New Shoddy Team. I’ve tested it a few times with varying success. I’ve tried to avoid making it mono-typed. Since it’s still in the testing phases, and I generally suck at EVs, I didn’t get too original with them (in fact I took them all right from the Smogon analyses). Try not to roast me too hard for that.

Fire away! (c wut I did thar?)

Bronzong@Damp Rock
Leftovers, Levitate
Bold
EVs: 252 HP, 152 Sp. Attack, 8 Def, 98 Spd
Hypnosis
Rain Dance
Grass Knot
HP Electric

Opener, and primary RD setup. I’m not sure how much I like him as a lead, but I definitely think he’s a keeper. Rain Dance halves damage from Fire attacks. Immune to ground and halving fire damage is like having both of his traits at once. Grass Knot nails Swampert and HP Electric handles BulkyDos leads. Have fun Taunting that. D: <

Kingdra@Life Orb
Modest, Swift Swim
EVs: 240 HP, 252 Sp. Attack, 16 Spd.
Rain Dance
Surf
Dragon Pulse
HP Electric

Changed to Swift Swim sweeper. Having success with it. :)

Ludicolo@Leftovers
Calm
204 HP, 76 SpA, 124 SpD, 104 Spe
Rain Dance
Energy Ball
Leech Seed
Surf

It’s hardly a Rain Dance team without the…pineapple duck?

My question is, do I go Rain Dish or Swift Swim? Swim seems to be all around better, but extra recovery on top of Leftovers recovery could be nice. Energy Ball is there for Swampert.

Toxicroak@Leftovers
Adamant, Dry Skin
EVs: 16 HP, 240 Speed, 252 Attack
Rain Dance
Substitute
Cross Chop
Sucker Punch

A stallish kind of set. Leftovers+Dry Skin recovery nets 18.5% of health every turn.

I love Toxicroak.

Swampert@Leftovers
Relaxed
EVs: 240 HP, 212 Def, 56 Sp. Attack
Earthquake
Surf
Ice Beam
Stealth Rock

It's Mixpert. Can absorb T-Bolts aimed at Gyarados with immunity and nail whatever was using it with a double boosted Surf or a powerful EQ. SR. <3

Gyarados@Life Orb
Adamant
252 Atk, 184 Speed, 72 HP
Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Earthquake
Stone Edge

Does it get simpler than this? DDance, and hit anything that doesn’t resist his double boosted Waterfall hard. Hell, hit a few things that do.

for colo go with rain dish. that moveset is called the disher set
ability: rain dish
item: leftovers
bold
-toxic
-surf
-leech seed
-rain dance
252 HP
188 def
68 sp.def
- I see you added the smogon set. I disagree with them. for some reason they suggest no evs in special for vaporeon, but they do for colo? 100 sp.def should be enough to wall anything with this set, especially since colo has only one true special weakness, the rare psn. colo needs defense to be a real force, especially when heracross can freely switch in, but that's just my opinion.

Well Heracross can't really freely switch into a Surf, but I digress.

I'll consider your set if you'll tell me what the EV spread accomplishes. I ran a damage calc, and Scarfcross's Megahorn (since he's who you mentioned) will OHKO even through 252 HP and 188 Def EVs with Bold. >_>

I'd use a mix'd Kingdra:
Lonely
252 ATK / 240 SPATK / 16 SPD
Waterfall
Surf/HP Electric
Dragon Pulse
Rain Dance/HP Electric

Waterfall 2HKOs Blissey. http://www.smogon.com/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif

I know the smiley is from Smogon, but I had to use it. xD

I actually was thinking of running a Mixed Kingdra, but I don't know if I have enough special 'oomph' otherwise. I'll try it for now though. Thanks. :D

The RD boost involved should give Kingdra enough power on Surf, which get's STAB and is a 95 Base move.

I'd also liek to say that you can reduce the number of Dancers to 3, with one holding Damp Rock. It's more convenient.

I thought about giving Kingdra a little more versatility by getting rid of Dance, but in this metagame where Sandstorm is everywhere, I need to be able to keep Rain up consistently. It can be a pain not having a fourth attack on Kingdra, but I find it actually more convenient to be able to reset Rain Dance without having to switch like crazy.

TTar and Hippowdon are OU, but really aren't that common off a Sandstorm Team. Having an RD'r with Damp Rock gives you an edge, you don't need to switch back for a while and have more time to sweep.

Did you just say Tyranitar/Hippowdon aren't common? >_>

"Off a Sandtorm Team" is the key phrase.

"Off a Sandtorm Team" is the key phrase.

The thing about that statement is that they totally are seen off sandstorm teams. Hippowdon is a very common lead and a sturdy physical wall, and Tyranitar is just everywhere in general.

Team looks pretty good, maybe think about putting a Qwilfish in there, I used to use Rain Dance teams and Qwilfish served le' team very well.

Qwilfish@FocusSash
Adamant
Swift Swim Ability
252Atk/252Spd/6Def
-RainDance
-WaterFall
-PoisonJab/ToxicSpikes
-Explosion/DestinyBond

If your interested in Qwilfish, maybe replace him for Vaporeon? I don't see much use for Vaporeon, and ussualy Rain Dance teams need lots of sweepers so that they can make the best out of the 5 Turns they do have of Rain.

I kind of want something a little bulkier for my RD team. Gyarados is weak to Stealth Rock, but a Wish can remedy that easily. Water Absorb Vaporeon is happy to switch in on Gyarados's DDanced Waterfall all day. That being said, I can see what you mean about him not being able to do much aside from Wish, so, I've added Mixpert in. IMO he'll work a lot better than Qwilfish in standard matches, who, tbh, I find kind of ugly.

What about a bulky/atk Cloyster with rapid spin and/or toxic spikes?

If I want a Toxic Spiker/Spinner I'll go with Tentacruel. I don't actually have a Spinner on my team right now, so I hate to put anything more that's SR weak in my team.
