they extract bone marrow.

But yeah, I don't really get that queasy about stuff like that, so I can't really give any expert advice. xD All I can suggest is the obvious one.. try and keep your mind off it. xD

The Health classes I've had have been pretty intense.

I've been shown pretty disturbing pictures of STDs. Herpes is by far the grossest thing ever.

And, one year, we watched a movie featuring live birth.

No censoring at all.

One kid had to leave the room.

He was mormon.

XD

D:

That's what I'm scared about. I can't just keep on fainting/ getting excused from class.

I sadly just deal with it, but if the teacher shows us a picture of STDs or anything else, I turn my head RIGHT AWAY. But showing a video of live birth?!? NO CENSORING? Man, the creator of that must be into porn. XD

Anyways, I just deal with it, and get through it. But I try to look as if I'm discusted, so people don't think I'm either gay or bi. In my school, they teach 6th graders how to m******bate! What is the world coming to?

Happy Birthday Hakken!

Good idea on turning the head away, but it's not all pictures.

well, I plan to, when they get to gross **** (like disecting... something. I have no idea what, but somebody said it's just a worm) I plan to run like hell IMMEDIATLY if there's no head notice. but if there is, I'll tell dad to let me stay home or pick me up during lunch or give me a note or SOMETHING to let me do something else when they talk about gross stuff.

darn, I miss being in private school D= there was nothing gross there as far as I remember.

*looks for an old science book from GSS*

EDIT: lol we didn't even have PE. xD just reccess... strange thing is, my learning group (don't ask why I call it that o.O it's strange o.O) use the parking lot (we had cones and where VERY careful so we didn't get hit by a car) when we could simply walk across the lot, cut through the pre-schoolers, and just use the playground there o.O

Bolded for the truth! Seriously, why can't we just go back to physical science like rocks and stuff?

Bolded for the truth! Serioously, why can't we just go back to prhysical science like rocks and stuff?
agreed! EARTH-TYPE/non-bodily science should be the ONLY core science!

as of RIGHT KNOW it's not to intese... the only things we talked about as far as bodies go, are cells, and as of now-DNA. and soemthing else... but the more "detailed" science is comeing soon.............. *shudder*

EDIT: hang on....... Cells and DNa aren't bodily sciences! Plants hav them too! :p

but don't be surprised well I start acting in a "scared for life" way in about two months

There are some things you need to learn. Especially about your body. The more you know about your body, the better you can take care of it.

But, I can understand your situation. Have you told your parents? Probably something they should know, and perhaps you can talk about as a family.

that's true, but it shouldn't be forced on us... IMO, our parents should give permission first

I understand that, but do teachers have to be soo graphic?
They could just say "Basicly, this makes your [Enter Body part here] [Enter deadly sypmtom here]" instead of "You can't do anything you'd normally do, and you need to get medicine every day, though you'd die anyway."

I've told my parents, but they're mostly saying Grin and Bear it, and fail at sympathy.

Well, the video was of the entire Birth Cycle.

Showed the whole "journey," ...without the sexual intercorse.

'Twas all digitally animated, until the birth part.

The kid was blue when he first came out. 0__o

Anyways, that's besides the point.

The thing is, we watched that in 6th Grade.

Now, four years later, I'm still pretty scarred.

Hopefully, SE, you guys won't get any of that.

And if you do have to see anything disgusting, just look away.

If kids tease you, they're pervs.

Simple as that. XD

The reason they show students that is because this is how they mind-control you. Just look away and listen to your MP3 player and you'll be fine. If you accidentally look at the screen, even if its just the credits, just ask to go to the bathroom and flush the mind-controlling bug out of your system by drinking lots of water, then urinating. Easy, right?

Now, if you get a heavier dose, go to the nurse's office and ask for some Tylenol and don't return to the class. Instead, go down to the band room where the obnoxious sounds of off-beat instruments will rattle your brain, shaking the bug off of you.

Now, there is one more thing you must know... if you don't get the bug off you within 24 hours of seeing this movie, you will likely become infected with the zombie virus that we all dread so much. So, I suggest taking my advice, and stick to your guns.
